Reading further in the form it seems like the prince is a love interest, but nobody knows if he is THE love interest or if there will even be one (spoilers from the novel). I don't dislike the red-haired dude either. I just feel like the prince doesnt fits her. She needs someone with a strong personality like herself and he doesn't have it. And we havent really seen her interact a ton with the red-haired dude, So, I can't really judge him off of their fits and few interactions.

100% agree. Why can't it be a merchant, or a mercenary, or farmer! I am also tierd of the OP or destined plot lines. I want to see an ordinary person choose or is caught up in something important or great and must learn to be strong. This lead me to writing my own stories, and while my material is great, my writing is terrible....so none of it is worth sharing and even I don't get true satisfaction from it.
