Just really can't read another japanese character happy going from high nobility to a target of humiliation
IIRC, There is a side story from the ML's PoV that is not pay-walled. EDIt : https://www.alphapolis.co.jp/novel/113442533/997274802
Spoiler: Story from the ML's POV https://www.alphapolis.co.jp/novel/113442533/997274802 The above has the story from the ML's POV Read it with chrome it translates ok Spoiler: Ending Happy ending all around. She marries the knight the duke takes her back into the family and God even lets her communicate with her sister. A bit unreadable for me as it negates the concept of sacrifice and has that damn trope of being a commoner in feudal society as being similar to having a civil service job This one really does push some buttons. At one point early in the manga, she's just been FLOGGED the crown princess offers to get her back her position anf she's all, "Oh noes it's the joyous life of a commoner for me, the foods better too" I just can't process the reasoning going on here
They get engaged presumably married. The girl was never really bullied, offers to get MC her duchess title back. MC is all "nope I'm happy being flogged" p.s. if it's not obvious that last bit killed the series for me @Nuzlocke No she winds up being the heroine's personal maid and minder so she's a pawn with no power, about as far down the heap you can go and in a state of perpetual humiliation. About the only way this gets worse for her is by going hentai. P.S. This novel is really up there in the horrible category of braindead MCs and absolutely insane character motivations. Today I realized I had actually forgotten to unfollow this series. If I ever need the kind of anger this series induces, I can always look in and see what congress or the courts are doing
Thanks for this! I was super interested and I'm still mildly intrigued, but not enough to where I'd be storming the gates to read it. I think as far as the food goes, it's because the commoner food is reminiscent of Japanese food.
I was interested as first but wow the story seems to be all over the place, this might be more of light hearted read more than anything, I just finished reading chapter 3 of the manhua and I was confused as well. The Princes Mother, the queen knew that the Mc was faking being the villainess all along but never did anything about it...she also knows about the Mc’s “ability” and says Something along the lines of “I won’t let a talented person like you slip away, you are going to utilize that ability for the sake of the Royal Family as compension.”(compensation for the uproar she caused while playing the part of a villainess) She then makes her the personal maid of the crown princes new fiancé. So far from what I’ve seen the crown princes new fiancé has absolutely nothing going for her besides the fact the crown prince likes her, so to me this makes no sense why the queen would let the engagement be annulled when she knew everything already. If the Mc’s ability was so advantageous/precious would it have made more sense for her to become the actual Queen where she actually use her ability rather than a maid? The last thing is the fact that the engagement was annulled and she was banished from her household because of some petty verbal abuse when the crown prince literally does the same exact thing I don’t know if I’m just reading too much into it but that’s my thoughts so far, I might not even end up reading this to be honest
Well that depends in how much the queen knew she was faking all the things and besides the queen just need her ability and the mc already said that she doesn't want to goes back to her previous life(if the queen got her information trought the talk with the new crown prince fiance maybe she was trying to respect her wishs too). And i belive that if she stayed engaged with the prince after all verbal abuse to the girl she would have to go through drastic mesures, afterall she needed to make the prince and the girl engaged with each other(and probably recive a punishment as well) to complete her deal with god.
