So, every Sage is going to show up to fight against the 'first sage in 1000 years' only to find out he's in the under 20 bracket and have their dreams shattered.

 

It occurs to me that he never actually finished researching the improved body tempering liquid formula with Medicine Master. I wonder if he'll ever get back to that, or if MM is just on his own on that project now.

Totally forgot about that. Lol. Think he will go back (or have an elder) to research it to give to his eventual other disciples. At very least the idiot who caught him training and was (probably doesn’t remember now) stalking song will need it. Song did consider taking him in if they kept meeting so it’s got to happen now.

 

What was Shuhang's reason for not pursuing a relationship with Sixteen again? I seem to remember him saying at one point, but I've forgotten.

Mostly the awkward position he is in with his ghost spirit. He really did fall for her and then she fused with him. So that was a problem until recently. Now they are just testing the water I guess.

 

Sixteen was the one who fully showed her explicit interest on Shuhang during their conversation. Shuhang didn't dislike her or her affection either and he only said he was not actively pursuing a relationship because he still has a long life ahead of him. Sixteen was still interested despite that and did not let his relationship with Ye Si affect her - at least not that much as was seen in their conversation because she's pretty tough. Right now they're mutually deepening their relationship through spending time together and not in a rush as they're cultivators. It was one of my favorite conversations in the book as any romance would play a big part of Shuhang's life as far as I am aware of.

Yeah, Ye Si was a special case as she was Shuhang's first love and they had a common interest through books. I guess they did become 'official' but they never got to be intimate that much. That said, Ye Si said that any woman who wanted to be in a relationship with Shuhang needed her approval first. The ghost spirit relationship isn't quite like love but still an intimate and trusting one from what I've seen in their interactions.

 

I thought it would follow the ol' medicine genius trope but nope xD

 

I wonder what they will do when they knew that Senior White ran away in the middle...

 

I suspect once you cultivate, the level of your testosterone reduces dramatically that you have 0 interest in sex....
