I'm getting bored of kingdom-building protagonists who preach for equality between races, whether they be a demi-human, beastman, undead, human, or whatever. For once, I want to read a novel where the MC is completely xenophobic and racist towards other races, some Warhammer level xenophobia or something, where every race hates each other to death.
You're not wrong, but war is usually not the main premise in them. Though, do you know ones that are particularly good?
This request is interesting because people usually avoid nationalism, and the protagonists of such books who are highly likely to be assholes CN- Well, it isn't xenophobia per se, but "Oh My God! Earthlings are Insane!" heavily advocates the potential of humans and being patriotic and proud towards Earth and it's heritage. KR- Dungeon Defense LN and WN might fit the bill because the protag is a demon, and his personality, actions, and goals are grey-evil. JP- Overlord if you haven't already. The mc is protective and proud towards his people who are considered dark-aligned races. Kingdom building goes exactly as you expect of an anti-hero protagonist. JP- Youjo Senki's protagonist directly shows her hate for communists, does not question what's righteous or evil about her orders for war (but considers it pragmatically) and also does some war crimes.
What a weird taste, try IRAS no one more asking for punch than this author writing, tsc ckatlon what kind of mind translating this banned stuff
Divine Throne of Primordial Blood Not exactly xenophobia or racism but mc is one that tries to weaken other races and strengthen the human race because, well, he is a human.
The funny thing is, in most of these, the humans are just as scummy to the MC as the ‘foreigners’, but thats always conveniently ignored.
I never read that chinese crap but, why the hell Han even exist in an alternate fantasy isekai world anyway
He does preach equality in inequality, a "to each their own and trample whoever gets in your way" kind of mind without making any distinction.
Oh yeah. Still, he does not have any hesitation in fighting humans and furthering his own goals/faction.
In this particular world, it’s pretty much just earth with cultivation. But otherwise, Chinese authors usually can’t not mention China in some way, shape or form. Or forget to to vilify foreigners in some way, shape or form. No matter the setting.
I'm Really a Superstar - There are entire scenes against Japanese and Korean people (including beating them up, and not allowing other country races to participate in Chinese shows, looking down on girls' liking K-pop idols? PS Hypocrite MC steals ideas from countries he hates) if I remember right, also the reason I dropped it. But rather than the author making it a trait of MC, it's just the blatant inditing of his ideals and toxic nationalism.
Senketsu no Elf It's unfortunate that the author dropped this after two volumes, but the two he wrote really deliver.
Lol read most CN novels with these tags #harem #OP #modern #cultivation #system you will find xenophobia especially if it has Chinese medicine or cooking
Spoiler: Rakuin no Monshou Other kingdoms and duchy subjects thought Mephian (subject from hostile neighbor empire) mercenaries as barbaric, arrogant and hungry for glory. When mercenaries group advice something regular soldier didn't like it and diminish it because they perceived it as outsider commanded them and another reason this outsider is from Mephius, those two countries have bad history toward each other. When mercenaries accomplished their goal and defeated the foe, duke's soldiers didn't like it because the campaign initiated by their country and it's their country interest to kill chief of their enemy. Fortunately mephian mercenary declared he kill the enemy chief in the name of duke as His Highness command him, welp most soldiers can only begrudgingly accept it. The Last Science Most characters in this story fall into two factions, the one who support magic (mages and ally) and the one want complete erasure of it (anti magic movement). Both sides went to such great length ensure to reach their goal and prevent the other side to achieve their objectives, both of them have very different view about magic. One faction see magic as gift with promising potential and betterment of humanity, the other side see it as existential threat to society they love and humanity as whole, it's like sword dangling above their heads promising swift cut and doomed their descendant to unknown future. With all potential and power that come with magic, magic also bring problem and complication. Both factions harmed each other and bystander between them, most of them suffered, awake each night from nightmare from their mistake and face of people they incapable to help, horrified from what they have done and what they become.
