Until the latest translated chapters, it's more like, all the princes and princesses that are chosen to be in the race to throne, don't like each other. Since there is only one emperor/empress and there is history of siblings chosen kill each other (the current emperor aka the dad killed all his siblings)

 

But there's still something I don't understand, do they all have the same mother or different mothers?

 

I heard news that this novel is going to be made into a webtoon and drawn by the same illustrator, (not sure about that one)
