I've just watched like ~ 10 episodes of "The Story of Minglan" today, on my day off. lol. Was planning to study. oh well. lol. I think I like this more than the novel.
The recent movies I've watched are: The Girl From Nowhere- really creepy, but the good kind of creepy, and it's really goood Feel the Beat- honestly watched this at first because of Sofia Carson and but lo and behold it's cute and warm ♡ Jowable- this is a Filipino movie about a gurl who is desperate to have a boyfriend that she bargains with God, this is honestly too funny (and relatable to those singles out there like me)
i'm currently in episode 5 of "The Longest Day in Chang'an". Its poster that featured colorful period wadrobe caught my eyes, and it's pretty intriguing so far.
I just watched the series finale of Modern Family. This series hold a special place in my heart, I also have a big family and I relate to most of the things they do on the show. It really hit me hard when my favorite tv show finally ended.
Fabricted city...probably? Esit: Oh wait, no. My last movie is about a civil servant who got to know an old grandmother who turned to be a comfort woman during the Japane reign. He helped her to learn English because her best friend's hope was to speak to the world about what their experiences because the translators never did the job correctly (?) so she wanted to speak for herself but then she got sick. It's a warm movie though. And I also think that the topic about comfort woman is quite heavy, at least for me, because I became gloomy after I read a novel composes of the comfort woman in my countries.
Scott Pilgrim vs the World. Brie Larson is forgiven for all her transgressions. BRIE FOR PRESIDENT!!!
I just finished watching Enola Holmes and I'm quite surprised - I haven't really trusted NF movies before, but this one was really fun. Unfortunately, I've found the logic of the last action scene to be quite lacking... Then again, I haven't read the stories, so it might not be on NF. Still, something happened during that scene that was quite jarring and was either poor research or just laziness on the part of NF :/ If you watch it, lemme know if you know what I'm referring to And if so, did it bother you as well?
