Over the years, I have first watched anime then moved to manga and finally ended up at novel updates reading books for the past few years. I feel like I'm reaching the end of the line and read most of the solid works here at NU. What else do you guys recommend for me to do or what do you do in your free-time when not reading novels?
I started with manga and currently tired of most chinese/korean novels i'm reading mostly some more interesting things on rrl. But these days it's mostly learning/netflix and sleeping. If u want something long then Wandering inn will keep you there if its in your interests.
Tried watching YouTube, only to realize I still like reading more, so... switched to reading YouTube comments.
you go back to reading more manga and watch more anime never become one of those weirdos who watch VTubers its honestly more socially acceptable for you to watch hentai
Why don't you do some exercise, i mean the kind that can be done at your house without equipment. Staying on our homes without moving around so much will have some health issues later(specifically if you aren't that fit at all). I have been doing some workout(some 5 min routine, short but intense, i found on youtube since i have uni-classes virtually) since i'm not.....in....that...good....physical condition....(-_-')(-_-')(-_-')
I don't know. I never really moved past any of those parts. I read a lot but I also watch anime and a bit of manga. I would say just don't stress about it. Just do whatever you feel like you want to do. What is nice about many of these fields is that they are always making new things. I am watching anime this season that I have enjoyed greatly and I still find a new show every now and then that I find amazing (most recent being Vinland Saga). So go with the flow.
Have you considered picking up a new skill or hobby? Learn a language, exercise, bake, cook, pottery, drawing or writing. With the internet there are plenty of things to do. On a side note you can start watching TV. The number of new series out is amazing. You could also start playing video games.
I think theres a lot of new ones coming out, also the fact that its superrr fun to look at the different genres, subgenres, and tropes that appear. Also looking back at the ones that I didnt want to read before and taking the courage to try them out later... really pays off sometimes. There are a few hidden gems!!!
I went in the website; it looks promising. Ill stay on it Thanks for the rec hehe, im in college and im braindead in my free time. I'm just trying to find something that I don't have to think much about to enjoy.
I recommend finding a hobby were you have to use your hands. I find it quite fulfilling. I draw, paint and try to learn how to wood carve. You can also try some diy tutorials, knitting, embroidery, calligraphy, start a journal, maybe pick up an instrument. The key is to try things out and maybe something will stick. Or you can try reading something different. Try some interesting books, fanfiction.net or ao3
Reading stuff from well regarded people from history (basically the stuff you had book reports on) and realise they are quite good if you aren't forced to read them when you don't want to or don't understand it.
I haven't delved into fanfiction at all. I feel like there is a stereotype that they aren't as good as the novels on NU, but I'll read some works in ao3 and see for myself Yea, I was initially very hesitant to start reading books on NU due my previous bad experiences in school, but I liked the books immediately. I took the cars section for the MCAT and reading NU novels nonstop helped me tremendously in preparing lul
