Not to cast doubt on your claim, but this person studies English Literature and he writes like this??

If you have quoted that person, then I can probably guess why Zenith Novels is unhappy with their editing. However, again... It really could be a scam. Without knowing exactly why they denied him, this is nothing but mudslinging.

But seriously... That doesn't look like Literature major to me.

PS: However, if Zenith was cool with their editing for that period of time and later denied him the amount simply because they found someone better... Ideally, they should settle with a one time payment of some amount just for the effort put forth by this peson. Cuz, even if it was poor quality work, you were cool with that work for almost 50 chapters yo!

Tbh I can understand not wanting to pay someone if their work is subpar, but they should have reviewed his ability before hiring him, or immediately after. Instead, it sounds like they waited until the job was done - until he'd done so much - and then decided they weren't satisfied. Imo (based just on this side of the story), he's fully entitled to compensation for his work.

    But good luck getting it.

Unless the 50 chapters he did was his admission test, which is ridiculous if they try to pull that as their excuse.

That'd be way too much of a test, for sure. That sounds more like doing the whole job as a "test". :blobrofl:

If that was a copy paste directly from his chat, I would have doubted his claims about attending English course. That wasn't something I expected from someone claiming to be an Editor. If that was his quality, I doubt he'd even pass the test.

We’ve had to fire editors and translators before. Good rule of thumb is if you hired someone, you pay for their work, and you don’t let it get to a large number of chapters of subpar work. If you do, that’s also on you as management and you need to take responsibility, ie take the L and pay them before firing them.
