I heard there's quite the amount of Filippinos here so I figured I'd try asking. Is pandesal supposed to be thick inside or fluffy? My homemade pandesal are extremely thick and Im feeling I might be doing something wrong. Like it's def. thicker than a french baguette and usually just eating it alone would be enough to satiate me. Is that normal or is it supposed to be like milk bread where its fluffy? Does pandesal have bread crumbs on it? If it does is it a nuisance? Like does it fall around when you pick it up? Lastly, do you know any tips or recipes that are good?
It's a bit of fluffy but not that fluffy. And some stuff falls off it but not that much normally. And if it's too thick much thicker than a baguette, that's not a pandesal anymore.
Pandesal weren't supposed to be thick, it's actually soft and airy. And I wouldn't advised you to leave it overnight, because it would get hard to eat (like it's annoying to bite them) Sadly, I don't really knew any recipes
There are those bakeries who does it thick but when they do, it's closer to another bread we call "monay." Pandesals are usually just soooft and fluuuffy~ and easy to bite. And yes, those bread crumbs are annoying and they fall off =___= In our family we rub those crumbs off before we take out the pandesal out of the plastic.
@Sami11 as you can see, it really just depends on the person/bakery. But yeah, I guess the perfect pandesal are those crispy on the outside, but fluffy on the inside. I see, fufufufu

It’s good but it doesn’t taste good for me since it feels like I don’t even taste anything... Don’t know what’s wrong with my taste buds...
