I was surprised today when someone asked me on here who I was.
I am top 4 for most posts and I do not even play games here
    https://forum.novelupdates.com/members/
I am as narcissistic as the next guy and this rubbed me the wrong way so I need to make sure people know
Disclaimer: I apologize in advance if this is considered a business thread

Everyone knows that I run asianhobbyist.com so no need to go on about that.
I usually lurk around the forums looking for prey newbie translators to make them an offer that they cannot refuse: Helping them start a website while I cover all the upfront costs(Taking only 30% of the ad revenue)
    • Domain registration for one year
    • Webhosting costs
    • Ability to use ads from day 1. This includes Google Ads, Taboola, Infolinks etc
    • And other miscellaneous help
Imagine this: 100 websites translating 100 novels a month.
Of course, it will not get that high but if I can start enough active websites then I can shut down Asianhobbyist.com but will still be able to say this:
You don't have to like me but you got to read those novels because of me(albeit indirectly)

And don't worry Translators get credit, after all, it is their website not mine.
So what are you waiting for? Start a website.
    1. *You can earn $200,000 from 200,000 ad views according to some*
    2. I also heard some unsubstantiated claims that all translators have Ferraris
I cannot prove both statements but they are people searching for the Philosopher's Stone. I won't judge

*I do not endorse that message

P.S. I run an Ad Network for newbies. When you get big enough you graduate from it

Iya, iya. No need to cross out your real intentions there.
Though, it seems you forgot to put the cotton to the inside walls of your cheeks when saying that last part.

And of course, every translator should in some point in their life own a Ferrari of their own.

Though, I must say, you've been advertising yourself heavily in these last few drama-filled days.
    Are you alright?
Did someone threaten to toss you out from under the bridge?

Cheers for giving a Warning for newbies though.

Edit: Though you might have meant the offer in such a way.

"an offer that they cannot refuse: Helping them start a website while I cover all the upfront costs(Taking only 30% of the ad revenue)"

I think I'd refuse that right away. A whopping 30% of the already minuscule money a novice translator will make at the start until a series kicks off in exchange for what I can only imagine is not much money at all, depending on what service you use. (Wordpress is free, and the paid alternatives cost in the 10-20 dollars range? Heck, your site uses premium wordpress which starts out at 8 a month, and only starts getting expensive when you factor in plugins, of which I have no idea which you even have and if any are even expensive or cost anything at all) I guess you weren't kidding when you saying preying lmao. Are you openly admitting (or joking) to taking advance to naive people that don't make much now, with the express purpose of raking in that sweet cash for doing what is effectively no real amt of work later down the line when they have an actual reader base?

Domain name for a year? Depending on name, a couple dollars to a dozen or so dollars for the year.
Webhosting costs? Ehhh, maybe 5-20 a month? Could be free (for you)if you have a service in your house, which you should by now.
Ability to use ads? Adsense, Taboola and infolinks are not hard to set up, at all.
