Hey hey people, Ai-chan here. Oi oi, minna. Ai-chan desu. You have been tasked with building a fort in a god awful place because the king said he trust in your abilities completely. Your job is to be the first line of defense to stop the demon king's entire army from massacring your nation. That being said, what would you call this fort? For reference, the fantasy serial The Outpost simply named the fort The Outpost. Yes, very original.
I’d call it “Chrysanthemum Outpost” because you know what’ll happen if they get past it Edit: on another note, I’d definitely name the soldiers stationed there the rim guards
"Once you come in, you come out naked and poor. Gender Equality to all as we scam you of your money till we start selling you to a brothel." - Welcome To Scam Fort.
I'd name it after his queen. And when the demon king's army breaks through the defenses, it'd be said that they breached *insert queen's name*.
The Outpost is fine, because it can be changed later, like after the war or whatnot. It's better to keep the name simply, so it doesn't affect morale, if/when it's been taken. Like, if you named it: then it was taken, lol. Though, it can also be positive, if you can hold it, as was mentioned, the place is 'awful'. Think most such forts/outposts were named simply IRL too, just Fort attached name of the place or the 'leader' of it. Ps. Is that a hint of intrigue, I spot?
[Kingdom xx]'s Spear It's friendly for innuendos too "The spear will never allow the demon's penetration!" or King:"I have never doubted the spear to be our sharpest weapon to the weakest point! They will scream when they see it!" Symbolically it will mean "bridgehead" and it also implies it can dish out the hurt to any invaders.
Real life tries to avoid things like that because it is way too easy to mix up outposts. "We need our reinforcements or we are all dead!!" "Sorry, they went to the other outpost instead of this outpost, can you wait another week?" Usually, names would just go Fort (Location) so that confusion is minimized, just the name would tell you where to go.
