hi!!!!! Can someone pls tell me which chapter will riftan find out about her past???? Im currently reading the novel and im still on chap 78 the amount of misunderstandings is stressing me so much THANKS!!?
I'm sorry - it would be great if there was an option to pin the spoilers thank you so much for taking the time to respond to people (myself included) and translate!
nooo, please, i understand you, that's frustrating, apparently many people have come here after reading the manhwa, but, people, seriously, the spoilers are there, read them, they are all very interesting, maybe giving them a check out, you will find what you are looking for.
i have only read it in the english version, which is now on ch 97. Her past atill has not been revealed as of yet
Hi everyone. I'm new here... Could someone pls share with me where I can read the English version of Under the Oak Tree novel? Pls help and thank you!
That's the second time, in one page. I wonder where these people come from that they arrived on NU's forum without checking NU first before asking.
The world building in this novel is very well done, but I still have some questions in mind. What exactly is The World Tower? How much influence do they have? Because I got an impression that it seems more than just a Magic School. And according to spoilers, if I'm not wrong, Max decided to become a wizard to shake off Riftan's trial right? That means wizards are very valuable? I would appreciate some insights. Thanks.
From what I've read so far, essentially the World Tower is considered politically neutral but they will fiercely protect their wizards. They have a lot of power as all high ranking wizards (except Ruth who is considered a traitor/villain for leaving) only stay at the tower. If it was deemed that the Duke had harmed one of their own then no wizard would be work on his land or help any of his people. Wizards are considered VERY valuable. Agnes pulled a lot of strings to pull this whole scheme off as Max wasn't actually registered with the Tower at that time so normally they would not consider intervening.
The wizards that can't leave are wizards that know taboo magic (magic that shold not get out to the public) Ruth knows a taboo magic yet left and that is why he's a traitor
Here's a fun Ruth and Max moment. In part two, the wizard team that Max is part of is actually led by Ruth's uncle. After they meet up with Remdragon knights Ruth tries to hide from the wizards. When his uncle finally catches him the first thing Ruth says is that his uncle has been going bald. His uncle leaps for him and starts screaming at him in Elvish and trying to pull at Ruth's hair while Ruth shoves Max in front of himself and hides behind her for protection. What a good friend. :')
AHH. This novel is amazing, can't wait for the translations to catch up to the official. Does anyone know if the story is still on hiatus?
Ugh so many feels. Thanks for all the spoilers. This answered so many of my questions. I had been wondering when he would find out about her past abuse. I never imagined he would learn about it first hand. Reading this right after seeing her being struck with a cane by her dad in the manhwa makes it so much more heart wrenching. She’s such a tiny little thing compared to basically everyone. Poor thing. I had also wondered how he would deal with learning she had been abused. Even if it led to their separation, I’m glad he beat the daylight out of the duke. It was also nice learning that tree will come back to life. And their back story. Now I’m just curious about what Max writes about in the diary. And for everyone asking questions without first reading the whole thread....you are cheating yourself. Go back and read. Sooo many good spoilers.
