you just described a LOT of chinese novels with that description. those things are all common in most novels of that genre, you know? or chinese novels in general have such things. Kind of hard not to, though, when you get like a thousand plus chapters in and you start running out of ideas... Personally i can handle repetitiveness, its just the contradictory MC and rapist MCs that i hate. everything else, to me, is withstandable.

MGA started off with a good story and setting, decent world-building, and good fight scenes. but after he leaves the starting continent you can tell that the author's ambition just kinda died, he just kept repeating the same story over and over, yeah some of the settings changed but the plot just cycles like the turntable on a cheap microwave. 1. fighting badassness 2. somebody stole my woman 2.5 rape some insignificant side character. 3. fight the lackys 4. get woman back / nail woman 6. repeat

It's really a pity =/ not to be rude to a translator that i don't even know yet but i really hope he will be somewhat similar to FBT in terms of speed, the guy was truly a monster.
He did say he might be dropping it quite a while ago... just that if he were to drop it he would do it after the end of the third volume.
Honestly, dropped this ages ago because of all the aforementioned failures in it's writing and the (to me) intolerable MC. That said, it is too bad to see FBT leaving the translation scene; he's one of the few who's stuck with a project so long that him being like DB or RWX and making it his career is viable. There are some translators on gravity who have the professionalism to do the same, but their efforts have (very successfully) gone to building the "Gravity Tales" brand instead of their own personal brand. I know a few of you are doing a kneejerk at the "brand" concept, but if you want to turn your work into a career your brand is the biggest deciding factor.

Well since its a very popular series i hope someone picks it up soon, doubt the translation speed will be nearly as fast... if i was as rich as trump id gladly give this guy 10mil so he can quit school and continue translating xD
i am one of those who loves MGA. Its great to see someone who can understand me finally (they say Chu Feng is a serial rapist but their is only like 5 rapes in 1000 chap and they all have circumstances -_-, apart from that i just love his personnality)

So many people say it started decently but let's not lie it was always bad, don't get me wrong I love MGA it was my first CN. I always look at series like MGA, ATG and PMG as junk food you know it's bad for you but it's sooo good.
