Anyone know how long this novel is? NU lists that Ch 220 was just released but it also says novel complete at Ch 213

The fact that Messiah Guild gave Johan the hades ring pretty much confirms that said ring will not work on high skill level skeletons or another explanation, since if this were not the case, and anyone can control the undead of another with the ring, Johan would not have been such a big threath to the Messiah Guild in the first timeline. If the ring works against Woo-jin, he can use his poison and vampire skills to kill Johan and the "invisible" assassin with the Hades helmet, since they do not know that he can use such a powerful poison and has "heat" seeking vision.

 

Do note how the halo gave him rewards that were all consistent with -not- using undead. Vampire level up, blood golem level up, skill level up stone, which will probably go to something 'woo-jin' persona related.

The halo would probably be bored if such a thrilling fight were decided by a single ring.
Also, the dungeon reward 'release seal' , either he'll get an op sealed item or he can unseal the skill lock.

(was the lich skill level limit 180? i can see him turning Johan Georgg into his personal Lich. And later on Death Knight 'hero' dude lol)

 

NU lists number of chapters as 213. Woopread is at 224. Is the novel complete?!

 

Pretty sure comments on the chapters mentioned he'd face the 'hero' in like 5 dungeons. So i'm guessing another 20-30 chapters? and then you get the standard Korean wrap it all up in 3 chapters beating the 'game' and saving earth.

 

I was confused as hell about this too, then just shrugged and figured the difference came from splitting chapters but numbering them individually.

Yes, this is all caused due to the raws that we use do not have any clear marking of where a chapter starts and ends. But it is expected to finish soon (In around 30 more chapters).

 

I just discovered that the author of this novel also wrote Emperor of Solo Play. What blows my mind blow is that Emperor of Solo Play is listed as coming out in 2015, while Kill the Hero is 2018. Are these years wrong? To me, Kill the Hero reads like a really poor first attempt at writing whereas I thought Emperor of Solo Play was very polished (except for the crap ending). What gives?

 

I feel like the author can write better but is rushing the story just like the ending of Emperor of Solo Play.

 

I understand why he needs one more dungeon now, he'll eat everyone up and solidify his dictatorship.

 

Alas, this is endemic to KR authors.

 

If all the players lose their powers after the 'game is ended' then he'd probably get killed pretty quickly afterwards by some disgruntled player mad at losing their privilege and gravy train.

 

For me, the story is like pumping up a balloon until it burst. Too much plot items from the start that the ending is lackluster

 

The years aren't wrong, "Kill The Hero" was definitely written after "Emperor of Solo Play"



Also, this is unironically is more popular work, for some reason....


My theory is that DDart realized that he was popular enough that could have written anything and still make a bunch of money off of it, so he just wrote "Kill The Hero" for fun. But when "Emperor of Solo Play" was being written he wasn't as popular enough to make money easily so he had to put much more thought and effort into writing a good story.
