Some companies like Namesilo offers free WHOIS Privacy protection when you register a new website while other companies can charge you as much as $10 per year Just like almost everything else on the internet, with a little investigating and a simple WHOIS search you can find a scary amount of information about a domain owner including full name and contact information. The only reason to use your real contact information is so someone can’t simply sue your website and win by default. If you don’t care, don’t use your real info.
don't trust google they don't really honor privacy and skirt the laws more than one should be comfortable with. also they like to censor and cancel others when it's convenient.
It doesn't matter. They can easily get your server's IP through DNS records and send a lawyer's letter to the host. They can also send one to the name registrar. Either of those will more often than not take you down, usually without notice until it happens. Unless you have your own lawyer on retainer, you're screwed when someone who does decides to mess with you for whatever perceived slight. Companies don't want the legal expenses and will give in easily to a request. Most of the time they're legitimate, so they don't verify them as it's incredibly routine.
Maybe you can try Porkbun they offer cheaper .com than any other registrar for first year (have a limit tho) and free whois privacy, you can transfer it to another or stay afterward.
