Mainly towards her enemies, but actually some innocent people were hurt as well through her schemes. Anyway, the tortures are really too bloody and disgusting and made me uncomfortable. 2ndly, the logic started to be bended for plot convenience towards the 2nd part of the story. Like, for example, the way she managed to convince everyone that she wasn't the prime minister's real daughter wasn't believable. If they asked anyone from the other country, they'd easily find out it's a lie. Such low level scheme wouldn't really work irl. And many other unsound rationalizations. I liked the 1st part of the story better. The way she so easily started to care for these strangers as her most beloved family, which didn't suit her personality at all, also felt out of place. Btw, I gotta say I don't get why ppl like Queen Pei so much? The side story at the end was supposed to make us sympathise with her, but I don't get how? It actually made her look worse? Spoiler: Queen Pei She really didn't care about anyone but herself her whole life and considered herself superior to everyone else. Although she never treated her little brother warmly, he loved her. One time did he act disobediently and messed up her plans and she completely abandoned him. Even towards him, she only had conditional love, he was only good as long as he listened to her. I thought the side stories were gonna show a tear jerking story about how she loved the emperor, he fooled her he loved her so he could marry her and after marrying him she found out she was lied to. But no, not al all. Her parents got her married to him ad they only met after the marriage. She didn't love him at all, but only cared about her pride. I also feel sorry for Princess Qinxia. She knew the emperor first before finding out he was her brother and never wanted to have a physical relationship with him, but she was raped by him. Princess Qinxia always tried to run away from him and nevr tried to hurt or interfere with his relationship with the queen, no matter how Queen Pei treated her. Yet, Queen Pei only used her and after she went crazy from being abused by General Pei, the Queen only felt sorry she became useless. As she still had plans to use this pawn to threaten the emperor later, she actually never planned to release her and help her get away from the Emperor as she promised. The crown prince also really loved her as his mother. As he was Princess Qinxia's real child with the emperor, she didn't care and sent him to his death as was her plan for the beginning. The most pitiful was her innocent child with the emperor, which she indirectly killed. Even so, she never felt guilty, much less reflected on herself. What sin did that child commit to be born under this b*tch? Poor thing had a weak constitution since birth, but she was only stern and cold with him and she even sent away the only person who ever treated him warmly, his nanny. It was really heartbreaking to see how none of the servant would help such a young and sick child under her orders, and he had to crawl on the table like a beggar to eat. Seeing that, she only screamed at him like the shrew she is and he ran away and was almost killed by a thunder. Seeing that, she seemed to finally realise her mistakes, she hugged him for the first and last time and apologised to him, but too late. All the psychological abuse she caused him, plus the fright from the thunder, killed his already sick little body. Guess what, after this she only became more cruel. As if none of this was her fault?!?? Lastly, there was one person who loved her unconditionally, no matter how she used him all his life and abandoned him when he was no longer useful, her aide, Ying Chu. It doesn't matter how he always stayed by her side and committed all kind of atrocities for her, cleared the way for her, getting her to her current position and ended up cursed because of that. She said in her thoughts how she only viewed him as a tool because he's just a lowly servant. Well, you're just a lowly parasite who only cares about herself. You're not worthy of love because you only used, then betrayed everyone's love for you. In the end she didn't love anyone. But herself.
hi. i just want to ask what happen to the fourth prince mo bei who is somewhat trying to woo wei yang and he cheng who is the princess of mo bei? i want to know their encounters with wei yang. thanku also am i the only one who feels sad about the death of bai zhi, mo yue, qin yiniang and lao furen? even though i just had practically not read it yet but the thoughts of their death makes me discourage to continue to read this novel
Yes, their deaths are too sad That prince of Mo Bei dies. He did try to rape mc, and ML shot him with an arrow. He goes back to his tent to recuperate. Later used the prince's wife to kill him, trying to blame ML and MC. I can't remember under whose orders, probably another prince's. The princess ends up with of of WY's step-brothers (not the 1st or 2nd brothers, nor the one who likes WY, the other one). He fell for the princess first. She lives with WY(her new bff) and her family after both the Marajah and the Prince die.

There isn't a finalised translation, I mtl-ed it. The Jiangs all die by the end. MC's "cousin" prince that likes her becomes emperor. But after he still tried to obtain mc, so ML kills kim and a young prince(I think he didn't appear much in the story) becomes emperor.
