Lemon Meringue Pie, freshly chilled, with a light amount of sugar in the meringue to offset the slight sour of the lemon filling.

My personal favourite - Salmon gravlax.
Cure freshly sliced salmon in salt, sugar, pepper and dill. Consume with hovmästarsås, a dill and mustard sauce.

    Hmm - Spicy Chicken

Tender chicken meat, stained with oil and drenched with red chillis and chilli flakes. A piece of lime squeezed above and chili paste with oil as it's sauce.

Served with warm rice (Yummm :aww:)

How about Nasi Goreng "Magelangan Style"
(Magelangan is a term for fried rice mixed with noodles) This variety is very popular in Jogjakarta.

    Main ingredients
2 portion of rice, indomie goreng noodle
Egg, garlic, shallot, salt, soy sauce, tomato sauce, chilli/chilli sauce, dried shrimp (salted, umami flavor)

Prepare indomie goreng noodle first (cook as usual)

Crush the garlic, shallot, chilli and salt. Fry with small amount of oil. Add egg and scramble until all of them properly mixed.

Add rice, soy sauce, tomato sauce and shrimp (salted tiny shrimps) stir it up until properly mixed.

Add indomie goreng noodle, stir and mix
Check the taste, if it's okay then you are done.

I like eating Indomie kind of like a banh mi. Not really a holiday thing though.
    Toast mini baguette
scoop out inside of the bread, use it to wipe the pan you stir fried the indomie clean, toast that, eat or save for dipping in soup
    shovel indomie inside
add jalapeno, carrot/radish pickles, cilantro, diced onion, and some ginger slivers.

Frozen durian is actually pretty good, it suppresses the strong smell so it doesn't overwhelm everything.
