The game was about a robot soldier (or human in power armor?), the defining feature were the power ups, in the bottom of the screen there were several upgrades available, jump, gun, grenades, mines, rockets and so on in several tags lined up, when the player got a power item the tag would illuminate and the player could either activate the power up or let more power items accumulate for the tags to illuminate and then cash in a more powerful upgrade Lets say the player wanted to upgrade jump three times, he would get one power item and cash in jump, and repeat this other two times, meaning three power items were required (jump) (gun) (grenades) (mines) (rockets) But to upgrade the rockets three times the player would need to get five power items, then cash in the rockets and repeat, meaning fifteen power items were required (jump) (gun) (grenades) (mines) (rockets) The player was relatively small compared to the scenario so the places felt big, i played it in arcade but it may as well be a console game adapted to arcade, but i cannot remember the name
I have no idea, i'm just going to say Contra because that's what came to mind with arcade era shooters of my childhood.
i played it around 2005-7, but it was an arcade with lots of old games, im guessing late 90s-early 2000s
At an arcade right? I feel like I've seen something similar when I was 12 or so... (yes almost 20 years ago)
