I have a lot of moments when I have nothing to do for a minute or few while working from home. What can I do in such short time if I don't have a fanfic update to read. I was swiping on tinder and bumble but those apps suck and it's boring, reddit meh. It'd be nice if I could study a bit to get out of my drone job sooner but that's too brief and full of interuptions.
sounds like you have too much time on your hands. you need a hobby that you can do outside. at time like this with covid being a hoe you can still go outside to a park maybe take some art supplies and draw or write. I also did this in my early 20s we bought fencing gear and went to the park with a friends or 2 and we would practice fencing for fun because it beats going to the gym all the time. we did it with wooden practice swords too. this was before youtube was a thing or we probably would have ended up being seen by thousands. at first we just wanted to fight each other, but as did it more often we both secretly were trying to out do the other so we secretly practiced sword techniques and exercises till it no longer looked like sparring and more like a real sword fight. till someone called the cops on us and the cop was totally cool about it and even watched and we even showed him how to properly hold and swing a sword and parry, but someone called cop on us several times and we moved the location to more secluded part of the park.
Which part of filling the gaps while working from home you didn't understand? I have to sit at my work pc, can't go out fencing and painting.
The last time this happened to me I went to the wizarding world and learned a lot about the Harry Potter characters I didn't pay attention to and there is a quiz too. Another thing you can do is try speaking like Hermine.
I have been rewatching Harry Potter movies this week.....and it's fun to explore other fandoms And do you believe you will be like that after doing the things I typed??? Plus did you just generalize people??? Oh no sweety it's a bad habit it might bring trouble...
I didn't say you were such, it's just HP fans I know, they know nothing else and are a bit annoying about it.
Use Duolingo. It's pretty quick. Or do some stretches/exercise. I usually spend my breaks between work exercising, making/drinking tea or typing on this forum.
The type of jobs that has to be sit out and can't be compressed ? Hmm from my experience you can try working on handicrafts (suturing, stitching, and other that trains finger dexterity) or small workouts (using grip and dumbbell) in between. These days i grab a books. Hardcopy books. Or I'm snacking.
