So many novels have a zero to hero theme where the protag is often the weakling and has issues that makes him/her lag behind their peers in strength and only compensate by stumbling upon some ancient and magnificent legacy from an old legend. Is there any decent novels where the MC doesnt start out as a waste? If i could find something where the MC is already super powerful (at or near the peak of strength) at the start of the novel and the story focus isn't about the MC pursuing strength like in every other novel, but more about the world building, political intrigue, personal relationships/friendships. Thanks for your recs!
okay this isn’t a novel sorry but I really wanna recommend one punch man if you haven’t heard of it (you probably have) because I love it, it has a show and it’s also a manga, it’s really funny and enjoyable, a good thing to pass time doing.
Hi there! I'm writing a small novel myself. It only has 10 published chapters at the moment, but I can tell you that it fits your bill pretty nicely. My MC isn't the strongest at the start, but he is pretty strong already. And most of all, he is hella smart so what he doesn't have in strength he compensates with clever planning and scheming. The main focus of the story won't be MC gaining strength but rather a lot of underhanded political scheming and other shenanigans. The name of the novel is Occidendum and you can find it on Tapas or RoyalRoad. If you decide to give it a read, let me know and if you've got any questions, I'll be happy to answer. Have a good one!
Experimental Logs of the Crazy Lich It directly starts at the post-game like content where the MC finished his grinding and OP but not too OP. It gives off the vibes of going back onto your lv 200 maplestory account and finishing the post-game stuff with your friends, going on raids and exploring how you forgot about your lv 300 pet and having fun with them too. It fits your bill pretty well but the MC is ridiculous but realistic. He's slightly crazy, but I like that part of him because unlike other MC's which try to be perfect as the reader we know he's imperfect, but he embraces that imperfection which is a liberating feeling knowing you don't need to be perfect.
Probably to different based on the other recs but https://www.novelupdates.com/series/i-said-make-my-abilities-average/ Is pretty much about that exact thing
