I've read a ton of webnovels and it irks me how many leans toward harem. Harem is not bad but the manner how MC gets his harem is utter bull. Girls running towards MC because he is this and that are nothing but worthless sluts. If I ever wish to read a novel with harem in it I would prefer one where the MC really courts and gets to know the girls and explore the dynamics of a polygamy. After all, girls have more possessive tendencies when it comes to their man. I just cannot stand the bullshit where the girls just get along together or just few sweet talking or pa pa pa from MC solves the problem. I want the drama to be presented in a realistic manner so that the readers and I could invest more on the dynamics of a harem. Well, so far I haven't seen a good harem novel so I'm looking for novels with no romance or harem for that matter. It would be preferrable if the MC has male friends who are actual supporting characters rather than background characters that fade away after a new hoe takes centre stage. Also, it would be preferrable to have an antagonist with consistent antagonistic role rather than dropping tons of sissies that cry for their mommies after being beaten.
I see no romance recommendation threads a lot. It seems there are quite many single dogs like me ₍₍ ᕕ⍢ᕗ⁾⁾

Trash of the Count's Family. No romance, no girls chasing after MC's attention, obviously no harem. Plenty male friends, each character has their own importance and role to the story, and they're pretty much not as simple as it seems at a glance. Try it if you haven't

I've read Lord of Mysteries and I love it. I'm waiting for Book 2 and probably a Book 3 as I want to know what would happen to Klein. Same with Carefree Path of Dreams but I'm quite utterly disappointed with it. The MC is just pure evil as it nears the end. Like, he wishes to return to his homeworld for what when he utterly gives up his humanity and play god? Disgusting. As for the rest, I'll try and look them up. BTW thanks for the recommendations.
