Watched the trailer with low expectations, was surprised that it seemed interesting. (Not knocking on the book, but because I’ve seen the other movie...)
i don't know about this new fangled movie. i remember the original with Patrick Stewart and Sting in supporting roles. "Father, the sleeper has awoken!" good movie.
Not digging Timothée Chalamet's look as Paul Atreides. He looks way too scrawny to me for playing someone whose trained for years in melee combat. Also didn't like the brief look of shielded combat they had. Otherwise the rest of the visuals look excellent. Not sure if we need another re-imaging of Dune, but whatever. Will probably go see it depending on the next set of trailers.
Agreed he seems a little... dainty. I was a little concerned last year when i heard about it because an article i was reading seemed to have all the sjw keywords in it. Hopefully im wrong
Huh, the 2000 miniseries was released in my country as a movie, I'm pretty sure. I've been wondering why people were making such a big deal about a remake... Well, I guess I'll see it for the better costumes and CGI. Requesting/sharing pirated material is against NU's rules. And honestly, it's not that hard to find... If you don't know how, it's not meant for you. Can't you just go to the library and borrow a physical copy? Since you want an ebook, can't you register for amazon prime trial (or something similar) to get free access to the digital copy?
So much wrong with the trailer, the needle shown should be a thimble, and the "paul" should not have screamed out while his hand was in the box. The stillsuits were too armored up oh so much wrong... also rarely was he called by his atredies name, most of those scenes should have been his Fremen name... other than that looks okay
