https://www.novelupdates.com/series/the-sovereigns-ascension/ Well, as the reviewers say, this is an amateurish work which is especially evident in the writing style of the first few chapters. No long back story detailing how pitiful the life of the person the MC transmigrated into was. A quick handwave for the MC to accept his new circumstances and off he goes. That said, once the story gets rolling, it's OK-ish. The translations is very good, however there were a few specific occasions which felt like the translator took liberties and a passage sounded particularly amateurish compared to the sounding content.
This novel is somewhat decent if you handwave a couple things. First, there will be 4-8 errors in every chapter, whether they're wrong names, wrong time periods (like years instead of months) or just plain bad grammar. Throw the synopsis out the window. MC's lawyer origin pre transmigration doesn't amount to anything. Chapter 1 starts and the MC just starts running through the story. No thoughts about his past life, family or whatever, he calmly accepts his situation. And becomes a typical MC , transmigration or not, and begins cultivating. Be ready for a lot of sword slave this, sword slave that. The villain characters are, categorically, all 1-dimensional characters. There is no hint of other qualities, in fact, some of them, in high positions can do the dumbest things. His cultivation is too easy so far, although the translation only at ch. 72 right now but I'd like to see some interesting tribulations or bottleneck epiphanies. I'll probably stop reading this at chapter 100 or whenever I get busy.
Ch-141: Special high teir attack token with only 3 uses and Lin Yun just blows one use to show off. Yeah, he was fighting higher realm foes, but that fight wasn't even necessary until he instigated it.
ch-146: Lin Yun wouldn't be so hard up on Xiantian pellets, spirit stones, and other resources if he would only loot his kills.
