I need a change of pace, please!!! Like, no I get it... by it's very name Seme/Gong "attacker" and Uke/Shou "attacked" by definition (and being very heteronomative) imply roles of a top-only/bottom-only relationship sitch... BUT... I'm looking for novels that have a more dynamic (versatile) relationship OR novels with a Seme Protagonist... And yes, I know that's a tag I can search with, but it's not always accurate or useful... So, for example: -Rebirth of the Supreme Celestial Being... Seme Protagonist and a couple that ARE both ACTUALLY interested in each other, and not an endless reluctant Uke/Shou. -The Wife is First... Although the Seme Protagonist Spoiler is a bit shameless and sometimes outright full of trickery , and the Uke/Shou Spoiler suffers from some typical tropes of always running from sex , so far it's still an enjoyable change of pace. Example of something I'm NOT looking for: -In Love with an Idiot... Spoiler Even if you argue that the couple is versatile (once)... the dynamics of the relationship... are not for me... lots of people love it though. But I'm not a super huge fan of "rape victim becomes lover" *shrugs* and honestly found how the uke-was-a-seme-HIS-WHOLE-LIFE-UNTIL-HE-IS-RAPED-and-then-forced-to-be-a-uke against his will repeatedly (except once, but still in a very emasculating, disrespectful way) until the Stockholm Syndrome fully set in... yeah... just no -Addicted... Like, yes, I read it... Spoiler and they are more versatile than ILWAI... but it's still pretty one sided and not super healthy I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR SUGGESTIONS!!! Real life spoiler: Spoiler Guys like... time together... so, PS... enjoy the stories, but know gay men... yeah... the uke in most stories... umm... not reality. lol
