I read mtl (no need to pity me) some Jp novels and in some of them there are things like "doya face" and "doya look" etc. I kinda get what it means but kinda don't...
Well as far as I know and correct me if I'm wrong there's no good translation for it in english. It's like a "see I could do it" or "I'm good at it how about you" face. It's a kind of word that you kind of understand but couldn't explain that well
Comes from the word "douda-egao!" (see that! Face) into doya-gao Doya-gao (ドヤ顔) is a slang term for the face made when showing off. Usually they make the recipient irked, though sometimes it is considered cute depending on the situation. It comes from the Kansai dialect version of "dou da「どうだ」", which is "do ya「どや」", a phrase that translates to "How's that?" So, the literal translation would be a "how's that face" From quora
Doya seems cute at least but Chinese jade stuff on the other hand......mount tai and Buddhist made up bs....all remind me of my terrible experience mtling a book.
3 years of playing granblue fantasy with max volume, i can proudly say that meaning of do ya is how's that
