Request Translators Bring Out Your Ferraris

Just a reminder, I am explicitely talking about Youtube Ad revenue, which uses google adsense, same as most sites. I figure since the 2 spaces are quite similar, only difference is videos tend to get higher CPM in general, I expect trends in ad pricing to match since it's more of an ad space trend not so much a trend only for text sites or videos. Like back when I was working in Mitch's site, I remember the YT Apocalypse actually dropped our ad revenue down quite a bit.
Back to numbers.
Nov-March avg 6.70CPM (Dec and Jan same cpm as well), March to June avg 7.46. If I look at just June as a matter of fact, my avg cpm is 8.30

 

Ooooo. I have no first-hand information/knowledge of Youtube ads, so I'll shut my damn math. That being said, 6.70 CPM, holy SHIT!!! What is the take home on an RPM/eCPM basis for total views, when factoring in adblocks and regionals and all that?

 

I don't think I will have a need for all those ads and taxes information but I have to say that I am really learning a lot from all this

 

Do translators make any money? I don't think it's possible to live off as a Translator even if your the Translator for a big series.

 

Yes it is possible depending on the cost of living of where you are located. But it requires Ko-fi, Patreon, translating 40+ hours a week and being consistent in quality and releases. Here's an interesting post about translating webnovels as a career.
