    Uhh if the contest is about news reading then if I understand correctly then you need to find some positive news amidst all these bad news in 2020?

    A "silver lining" is something hopeful and positive found amidst a difficult or unpleasant situation. Like, say, air pollution going down during Covid 19. Also, people being more aware/ careful with personal hygiene.

    I had time to binge watch anime and TV shows,indie games.such as fall guys,among us and phantasmagoria got big,I managed to.get some of my shit together and realized majority accounting and information systems is one of the greatest mistakes of my life and.am gonna.beg for a department change.

    My silver lining this year is that I got two wonderful kittens! In fact, pet adoptions went up all around the world this year. That is a 2020 silver lining you could use, although you would need to find proper news articles about it.

    Basically look for the good things that came out of the bad.

    They might not notice but the ratio of them getting every other transmissible disease actually went down as well for compliance to health guidelines. Except stds and pregnancies perhaps. Cause they have more time at home.

    Its like as you've said a positive situation in the midst of the COVID pandemic kinda idea. I think it would be a great theme if you took it in either a personal connection or societal issues that revolves around COVID pandemic but not only stressing on its cons but looking for the pros. One example might be an idea bout the "courage and inspiration of the front liners amidst Covid 19 pandemic" or " A call for help: fellow citizens helping another during covid19."

    meh, the titles seems like a thesis thingy hahahah but yeah that kind of thought. good luck on the contest!

    The forced use of zoom and other online meeting programs for working at home will mean the rise of it's usage and easier acceptance of the tech even after covid. I plan on petitioning to stay working at home even after it's over.

    The pandemic hopefully also results in people taking factory farming more seriously as a risk.

    There's quite a lot of productivity loss to work at home scheme especially with regard to works that are done in a team and field/live tests.
