Spoiler: Chapter 91-100 Part I

Lydia is becoming very popular to the soldiers at Periland camp as many of them keep coming to her to help calm or train unruly animals.

Her popularity is getting so high that it catches Jamie’s attention and he comes to talk to her during breakfast. Jamie is awkward but he cautions Lydia that she needs to be careful that she is drawing too much attention as she is from Herron and not Periland and leadership will start to look at her more closely. He tells her he knows she’s not doing it intentionally.

Lydia feeling awkward herself tells him okay she’ll be careful from now on. Jamie smiles and thanks her. Unfortunately, that doesn’t resonate with the soldiers and they still come to her asking her to help with puppies and she can’t refuse because it's puppies . She helps them and remembering her conversation with Jamie tells them not to mention her work trying to start a low profile.

Eusis comes over and scolds the soldier who’s not good at listening to Lydia’s request and both have a chat after the soldiers apologize and leave.

Lydia tells Eusis about what Jamie said to her and Eusis tells Lydia well he doesn’t agree totally with that and it’s because Jamie’s probably trying to protect Yurishina’s reputation since she brought someone from Herron and they’re currently in the middle of a battle with them.

Lydia’s like why didn’t he say so in the first place?! Yusis tells Lydia he admired her skills as the animal tamer and she’s done a lot of good for the soldier.

Lydia has been noticing that both Jamie and Eusis have been having conflicts during meetings and Yurishina seems to be in the middle between the two as they are all part of the war council. Eusis mentions that he’s trying to help keep Jamie under check on some of the decisions he’s making as he doesn’t always agree with the methods and then Eusis shared with Lydia that he was originally engaged to Yurshina when they were young!

He confesses that she has always treated him as a brother and that he was waiting his time but it didn’t work out as when he came to rescue Yurshina she had already fallen in love with Jamie. Lydia on the other hand is thinking wow, didn’t know there was a 2nd ML from the novel and that’s sad because Eusis is so kind and that’s so sad, but she’s still rooting for the main heroine and book ML. Lydia tells Eusis he’ll meet someone just for him someday and he thanks her.

After that revealing conversation heads back to her tent to care for the two star flower pots that she took quickly when they had originally fled Lilly castle. While looking at the star flowers, Lydia is irritated at Jamie and can’t believe Marr’s into this dude who’s so into Yurishina that everyone else doesn’t matter to him. So Lydia tells herself I’m going to steal Mar away from him and make him think of Lydia and fall in love with her instead! She starts to wonder what were Mar’s “tastes” are she only knows the emperor’s taste.

In thinking about that she realizes she needs to get a bigger bucket. So she heads out to find a bucket and then comes back and Yurishina approaches Lydia by the entrance of her tent. Yurishina wants to talk to her and Lydia has a moment of panic as she realizes her hidden flowers are sitting on her bed. She tried to stop Yurishina but it was too late. Yurishina opens the tent and stops and stares at Lydia’s bed.

Spoiler: Chapter 91-100 Part II

Now that her secret is out, Lydia tries to recover by telling Yurishina “Isn’t it pretty?”. Yurishina goes pale quickly asking Lydia where she got Astra flowers. Lydia tells Yurishina these are her star flowers and she’s been raising them at Lilly Castle.

Yurishina’s eyes go big finding out Lydia can raise these flowers and then Lydia tells Yurishina she’s going to sell them when she opens a flower shop.

Yurishina goes into panic mode “ You sell astra flowers?!?!?”

Lydia has no clue why Yurishina is freaking out and sweating and she goes on to explain she’s been experimenting with this flower and this is the item she told Yurishina about for her future flower shop.

Yurishina needs to sit down and Lydia’s wondering what is wrong. Yurishina, worried for her friend asks Lydia if does she not really know about this flower. Lydia is wondering what Yurishina means and Yurishina tells her that the flower creates the perfume bottle that Lydia had returned to Yurishina back at Tulip Castle. Lydia’s like huh? Lydia tells Yurishina sorry she thought it was her favorite perfume, she didn’t know that it came from the flower.

Yurishina puts her face in her head and Lydia starts to panic going OMG what’s wrong at the same time Jamie walks into the tent.

Spoiler: Chapter 91-100 Part III

It’s dinner time and Lydia is sitting with Yurishina, Jamie, Galen, and Eusis are all looking at her and her star flowers are sitting at the center of the table. Everyone is looking at her oddly.

Yurishina asks Lydia how she learned to grow these flowers as it’s very hard and a rare skill to learn. Lydia explains how the flowers came to her and how she discovered how to grow them. Yurishina then asks if Lydia knows this flower produces a world-class poison.

Poison!??! Lydia is confused. Why would it produce poison and how did a poison plant end up as part of a concubine’s monthly delivery supply?

Eusis confesses to the others that it was his fault. He originally wanted to sneak the rare flower into the imperial city to give to Yurishina to protect herself but there was a mix-up and he didn’t know they ended up at Lily Castle.

Lydia now realizes her beautiful flower shop dream is really dead. As in dead, dead. Who wants to grow poison and thank god she doesn’t know how to create poison from the flowers yet.

The war panel is discussing the discovery and Yurishina talks to others as they are amazed at the new skills that Lydia has. She’s a beast tamer and now possesses the rare gift of growing these flowers. Yurishina if Lydia for a favor and only she can do it to help Yurishina's people. Yurishina explains that currently Periland is not doing very well in the war right now and inevitably they will lose. So the war panel needs to get a weapon that utilizes the Astra flower as poison. It would be a deadly chemical weapon. Yurishina begs Lydia that since she's an expert in the flower and they are not she can head to Periland while they are in the front holding on until she can bring it back to them.

Yurishina tells Lydia there is one alchemist who can make the astra juice and it’s easier for Lydia to go as everyone else is known and hi-profile. They will also give her a soldier to accompany her safely to the kingdom. Feeling pressure and feeling also that she can help, she agrees in exchange she demands from Jamie that when she’s done, he gives her unlimited resources for her to command so that she can find her servant. Jamie agrees and Lydia goes on a quest to get the weapon.

Yurishina thanks Lydia. Please be safe because she wants to see Lydia again and continue to be trusted friends.

Spoiler: Chapter 91-100 Part VI

Jamie and Eusis give Hugo the big difficult black horse for her to ride since no one else can ride him but her. During her preparation, Jamie walks over to Lydia and apologizes for his deception about asking her to not stand out so much.

Yurishina, Eusis, Galen, and Jamie bid Lydia farewell and watched as she headed to Periland accompanied by Lumel as her guide back to the kingdom.

On their ride away Rumel introduces himself. He’s been appointed by the command and he’s been working for the rebellion for the past few months he’s been in charge of working with the Periland alchemist to deliver precious metals to Galan for the war. Rumel guides Lydia through secret passageways from a map given to them by Jamie so that they can arrive safely.

The two stop by an inn to rest in Vitra.

What the.. Lydia is by herself trying to attack marr, even she doesnt know that marr is the emperor. Idk its kinda frustrating and annoying that lydia choose to help yurishina and jamie. I know itsnot lydia's wrong, but still.. I hope she will know soon that the one she thought as enemy was her crush.

 

Warning ! Nose-bleed spoiler - Lydia has er...um..a dream and….

Spoiler: Chapter 101- 110 Part I

As they are in the stable in Vitra and getting Hugo (horse) set in his stall. Lydia notices there is a circus in town and that there are so many donkeys in the stable as well. Rumel is worried about the animals showing too many reactions to her as they’re on a mission and she’s known as the beast tamer .

Lydia was curious about the circus but since they’re on a secret mission they really need to focus and need to be under a hooded robe so as to not attract too much attention to themselves.

As they are about to leave the inn’s stable, a little boy bumps into Lydia spilling his bowl and contents on the ground. The young boy quickly apologizes to them both. Lydia instead comforts him and the boy looks up at Lydia and says, “Are you an angel?” as his grandfather reads him stories about angels. Lydia responds that she isn’t and the child goes but that’s not true, you’re too pretty. Smiling at how sweet the child is she pats his head and helps him pick up the bread on the floor. He waves her sweetly a goodbye miss angel but just as she’s about to leave she hears a drunk burly man come in and yells at the boy accusing him of stealing bread for the donkeys.

The drunkard becomes violent and Rumel protects Lydia by moving him out of the way as he’s trying to swing for the boy. Lydia yells at the man to stop as the boy is terrified of the drunkard. Rumel stands in between the drunkard and Lydia trying to keep the man at a distance from Lydia but she insists that she’ll buy the bread from the man for the boy. She quickly takes out some coins and hands them to the drunkard while pulling the young boy behind her.

The drunkard excited at the number of coins yells pointing at the kids, they’re not humans but beasts, and goes to spend the money on more drinks. Lydia quickly turns to the boy and tells him to escape and he grins and leaves.

Upstairs in their room, Lydia apologizes to Rumel wondering if he’s upset about her getting them into trouble and that he looks slightly ill. Rumel tells her he’s fine and they’re going to leave tomorrow after breakfast and he leaves.

An exhausted Lydia falls asleep at the inn and dreams of Mar

Spoiler: Chapter 101- 110 Part II

~ Beginning of dream sequence ~

Lydia is outside sitting in the grass leaning against a tree and enjoying the amazingly sweet fruit that Mar is cutting and prepping in small pieces and serving it to her. She eats and is in heaven. Finally notices that he’s stopped handing her fruit pieces. She asks if there are more. Mar apologizes gently holding up his fruit juice-covered hands, and tells her there isn’t any to her disappointment as she’s craving more fruit.

Mar catches her looking at his fingers which are soaked in fruit juices.

A shocked Lydia watches as then Mar proceeds to slowly lick his fingers one by one!

Lydia gulps, soundlessly mesmerized by his tongue and mouth doing the things he’s doing and she’s feeling really guilty if she’s watching something she shouldn’t be watching.

A dazed Lydia is so distracted she barely hears Mar’s next soft words, “..Do you want to eat?”...Lydia’s still slow at thinking…. ‘do I want to eat fruit or.. Hyuk!’

Shaken, she quickly says ‘on no’ to which Mar’s face gets close, and gently tells Lydia that she’s been staring at him for a while. Panic Lydia is trying to escape thinking ‘Go away, go away, emergency, emergency!’

Not answering, Mar finally looks away and wipes his hand. A panic-stricken Lydia’s thinks ‘thank god!’ and breathes out in relief for the reprieve.

It doesn’t last for long when Mar says, “...you were thinking about it, weren’t you?” and takes her hand.

Lydia is like ‘What? What?!’ Does he know!? Her mind is in a frenzy again.

Mar says you’ 've been thinking about having fruit again isn’t she?

Lydia nods several times quickly and Mar tells her that he won’t let her think about it anymore. A Lydia is like ‘huh?’ and then a tickling sensation hits her. “You, what are you doing now?”

Mar who still has Lydia’s hand proceeds to slowly lick the fruit juices off of Lydia’s fingers!

All she can do is watch his tongue.

“M..mar..?’ Lydia’s flustered and can’t even begin a coherent thought. What is this feeling she is experiencing? She’s getting dizzy, she closes her eyes and trembles. Her body is feeling incredibly hot.

Then she quickly pushes Mar away telling him to stop! And asks him what he is trying to do. She can barely speak properly.

Mar smiles innocently telling her that he is trying to prevent her from thinking about fruit again.

Lydia can’t even respond. She’s feeling weird, she’s feeling Mar being weird. Her mind is all over the place.

Mar finally whispers to her, “You really don’t know? Why am I doing this?” and he closes into Lydia as she is pressed back against the tree trunk.

Lydia shakes her head and before she can react, Mar presses closer and says “Then I’ll let you know. Don’t forget” and proceeds to deeply kiss Lydia.

Mar finishes the kiss. Lydia can’t even breathe.

Mar looks closely at a dizzy Lydia and tells her provocatively…. “I’m seducing you.”

Hyuk!

And Lydia wakes up.

~ End dream sequence ~

Spoiler: Chapter 101- 110 Part III

An awakened Lydia is still blushing and she smacks both her cheeks freaking out why did I have such a lewd dream!?! She is so embarrassed even and it wasn’t really a bad dream but then she’s feeling awkward as well. It felt so real to her and she’s wondering if this is what she wanted.

She wonders if it’s because of the ring that is around her neck that is pressing close to her heart while she sleeps.

Now that she can’t sleep she wakes up and gets ready to leave. She wonders if she has awoken too early. She knocks on his door but he doesn’t respond and she can’t find him. So she heads to the stables again to check up on Hugo. There she observes all the circus donkeys there with them. Lydia notices the child is there again who had called her with an angel yesterday sitting with the donkeys.

Lydia kneels down and asks the young boy why he’s here again and she notices that he’s bringing food to feed the donkeys. The boy strangely introduces one donkey’s name as “Kevin.”

Lydia tells the young boy to call her “sister” instead of an angel and the boy proceeds to ask Lydia to stay as he would like to introduce her to his friends who are a group of donkeys. Lydia is a little confused and then 3 men come into the stables. One is the drunkard from yesterday. Lydia hides the young boy behind her and the men approach asking for more money.

The men start to threaten Lydia but the boy draws the men’s attention shouting at them and then proceeds to tell a lie which causes the boy to transform. The transformation results in a strong wind power that blows the men away. They fall and a stunned Lydia looks shocked at the little boy. He’s transformed a bit and has an animal’s nose and a tail now. He rushes to Lydia and asks if she’s alright. The 3 men start to recover and just then Rumel arrives and knocks them all out.

Rumel informs Lydia there’s a change of plan and they need to meet the alchemist not in Periland but at one of the border areas and they have to leave soon.

Lydia looks at the boy and asks for his name because she now has an idea of what’s going on. An animal face, family members that are donkeys...

He says his name is “Pinot de Keio” (Pinnochio) which makes Lydia smile and she asks if his grandfather’s name Geppeto de Kieo (from the imperial palace).

Pinot gleefully asks Lydia how she knows. And Lydia tells Pinot the donkeys are really humans aren't’ they? Pinot nods so Lydia, being the animal tamer, helps them escape with Pinot who has the root that they can eat to be human again.

Pinot hugs and waves his sister goodbye as they all make their escape. Lydia burst into laughter as the rides away thinking about all that’s happened that was not in the book that she’s read.

They finally arrive after another day at a small log cabin outside of another small town. Lydia proceeds to meet the Alchemist.

Spoiler: Chapter 101- 110 Part IV

Lydia is a little nervous as she’s never done this before. In the log cabin is an old man who greets her very kindly asking if she is a Miss Lydia Odette who has come for the weapon for Princess Yurishina.

The alchemist hands her a box that contains the chemical weapon and asks Lydia to sit down and wonders if he can ask her a few questions. Lydia totally agrees and he proceeds to confirm that she can grow Astra flowers. He however cannot and only those with the bloodline that is blessed by the Guardian God can do so.

Lydia is like huh, a blessing? He can create the poison but not the flower? Lydia tells him that she discovered it was tears that could melt the flower and she’s wondering if he knows how to create a non-poisonous perfume from the flower since he’s an alchemist thinking okay, my flower business is gone but is there hope for a perfume business?

The alchemist tells Lydia that what she has is really special and rare and the history and secret of the flower have been passed on from generation to generation.

In fact, the alchemist's name is based on two names from his grandfather's time. The first is “Astrea” meaning ruler of the moon and the second is “Astra” meaning ruler of the stars.

The alchemist goes into the history of his family. The alchemist’s grandfather had a fiance once. Though both were from different conflicting clans they promised to be with each other. Lydia thinks the story reminds her of Romeo and Juliet.

The two tribes were starting to kill each other with Grandfather’s side winning. He came to his beloved and asked her to marry his clan so that he could help prevent more deaths from her clan.

Lydia asks what happened and it turns out the lover betrayed the grandfather and stabbed him. He didn’t die as she missed his heart but the result ended in the grandfather losing his mind due to the betrayal. Due to the betrayal the grandfather’s clan had to flee and willed his clan and grandson to take revenge for him and the Alchemist points to the box that Lydia is holding as a revenge weapon.

Lydia discovers the tears made from anger turn the flower into a toxic poison whereas tears of sadness or others make a nice scent.

So the lchemist tells Lydia don’t you know how lucky you are and that he’s so relieved as he’s looking for a successor because as he’s become older it’s hard for him to make the juice anymore.

Lydia is like Wuh?!

Spoiler: Chapter 101- 110 Part V

The alchemist goes on to explain that she can grow both flowers and produce juice so how can he let such talent go to waste?

Lydia getting uncomfortable tells him she can’t do that as she’s not into revenge and that she only does sad tears to create a safe perfume she’s never made a weapon before.

Suddenly the alchemist turns harsh and cold to Lydia and asks her, “What did you say?”.

Nervous, Lydia turns to Rumel for help.

Rumel ignores her and instead takes the weapons box away from Lydia. He then proceeds to pull out a bottle filled with a thick red liquid (Lydia immediately recognizes the bottle he is holding is filled with blood.)

Rumel then informs the alchemist that he saw bloodstains on Lydia’s dress but she had shown no reaction and it doesn’t look like she is craving for blood. The Alchemist quickly directs Lydia to test her now!

Rumel opens the bottle and Lydia covers her nose from the stench of blood but shows no adverse reaction.

She asks what the heck is he doing!?

Rumel tells the alchemist it’s strange as he was hoping that Lydia was a… “strange half-breed with strange abilities.” …”The animals follow around like she is a king.”

Lydia has no clue what is happening and her body begins to tremble in fear.

The Alchemist rages at Lydia at what a detestable thing she did. (MTL) “I thought you were the blood of our Lycans. How dare you steal the power of our tribe on human subjects? Answer the truth, what trick did you do?!!!”

Lydia thinks frantically, ‘Lycans? So Rumen and the old man are lycans?!?’

Lydia starts to back away but the Alchemist closes the distance and menacingly tells her they can’t leave her alive anymore as she knows away too much.

Rumel comments it’s been a while since he’s had a fresh meal and the alchemist agrees with him.

Lydia tries to escape but is easily captured and constrained. In pure terror, she can’t do anything against their strength and they growl and begin their transformation into a wild animal with sharp fangs that is about to rip her into pieces.

All Lydia can see is her death as she closes her eyes. Passing out all she last remembers is some bang! And she falls into complete darkness.

Spoiler: Chapter 101- 110 Part VI

Lydia opens her eyes to a starry night sky. ‘Ooo..is this the afterlife’ thinks Lydia. Is this what it looks like when people die?

Lydia realizes she’s been lying on something really hard. She quickly sits up to look around. She’s in some deep forest and the moon is out on a clear night. Lydia wonders if this is the underworld instead of heaven.

She checks her heart condition, do dead people have beating hearts?

She then notices the ring around her neck is really warm, no... it’s really hot and she holds the ring up to the moonlight.

Then Lydia notices a solitary figure in the dark with beautiful red eyes and bright silver hair that is reflecting in the moonlight.

“M..Mar?!”

Lydia bursts into tears and Mar quickly approaches Lydia and begins to wipe the tears on cascading down her cheeks. “Don’t cry.”

Wanting the moment not to end. Lydia thinks oh no, Mar’s dead too! The bad guys killed our Mar!!! WAH!! (<-- MTL)

She reaches out to capture a perplexed Mar.

Lydia thinks the emperor of Heron has killed her Mar! And weeps even more and Mar embraces Lydia.

A distant voice calls out
(MTL)

“They're fleeing north! I've sent a chaser, and I can't figure out how to deal with it!"
"Kill them right there..no wait. Take them alive."
"Yes!" ​

Mar tells Lydia it’s time to go and Lydia pushes away from Mar looking at him. He gently brushes her neck and sees the ring he gave her.

He holds it in his palms and tells her you held it well.

Suddenly bright lights explode from the ring in Mar’s hand in complex patterns.

Lydia looks for the man who had originally shouted behind her. He is not around but what is left on the ground is an imperial flag. Lydia knows that flag and realizes what that ring is.

She’s hoping this is not true (this afterlife is way too vivid!) and when she looks at Mar.

“Your majesty...the emperor?”

Mar responded, “...Yes.”

YES!! - We made it! We have about 43 chapters left in the series as this it is coming to an end.

Finally after 100 ep lidia know his identity )

 

Funny thing is Lydia was so reluctant to tell even Marr about the secret of those flowers but said it so easily to those people from enemy country ... and why did she even once not think about Marr being in war against periland when she was doing all her best to help periland to win against Marr's country? I mean she saw Marr leaving for war and still she did not even hesitate for once to let periland use her knowledge to make poision and kill their enemy country where Marr is also fighting? did she not think that her weapon can also kill Mar who is in the war?

Heh -

Yeah - I would agree she's very ignorant of how heavy the burden she's taken on to retrieve the weapon yet at the same time, she's been kept so much in the dark by Mar from the poison plant to him being the emperor that she's going to make pretty poor decisions.

She still doesn't know who the emperor is, only by reputation of what other countries and the kingdom think of him. Mar's has allowed this as he doesn't allow people to see him, preferring at the time to let others know of his reputation of the war hungry god.

On the poison - She doesn't actually know how to make poison until she meets the Alchemist and you have to have revenge tears to do so. Lydia never feels revenge so she really doesn't have the power to make poison from the plant vs perfume. Hence she's almost killed by the Alchemist and Lycan.

On the weapon - Lydia thinks Mar is in Genovia a totally different kingdom which means he's fled the empire. When he tells her he has to go, he doesn't tell her if he's fighting for Heron side only that he's has to go and he'll be back for her. They were thinking of leaving the kingdom anyways and also if he is in Genovia then he is an escape slave of the Emperor. Which means he would be in mortal danger.

Though she's not comfortable with helping obtaining a weapon, as she hates violence, but if it's way to get to Mar in Genovia and protect him from the Emperor of Heron she would do it plus help a friend on the side too. Her motivation is to find Mar and escape and leave all this behind.

She's doesn't really want to be in the Periland rebellion but since she's escaped with Yurishina that's all she has right now since she can't go home to Lilly castle and Mar's gone. Escaping as a concubine is considered an act of treason too so heading back there means being put in the dungeon by the emperor as well. So you can say she's trapped.

For who she knows from Heron, well her friend Dahlia is in Vitra another far away kingdom, Yurishina is waging a war for independence, and Mar is gone in Genovia (supposedly). So the people she cares about, she believes is not part of the Heron army at all.

LOL - you could say well it's kinda all Mar's fault for not being truthful in the first place as Lydia wouldn't even be in this mess if she knew. But then we don't the hilarious situations they both go through.

In the next chapters for their reunion it's pretty funny as she thinks OMG he needs to kill me as:
- I've escaped as a concubine --> treason --> going to killed.
- I've been insulting the Emperor to his face --> treason --> going to be killed
- I've been disrespectfully yelling and scolding the Emperor and treating him as a servant --> treason --> going to be killed.
- I've also almost got a weapon against Heron --> treason --> going to be killed

Spoiler: Chapter 111- 115 Part I

After hearing Mar tells her he's the Emperor. Lydia faints into Mar's arms.

Lydia is dreaming about a fairy tale she heard about where there is a house made up of whipped cream and various candied desserts. One of her favorite was a marshmallow bed. She snuggles closer the marshmallow and wants to be there forever demanding that no one will take away her marshmallow. Lydia slowly starts to awaken from her dream. The sweet smell and fluffy feeling is that she's on a white bed and as she opens her eyes she sees Mar. Still half awake she reaches out to him brushing her fingers through his hear thinking so pretty...and then..'hyuk!'...wait..this isn't a dream! She drops her hands quickly.

He's been waiting for her to wake up. Lydia is starting to recall everything. This is not a dream and Mar is the Emperor.
All the memories come in a flash and Lydia's thinking frantically, ! can I run away now??!?!

“...Lydia…” Mar calls out to her.

Lydia sit's up not listening to Mar, her mind is racing as scenes are flashing through her head and then she says out loud, “Lord, I have sinned!!”

In the meantime, without knowing anything, I dared to pamper myself with the strongest of the empire, no.. the strongest of the continent! (aka Mar.)

I made him serve, bring meals and desserts, clean up and take care of flower beds. To that emperor who is called a war fanatic, a murderer, a tyrant, and the blood wind of the battlefield! Oh, I treated him like a puppy sometimes too!​

Cringing, Lydia’s thinking to herself, I’m about to die aren’t I? Lydia collapses onto the bed as more images of things she told Mar hit her as well recalling what she said to him:

She tells Mar to “Please kill me now.” Everything she’s heard about the heartless and cruel emperor is flashing through her mind.

Lydia puts her face down on the pillow and is thinking, that’s it, I’m a dead person.

Goodbye World! She tells herself as she is resigned to her fate and is awaiting for the sound of metal to be drawn out and to cut her down any moment now.

Of course nothing happens and Lydia waiting to die opens her eyes to see a Mar hovering over her with a sad smile.

Then Mar pulls Lydia to a sitting position at the bed and he bends down to her.

A confused Lydia formally greets the emperor:

L: “Uh...Great Emperor--”,
M: “Mar.”​

Mar gentle reaches out to hold Lydia’s hand.

M: “Do you see me as a cruel and terrible emperor?” ​

A confused Lydia thinks maybe ...maybe this is all a dream and he can’t be the emperor and jumps up and hugs him around his neck asking him if it’s a joke.

He tells her it’s not. He is the emperor and “... he is also her servant. “

Lydia sputters to respond but Marr asks Lydia to not be afraid of him as he hugs her around the waist and gently sits her back on the bed. “That doesn't change,” he tells her. “I'm the way you see me. So don't be afraid."

A confused Lydia starts to closely examine Mar. Her thoughts and emotions are all jumbled as this man looks like Mar, he feels like Mar, and ...she reaches up to brush her hand through his hair and pat him like a puppy. It was the moment when Mar tilted his head slightly as if he had waited.

Then it dawns on her.. What kind of emperor is this... Emperor?!?

Suddenly, she grabs Mar’s shirt angrily and shouts at Mar, “'Why did you lie!”

Spoiler: Chapter 111- 115 Part II

Emotionally distraught she starts to throttle him back and forth violently.

"Why! Why did you hide it! I still can't believe you lied to me! Was it so amazing that I was fooled? Do you know how many times you've lied to me? I didn't know that, and I thought you were a real prisoner of war and you had nowhere to go! So I pressed for you, my own going, how much...." ​

Lydia starts to get hoarse from her yelling and then with everything hitting her all at once she starts to cry and bury her face in her hands as she’s kind of relieved Mar’s not dead, they’re not in the underworld, and finally part of her is relieved he is the emperor because he probably won’t die that easy.

Mar pulls her in more tightly and apologies to Lydia for deceiving her. As he’s comforting Lydia in his arms, Mar goes into confession mode telling her he was watching her by chance and was just going to continue to watch her but then he became curious and when they had met the first time, he just took the role of servant without thinking about it. He really was not planning to stay around for long but she was always in his mind. So he kept hesitating and hesitating to leave as the more he was with her, the more he did not want to leave. He tells her he kept lying because he wanted to stay by her side and didn’t want to lose her. He confesses that he lied at being a prisoner of war and being from Genovia but his past history of being battle, his father, etc. were not a lie.

In a slightly hoarse voice, he pressed on and slowly released me with an attitude that he would accept whatever I said. M: "... ...I can't live without you." A candle-like voice that seemed to go out of nowhere. ​

Lydia, who's stopped crying listening to Mar's confession, starts to question the situation about Mar liking the Emperor aka Jamie. Mar tells her he’s never had those feelings for Jamie.

With all the deception and truth finally coming out, Mar nervously asks Lydia if she hates him now for lying that he was an emperor or does she hate that he is a scary emperor that lies or does she just hate him now?

Lydia sighs and looks at a pitiful Mar for a bit. Finally, she shakes her head saying “How can I really hate you?” Then she gets irritated and points her finger at his chest and tells him angrily, “I’m not leaving you! Whoever you are, I’ll be there forever!”

Mar suddenly grabs Lydia and hugs her tightly and she bursts into tears again.

Spoiler: Chapter 111- 115 Part III

As Mar is unsuccessfully trying to wipe away Lydia’s tears, Lydia is in a confession mood as well, so she squeaks out to him, “...Then...can I like you?”

A stunned Mar stops whipping her cheeks and looks at Lydia. He suddenly clasps Lydia’s face in both of his hands and asks her, “..is this true? That you like me?”

An embarrassed Lydia whispers, “.. yes.”

Suddenly, Mar lowers his head and kisses Lydia. She wraps her arms around his neck. His kisses become more urgent and deep as he continues to kiss Lydia.

A dazed Lydia realizes she’s lying with her back on the bed and Mar is above her passionately kissing her. She turns slightly to break the kiss as she’s out of breath. Mar is staring at her from above hungry.

Then Mar pulls her hand from his neck and begins to kiss the palms of her hand. It is very sensual that Lydia's heart is beating so fast, that she sputters out, “Where did you learn this..?”

Mar is confused.

She tells him she's wondering why he’s so good at what he’s doing right now to her. He used to be so innocent and child-like, but now he’s like some experienced ‘playboy’.

Lydia wonders if he’s practiced with other women because well, ... he has 31 concubines.

M: “Book”

L: “What?..Huh?”​

“Book” Mar basically tells Lydia he read about affection in a book and there has never been anyone before and from now on after but her.

Lydia is completely blushing as his confession tells her he’s liked her since Lilly Castle.

Mar starts to kiss her hand and palms again and not sure how to deal with this new aggressive Mar, Lydia pushes him back to get a breather in.
She tells Mar that he can’t do this without permission anymore as her heart can’t take it right now.

A sullen Mar backs away and they both sit up.

Suddenly Lydia remembers what happened yesterday with Rumel and The Alchemist. She asks how Mar got to her so quickly as she thought he was at the battlefront with Periland.

Spoiler: Chapter 111- 115 Part IV

(Disclaimer -- Took me a bit to understand this -- MTL)

Mar opens Lydia’s palm and drops his ring into her hand. It’s actually a magic ring that is infused with Mar’s blood. It is always connected to Mar and actually, the ring is somewhat alive and doesn’t want to be too far from its master. So Mar can detect it and locate it from a distance. Also, the ring can detect the nearest heartbeat which is Lydia since she holds it close to her chest. The ring considers Lydia as a 2nd heart and so when she was in a panic state and her heart was beating fast, the ring activated and signaled Mar Lydia’s feelings.

Lydia thought wow that's amazing magic .... no wonder she had such a lewd dream when she slept the ring against her heart. The ring conveyed her feelings to Mar.

She looks at Mar and concludes this means he must have known where she was all this time.

Mar nervously looks at Lydia

Lydia asks if he knew then why didn't he come and pick her up. A slow response from Mar makes Lydia think that maybe there is something wrong with the ring.

Spontaneously, she decides to try and experiment. She gets up and puts his ring on the opposite side of the room and returns to a perplexed Mar who’s wondering what she is doing.

Suddenly Lydia gropes his right chest trying to feel his heart beat to see if the ring reacts. In a panic, Mar struggles wondering what she’s trying to do and she holds his shoulder down telling him to be a good boy. She doesn’t notice how flustered Mar is right now. Lydia then freaks because she can’t feel a heartbeat! A resigned and embarrassed Mar quickly her grabs hand and moves it to the left side of his chest. In her hurry to feel his heartbeat, she gropes the wrong side of his chest. Lydia is relieved to feel his heartbeat. Since Marr’s heart is beating frantically the ring responds and Lydia is glad it’s not broken. (LMAO)

Knowing the ring is fine now, she asks Mar again why didn’t he pick her up earlier. A relieved Mar who’s no longer being groped tells her it was because he was afraid if she discovered he was the emperor she wouldn’t have come back with him. He tells her he was waiting for the right time when the war was over and peace was achieved that they would come back for her. He even tells her he is leaving his throne once everything is achieved.

Lydia thinks that abandoning a throne is way too extreme so she grabs Mar’s face to look at her. She tells him that she likes him as he is. If there is a flaw, then they will work it out together versus just throwing away everything just because he think the person he likes might not like it. She tells him he’s not a monster. She tells him she’ll forgive him just this once and if he is ever nervous about what she thinks of him, he should ask her first vs assuming the worst of himself.

Lydia demands that he answer her and he grins and tells her yes.

Happy she snuggles close to him which makes Mar tell her it’s “too close”. She asks “Why?”. He tells her because she told him he has to ask permission to get this close. Lydia looks up and bursts into laughter as Mar is completely red. She thinks he’s soooo so cute.

There is a knock on the door.

Spoiler: Chapter 111- 115 Part V

It’s the CAC (Commander and Chief) dude asking what to bring for dinner. Mar leaves Lydia for a few minutes brings back a tray of food to set up dinner for her and serves her her meal. It’s just like they are back at Lilly Castle.

As Lydia is finishing her meal, Mar brings her luggage and clothing.

Lydia asks what happened to Rumel and The Alchemist. Mar tells her they’ve both been apprehended and they’ll be interrogating them soon.

Lydia tells Mar she plans to go with him. Mar doesn’t agree.

She informs him about what they said to her. About being Lycans and that they were angry that she stole the ability of animals resonating around her for them. She mentions she told them that she could make the juice but couldn't make the 1st class poison from the Astra flowers and that she could also grow them.

Lydia sees a stunned Mar and rushes over to him asking if he’s alright. He shakes his head saying he’s fine as Lydia goes on to mention how Rumel pulled out a glass vial full of blood and made her smell the liquid.

Suddenly Mar asks Lydia does Periland and this Alchemist know she could make the juice from Astra. Nervously, Lydia replies yes she didn’t want to hold any secrets from him.

Mar suddenly gets furious as he asks Lydia if they had intended to use her to deliver or make chemical weapons.

Lydia quickly tells him no, it was only for retrieval because it was the only way she could get Jamie to give her the resources to go to Genovia to find him.

A shocked Marr asks Lydia, “You were trying to meet me?” She tells him, "Of course because she really missed him. Didn’t he miss her too?"

Lydia watches as a flustered Mar. Wanting to distract him from getting angry again turns mischievous and teases Mar, “If you really missed me, then how did you deal with it?” Mar’s ears are red and can’t answer.

Thinking he's so cute, she decides to go for the kill and asks Mar, “So I heard you approached me first when you wanted to see me. So when was that? ... What happened?”

A red-faced Mar doesn't want to answer and starts to walk away, Lydia chases after him repeating the question and asking for more details. “Why are you avoiding me?”

Mar turns away from Lydia again to the other side of the room as Lydia yells. “Stop right there!”

Lydia reaches out to grab Mar in a game of tag but he ducks quickly escaping her reach and she ends up tripping on the carpet and falls.

Mar quickly turns and catches Lydia as they tumble onto the floor with Lydia on top.

Lydia grins and tells Mar she’s caught him. Then she puts both her hands on his collar and tells him, "Your Majesty the Great Emperor, will you give up?"

A resigned Mar sighs and then apologizes to Lydia, explaining that he too knew that Astra could be turned into a chemical weapon and he’s just as guilty as them because his original intent when he approached her was to find the secret of how to create it himself for Heron.

She smiles at her victory.

As she looks down at Mar she realizes Yurishina’s, Mar’s, and the Alchemist’s motivations all revolve around this flower since the beginning. Lydia is now determined to get to the bottom of all and why it's the roots that impacted her life so dramatically.
