I didn't consider it offensive but if a group of people find it offensive I'm fine with not saying it. People who raised such a fuss over wanting to use a word to such an extent that that they went and sent threats should really reconsider their priorities.
Threaten to kill himself, is the motherfucker from some old chinese drama? First you cry, throw tantrum and lastly suicide?
welp the rules does sound stupid but it doesn't deserve doxxing, should have stay passive aggressive approach
The choice was retarded, the majority Of traps are not even gay, most are straight with perversion of cross-dressing and the obsession of being beautiful.
Yup. This is what happens when the wrong people try to do the right thing just to score some ego points. Had they simply worded their statements a bit better, not insulted their own community, and apologized for their deaf ears, the community would have accepted the ban eventually.
If you think about what the word means at all, it’s pretty obvious it’s transphobic. Since I am not trans myself, it doesn’t hurt me, but I’ve heard that there are those in the trans community who find it offensive, and I can understand that. I never said it much before, but since finding out that there are people who do find it offensive, I’ve tried even harder not to use the word, even in my own thoughts. Of course, being part of any anime community, that can be hard.
To be honest I don’t consider the word Trap a slur or offensive because to me it’s meant for specifically guys who crossdress in animanga and only used in forums/online lingo. Anyone who uses it for transwomen is just an idiot who doesn’t even know their definitions properly However the fact that they doxxed and sent death threats to the mods over the banning of a word? Holy shit the absolute overreaction, it’s an internet slang word that doesn’t even get used super often, if this is the reaction they give honestly I would keep it banned out of spit.
it is supposedly offensive to the "transgender" community, as the "trap" indicates expecting a certain sexual organ when undress and getting the other kind. now in my opnion the transgender community shouldn't find this offensive, as if they have the done properly the transition from one gender to the other, everything should match, so it is not a trap. it is simply offensive to the crossdressing community that thinks that changing the way they dress and makeup is enough to be allowed in the other gender bathroom, the most sacred of places
It was a policy that had weak justification. Made on a whim by someone on top because they could, but the plebs below -- and still grounded in reality -- see it as a major leap in logic and not something with legitimate concerns.
I get the feeling that the West seems to have lost "perspective" somehow, that people can't seem to be able to separate minor matters that will self correct eventually with things that are really life and death. The way some people act, it's like if you don't do what they want, the country will explode. Which of course seldom happens since a lot of us are not so important that people live or die on our words.
Man go ahead kys then, all that is gonna prove is that the person is a shut in with poor communication, which is pretty evident in how they handled the situation Edit: p.s. Traps arent gay
Huh? "Trap"? As in "mouse trap"? How the hell is that offensive? Well, maybe for the Greenpeace guys...
The problem I can see here is , the mod power gone up to their head and the mod there forgot what a community is like. It is more like a socialist country turning into dictatorship and the people fed up and straight up rebel. The mod too blinded by their power , forgot that community make the sub, not the mod.
