This is the Crafting House! A thread for you to craft all your needies!

In here Apothecaries can craft Consumables, Enchanters can Enchant gear, Blacksmiths and Crafters can craft Equipment, and anyone can craft Scrolls and Balms!

Sounds good? Then please read on to the rulings~

    • How do I craft: To craft an item, you need to have the appropriate Job for it, and the necessary materials for it as well.
When you try crafting, you'll spend the materials regardless of it failing or succeeding.
Here is the detailed breakdown of how it works:
      • Roll a 10-sided die (type: !roll 0, 9, X, with X being the number of items you're trying to craft (!roll 0, 9, 1 for one item; !roll 0, 9, 2 for two items and so on forth)).
      • The Tier of the item created will be equal to the result of the die (For example, if you try creating three Bandages and roll 3, 5 and 2 in your dice, you'll create a Tier 3 Bandage, a Tier 5 Bandage, and a Tier 2 Bandage).
      • You cannot create items with Tiers above your current Crafting Level for the Rank of the Item you're creating (In the above example, your Rank 0 Crafting Level to create the Tier 3 Bandage needs to be at least 3. Level 5 for the Tier 5 Bandage, and Level 2 for the Tier 2 Bandage).
      • If the result of the die is above your Crafting Level, then the crafting fails and you lose the materials used in the crafting attempt.
    • What's my starting Crafting Level: Everyone starts with a level 0 Crafting Level for any given Rank.
This means that at first, you can only create Tier 0 items.
    • How do I level up my Crafting Level: Whenever you successfully create an item, if that item was of the highest Tier available for you, you gain 1 Crafting Exp for that Rank.
When your Crafting Exp for a Rank reaches 10, you gain one Crafting Level, then your exp goes back to 0.
    • Pity Timer: If you try crafting 10x of the same item at once, and none of them creates any item, the GM shall deem that the last dice roll was a 0 instead of whatever number you rolled.
This only applies if you try exactly 10x of the same item at once. No more, no less.
    • Exemplification: I'm not sure if the wording so far has been very clear, so I'll try to make things clear with an example...
      • Let's assume you're a brand new Apothecary, so right now your crafting level for each rank is 0, your crafting exp for each rank is also 0.
      • You went into some dungeons and collected some Ant Antennaes and Slime Jellys.
      • Then, you attempted to craft 5 Bandages. You rolled the dice and got 1, 5, 0, 8, 9.
The results of 1, 5, 8, 9 are all above your Rank 0 Crafting Skill Level, so they fail.
The result of 0 is equal to your Rank 0 Crafting Skill Level, so you craft a Bandage (Tier 0), and you gain 1 Rank 0 Crafting Exp.
      • So right now your Rank 0 Crafting Skill Level would look like this: Apothecary Rank 0 - Level 0 (1/10).
      • Once you craft 9 more Rank 0 items, you would go to Apothecary Rank 0 - Level 1 (0/10), which would allow you to create Rank 0 - Tier 1 items by rolling a 1 in the crafting roll. You'll also still be able to craft Rank 0 - Tier 0 items by rolling 0 in the crafting roll.
      • Once you are at Level 1 however, you no longer gain crafting exp from rolling a 0. Instead, you'll gain the crafting exp from rolling 1s in the Crafting Roll.
      • ... That's basically how it works. If it wasn't clear enough, ask a GM for help and we will try helping you to the best of our capabilities. Though it will probably become intuitive after you try crafting a few times.
    • What about the item Ranks: Item Ranks serve two purposes:
      • Helping you know what monsters you need to kill to craft an item: This is fairly straightforward.
A Rank 0 monster drops materials for Rank 0 items.
A Rank 1 monster drops materials for Rank 1 items.
        And so on.
      • Limiting what Equipment you can craft: The Crafter and the Blacksmith can only craft items up until their current rank.
The Apothecary and the Enchanter can craft items of any rank however. Though it is usually recommend to not try fighting higher rank monsters too much.
Items of a higher rank usually have better stats, so try going after them once you rank up.
    • What are Item Tiers: Item Tiers show how strong an item is.
Basically, after you craft enough (10) items of a given rank, you'll become able to craft higher tier items of said rank.
The higher tier items give better stat bonuses than the lower ones.
    • What can I craft: The items each job can craft will be listed in the second post of this thread.
Though bear in mind only Tier 0 items will be listed, if you want to see the stats of higher tier items, consult the Spreadsheet.
    • Crafting Items with other crafted items as materials: Some items (Like the Stamina Potion) require other items that you might have crafted before.
For the sake of crafting those items, the Tier of the material doesn't matter. You do not need a Tier 1 Numbing Powder to craft a Tier 1 Stamina Potion. You can use a Tier 0 Numbing Powder for that just fine.
    • How does this work: 90% of it is the same as Crafting, so I won't explain the entire system again, I'll only outline the differences.
    • Okay, what are the differences: Enchanting is a two-step process that exists to enhance an existing item, as opposed to creating a new one.
      • Creating an Enchantment Rune: The first step to create an enchantment is to create an Enchantment Rune. To do that, use the listed materials and make a crafting roll... Basically the exact same as normal crafting, really. Everything works the exact same.
      • Applying an Enchantment Rune to an Item: Each rune has a specific type of item it can be applied to (Weapon, Helm, Gloves, Boots, Plate, Shield).
To apply the rune, all you need to do is say that you're applying it. You don't need to make any roll or whatever. Applying the rune always works.
Once a Rune is applied, the Item will be enchanted and the Rune will be lost.
    • How many enchantments can an Item have: One. The exception to that are two-handed weapons, that can have two enchantments.
For the sake of this ruling, Bows are deemed as One-handed weapons, as you can enchant the Arrows.
    • What enchantments affect which item: The enchantment's name tells you that, but as the names aren't generic enough, they may create some confusion.
So, to clarify, a Helm enchantment can enchant any Head Piece. The same holds true for Gloves and Hands pieces, as well as to Plates and Armor Pieces.
    • Elemental Enchantments: Some enchantments affect the element of your attack or of your resistances.
You can put those as you will, but there are certain things that may limit what you can do if you put multiple of them together.
Also, regardless of what you do, please make sure to clearly put in your character sheet which elements you are hitting with and which elements you are weak/resistant to. Don't make more work for the DM to try figuring it out for you.
      • Weapons:
        • Elements and Two-handed Weapons: A weapon can never hit with two elements at the same time. Which limits what enchantments you can put on two-handed weapons.
For example, if you have a Fire Bow, you cannot have Cold Arrows, as this would make your attack have Fire/Cold elements, and the game only allows you to have one element on your attack.
You can however, have a Fire Bow and Fire Arrows, or a Fire Bow and Arrows with any non-elemental enchantments... Or a Fire Bow with normal Arrows if you prefer.
        • Elements and skills: Elemental enchantments only change the element of physical attacks/skills that do not have a built-in element to them.
Physical Skills with a built-in element and Magical Skills are not affected by the element-changing part of Elemental Enchantments.
      • Everything Else: The other items have a bit more freedom on how to handle their enchantments, you just need to understand how the interaction between multiple enchantments work.
        • Conflicting Elements: If you have two conflicting enchantments in non-weapon items, they nullify each other.
For example, if you have an armor that makes you resistant to Thunder attacks, and a Helm that makes you weak to Thunder attacks, then you will take normal damage from Thunder.
This still holds true regardless of the number of enchantments that add to the conflict.
For example, if you have boots, helm and armor making you weak to Thunder, and gloves making you resistant to thunder, you'll still take neutral damage from Thunder.
        • Stacking Elements: Stacking Elemental Resistances/Weaknesses... Doesn't work.
Like, if all of your armor/helm/gloves/boots pieces make you resistant to Thunder, you'll still take only *0.8 Thunder damage. You won't become Super Resistant or anything like that.
    • What are the Scrolls: The Scrolls are essentially Free Skills.
If you have a scroll with you, you can use a skill without spending MP, though you'll consume the Scroll itself.
    • How do they work: The Procedure is the following:
      • To get a scroll you need to first buy it on the shop.
      • Then, you need to make a crafting roll (type "!roll 0, 9, X", with X being the number of scrolls you're trying to craft) while spending the appropriate materials
      • A Refined scroll will be crafted when you roll a 0 and never at any other value (regardless of failing or succeeding at the roll, you'll lose all materials).
      • You don't earn crafting exp from crafting scrolls.
      • Anyone can craft any scroll, the Job doesn't matter.
    • What happens when you succeed on the roll: You'll get a Refined scroll of the appropriate Tier, it allows you to put a skill of its tier within the Scroll.
For example, if you craft a Refined Tier 0 Scroll, you can put any of the 8 Tier 0 skills within it, no matter what your Skill Tree is.
    • How do I list a scroll in my inventory: List it as "[Skill Name] Scroll".
For example, a scroll with the Fireball skill in it would be a "Fireball Scroll".
    • What will be the level of the skill within the Scroll: It will always be 0.
    • Whose stats will the scroll use when casting: The stats of the caster.
The scroll doesn't care for the stats of the person that created it.
    • Can I craft any scroll: As long as you have the materials? Yes, you can. Your rank does not interfere with what rank of scroll you can craft.
    • Can I put a skill within a Refined Scroll while I'm in the middle of a Dungeon Run: You cannot. Please do it once you're not participating in a run.
    • What are Balms: Balms are items that restore lost stat points. Their main usage is to get rid of debuffs that Traps applied.
They cannot be used in battle.
    • How does crafting them work: Anyone can craft them, they're always crafted when you roll (type "!roll 0, 9, X", with X being the number of balms you're trying to craft) a 0 and never at any other roll (regardless of failing or succeeding at the roll, you'll lose all materials).
You do not gain any crafting exp from crafting balms.

Hopefully this was clear enough, but feel free to ask if anything confused you! In any case, here comes the list of stuff you can craft...

Bear in mind however, that all crafted items (save from the Scrolls and Balms) have Tiers, with each tier increasing their stats/buffs slightly. I will not list the Tiers here as that would take forever, so please check the Equipment spreadsheet for that.

Oh wow, I forgot Zone did not confirm this one.

Uhn... You tried to craft a Numbing Powder and then a Fireball Scroll, right?

The Numbing Powder failure is confirmed, but the Fireball Scroll requires a Tiny Magic Core, and you had none of those. So your Scroll is still safe and sound because you couldn't attempt to craft it in the first place.

Please write what you're crafting before making the roll next time... It's a bit hard for me to guess it otherwise.

I lay my 10 Rat Skins and 10 Slime Jelly (Jellies? Jellys?) in front of me. Today is the big day, my first real craft out of monster parts. I shall be creating a Rat Hood for myself, the ye olde traditional first craft for any aspiring crafter mage for it is said to increase one's Wisdom. Considering I have enough to create 10 Rat Hoods, I am guaranteed atleast 1 success by the blessing of goddess @AliceShiki herself. Now may the devil botself @justabot be in a good mood and grant me good rolls.
