Filtering chinese novels

I have excluded commonly used tags and genres like wuxia, xianxia, xuanhuan, ancient china, adapted to/from manhua, racism, and nationalism, and it doesnt seems to be working very well since there are still chinese novel on my homepage. Is there any other way to filter them?

There's a few drama, romance, even horror, mystery, tragedy

 

You need to stop lying to yourself. All Chinese authors are just money hungry scumbags. They will ruin any story in order to drag it out and make more money. They also obey people that donate money and write what they tell them. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Chinese novel that didn’t have pointless idiots talking trash to the mc for no reason. 95% of Chinese novels are harem and the mc’s are self righteous scumbags.

 

Exactly, thats what im asking about. I want to filter also those chinese romance with tags like that but looks like its an impossible task

 

I know it's has been requested a few times. Either I never figured out how to use it or it was never implemented.

There is a vague recollection of @Tony rejecting that kind of filter once... granted that would have been years ago though

 

-_- Agreed, most (not all) CN authors just write whatever sells well, not caring about the quality of the story. They are commonly called "yy novels" and it actually counts as a genre for CN readers.
Honestly, I wish that there was an English-equivalent genre/tag for these novels, just so that I can filter them out.

 

Damn thats horrible. I want to filter novels like this chinese parody of popular games and ghost marriage which doesnt have specific unique tags to itself.

I aint got no time to filter them chinese shits manually one by one. Idk why but i've been didnt get really hyped up with novels anymore since chinese novel dominated this site already. I just want to read japanese fluffy novel and korean because i want to relax and not getting upset about amount of racism and nationalism in chinese novel.

Thanks, but do you have any solutions to filter daily release? Not series finder since i usually find new novels to read from daily release.

So do you just read Japanese crap? Japanese novels are unbearable and I’ve only seen a few that I like. One of them being Power In The Shadows.

 

Put Webnovel in the groups to exclude. That’s a good couple hundred novels at least.

I dropped a Chinese novel involving devil fruits. A guy in the comments told the author that he would pay him money if he created a made up fruit that he wanted. The author did it and I dropped the novel. I hate most made up devil fruits because they are random and don’t seem like real ones. I only like creating devil fruits that make sense like saber-toothed tiger, panda, gorilla and other zoan fruits. I’m also fine if you add something like a wind logia. Im 95% sure that Dragon has the wind logia and I’m sure somebody has it even if he doesn’t.

Waouh, just read this thread and it seems like there's a lot of hate concerning Chinese novels. I guess it all comes down to personal experience considering that the Chinese novels I've read were godly. It's your opinion after all, but don't generalize every Chinese novel being like what you've said.

 

I already tried to ask Tony to have a filter on language but it wasnt granted.
Just try to filter out groups and translators that mainly work with CN.

Just a friendly meow advice.
Check the title page before reading.
If it says CN or reading the summary theres a CN looking name then skip it.

 

That series finder page was based on most recent updates. So it's practically the same as the daily release page, but without all the Chinese novels. And you'd still find newly translated novels that way
