I remember when I joined the translator discord back in 2017 or so. I got a lot of welcome as a new translator. But when I pointed out that I would be hiring translators since I only speak English, I got crickets. The smear campaign began even before I launched my website. No one knows how my site works. I keep it private. Calling my business model suspicious I would accept but shady when they have no idea how it works is just stupid. Funny story: since my website focuses more on Japanese novels, I contacted a translating agency that was to translate X number of chapters for me per month for about $3,000. Top quality and fast releases This was before I learnt that emulating large websites was a dumb idea. I almost went forward with it until I was told that they do work for Kadokawa and even with webnovels from Syosetu they cannot translate the works of a fellow client. I was saddened at the time but I dodged a bullet. Using ad revenue since I had no Patreon at the time. I would never have recouped the cost. Webnovel.com could offer such a contract consistently but even if I could offer it once it would have zero benefits. Anyway, small websites should stop trying to emulate larger websites. I don't really want to commit working with anyone right now. But I can make suggestions and helps if it's only a few performance fix. You can invite me to your WP as a team to let me look at your code if you want, though, after auditing your site just now, I doubt I can help you much to get into Play Store. Your Lighthouse perf score is about 20~ (edit: it's 40~, actually, I put the wrong link before), while Play Store would require you to make it at least 80 or above. Most of the problems that should be solved are in the frontend, mainly because third-party scripts and oversized images. There's nothing I can help you for third-party scripts, unless you make sacrifice and let go some of ads, I doubt you can achieve minimum performance score required to enter Play Store. But at least, I can help with anything else that can be quickly fixed. For images, since you already using Jetpack plugin, you can actually make it smaller by adding a few characters by the end of the image urls. But to make the most out of it there should be custom tinkering and forethought strategies, which can't be done by WordPress plugins that serves many types of websites.
