At least it's not "jade" but "jade white skin". I just realize that Chinese authors use jade for representing female beauty while Japanese authors use ivory, creamy white, or porcelain.
If you want to describe beauty, use healthy descriptions like rosy complexion, luscious lips etc. and not food nor stone
The best tip I could give is: Keep it simple. You don't always have to give examples or be descriptive about their looks. For example: Lily had rather average facial features, but when combined together, she was stunning. Her pink lips and pale-white skin made her especially delicate, making people subconsciously want to protect her.
