i'm sure many people on here can relate to that. personally i just find new things to get addicted to. right now i change between youtube, spotify, twitch, novels, video games, netflix(or hbo), and porn. used to watch anime but just can't get back into it anymore. edit - and reddit recommendation - You should check out healthy gamer on twitch or youtube!
usually when I get like that I do something physical outside, going for a walk or a run, if your physically able. I have allergies, too, but just sit in the sun for a bit or better yet, digging in the dirt (gardening some hard to kill plants is best for those with black thumbs like me). a complete change from the usual in front of the computer screen, even if its only a half hour sitting on the porch interacting with the world outside, gives you time to settle your mind and reset. plus you get that important vitamin D and all that.
Try to get a time-consuming hobby. Like completing puzzles, knitting, carving wood, painting, or even writing. These sorts of hobbies are time-consuming, maybe a bit tiresome too, but they also fill you with a sense of accomplishment as you continue fooling around. You improve after all. Honestly? Do something like going for a really really really long walk or directly doing some exercise. The days you do heavy exercise you sleep like a baby, and it works like a charm for me. As my mind clears up a bit. Just look up stories about construction workers having the best sleep of their lives as they worked hellish physical hours.
I ate lunch outside today, don't know if that counts. It's been feeling more like autumn where I live and I don't mind going outside, it's just hard for me to convince myself to go back inside and then I end up sneezing everywhere with a runny nose ( •́ω•̩̥̀ )
I feel the same right now, I'm listening some local music but can't even start reading again. I have a lot Pondering what should I do with my life. Planning some business but still visiting the novelupdates everyday but won't read anything. (Sigh)
I can wholly relate here. Expecially in this Covid times, I sometimes feel pretty depressed. My suggestion is to stick with doing things that you like the most and if the current ones don't satisfy you enough, to look after new hobbies and why not passions in general.
Mm~ since you like drawing, maybe you could experiment with other mediums or tools? Like instead of sketching with a pencil, you could try charcoal or if you colour, use brush pens or watercolor or alcohol markers instead? If you like doing things with your hands, perhaps hairstyling (like learning different types of braids), baking (snacks or pastries), I would've suggested embroidering knitting or crochet too.
yeah, me too. I take a once every 24hr allergy med but it doesn't always work and then I end up taking benadryl which basically makes me brain dead for at least two or three hours. still, I won't give up hanging outside for a bit every day. i'd go crazy otherwise.
I've been meaning to try out charcoal, maybe I can try that out over the weekend. And baking sounds delicious right now
what you usually doing tho? change your routine once a while is good to clear up your mind~ physical work routine, try some involve your mind like play chess or singing or learning hmm history, science, cat trivia ect mind work routine, try some physical exercise like climb a tree, chasing cat, house chore or dig hole or you can join question answer forum such as quora then answer or post question~ this cat like play video games when bored just simple play game on hardest difficulty~ if ya single try search double? friend with benefit? people who you can tease? pet to squish~
I don't know if a change of routine is what I'm looking for so much as a change of my activities in the routine. I can't function without knowing when things are happening and having something familiar but I kind of want to change out a few sections. Your recommendations look good, cat trivia sounds great!
