Discussion Is it worth reading this manga?

    I noticed that a while back the "One Piece" Manga is like really good. The "One Piece" Manga is ranked #4 on MAL with a 9.08 rating. I'm a pretty big fan of One Piece, and I've been kind of getting into the idea of reading its manga.

    Regardless of MAL ratings, those of you who are currently caught up with the One Piece Manga. Is this manga worth investing around 163 hours into reading the series?

    I have advice, although I never read One Piece, I have read novels reaching almost 3000 chapters, and I must tell you this before going in.

    Take a break from the series every now and then, otherwise you'll burn yourself out and never finish it.

    I think... If you liked the series, its worth it? Just have a month or so aside to catch up. I preferred the manga to the anime myself, though early chapters are less crisp than later chapters

    A friend once told me, never watch the One Piece anime. It will take you over 100 hours to get through, while the manga will take you 1/3 of the time.

    the current one piece literally too long to be recommended

    I stopped reading at saboady and the timeskip, since at that point it changed tone and it was like a new story, next book in series but just same characters

    i enjoyed the first book a lot tho~ second one is just why so serious im not here to read about seriousness, i want a silly billy rubberman excuse me sir

    It’s a monster of a challenge. I also heard how awesome it was, but I just couldn’t do it. I quite like a fraction of the way.

    I started when it had around 500-600 or so chapters when I was like 10 or so. If I could start it then, then you can start it now. I've also reread the series when I saw that there were no more chapters for me to read through.

    HMMMMMMM~ Well, if you have nothing to do, why not? If you don't like how the story unfolds at some part, just drop it or maybe even skip a few chapters.

    I personally like One Piece though so I don't mind rereading it again and again even. I find it worth my time~

    YES it is worth it. I'd recommend taking a break from reading it once in a while tho since it IS pretty long. Or maybe watch the anime until a certain point before reading the manga.
