Another character I don't like: The emperor. Spoiler Apparently in order for 'war' to occur, it needs the approval of the emperor. The marquis who initially had a monopoly on mana stones was threatened by Ran and the appearance of Lachi'as higher quality and larger mana stone reserves. Initially, he threatened her like a little bitch, and when she didn't back down, he went crying to the emperor. Somehow, he got the emperor's approval to declare war on Lachia. A territory dispute, I guess? Either way, on the day the war was formally approved, the scumbag marquis HAD ALREADY sent troops ahead of the date to the Lachia territory. This leaves no room for Ran to go back or send reinforcements in time to assist Yusuf. Remember, the territory of Lachia is super remote and traveling to Lachia takes a few weeks. However, Lachia's remoteness is also a major advantage for Yusuf for two major reasons: 1. There is not much previous surveillance or scouting that had been done for Lachia. 2. It's winter and winter's are harsh. Presumably, the Marquis' men aren't used to these fridge fighting conditions. Basically, our boy Yusuf not only has home field advantage, he's a formally trained knight and SMART AF, and lastly, he has the surprise advantage on these enemy soldiers. I expect the scumbug marquis' troops to get wrecked. Also, if the emperor is anything like the prince, I hope he gets ruined as well. Take mining right and anything she wants and leave Lachia 2. Marry him which gave MC a big shock and told ML should marry for love that made him said he love MC MC asked can't I just stay in then ML gave the third option to receive count title, remain in Lachia, and suffer from his courtship MC gave an answer the next day in Clan meeting where the first topic was removed MC from the family register and most of the vassal told MC to stay which made MC choose the third. ML declared that he proposed to MC and got reject and no one object ML marry MC
