Yea, Im alive. I was just playing World Of Warcraft for a while. I just wanna know if you guys like hip-hop/rap music. Don't give me those dumb fucking excuses of "Raps not even technically music(proceed to quote ben shapiro)...", "Well, all hip-hops the same. It jsut talks about drugs, moeny and women."or "Its just so bad". Those aren't reasons. I want you guys to be open to listening to new music and acknowledging things that are out of your comfort zone. I don't want you to stay in that little bubble you call "real music". I want you to expand into the greater depths of whats possibly out there. Its ok to dislike hip-hop or rap but you gotta have an actual reason instead of a poopie take. Also, anyone else hyped for Phantasy Star Online 2 : New Genesis? Heres some a playlist of a bunch of music that I like.
I tried to listen to a bit of everything in rap but I only liked a few songs from NF, Logic, and Eminem. A few days ago I had a nap listening to Mockingbird lol
I don't really listen to hip-hop (and I don't really know what counts as hip-hop). And as for rap, do rap battles count?
I listen to alot of genre, classical, pop, heavy metal, rock, rap, ballad, rnb and even meme music.. hahaha but now I prefer alternative rap? idk what you call it someone like Joji, yonnyboii (musician in my country)
Yeah, I like them both, but it depends on the presentation. I like the old musics, though. The current ones... meh, except for those with bars and flows.
Don't really enjoy it, although I'm still ok with occasional mix/blends with regular pop music, and instances where it's a useful means of expression (rap battles, etc). As a regular song to listen to while driving down the highway, definitely not. While hip-hop had its roots in non-violence, there's no denying it's been co-opted with a lot of hip-hop artists introducing combative imagery into their songs. I think at some point, even Killer Mike and some of the bigwigs were imploring the industry to stop it (the whole Chiraq debate). Even if the intent wasn't violence, you unfortunately can't dictate how a significant number of people still perceive it as violence. That's pretty typical with a lot of cultural memes. I also sometimes get the feeling that hip-hop is just a long list of (legitimate) complaints, which is depressing.
There are some I like, like some songs of Neffex and some rap battles, though most of them feel boring or off putting for some reason, as for hip-hop, is it tasty?
I don't really like a complete hip hop/rap song since i prefer balad, although if it's included as one part of a song i can enjoy it. I just can't listen to a compete hip hop/rap song. On another note, New Genesis is an interesting take and i sure am hyped for it on 2021!!
If a song/music is good then I like it but that doesn't mean that I like a particular genre of music/songs
