Mass effect 1 to 3 is worth. Andromeda is a let down. Although 3 got a lot of shit about its endings. God of war is one of THE BEST made games. RDR2 also great. Stardew Valley is good if you like the genre.

Go play Nier Automata like right now you savage. No need for previous games storywise. It's a timeless piece.

The new Mass Effect seems to be a continuation of the Shepard series. Hope it’s better than andromeda.

Definitely worth it, though with ME1 you might be dissuaded by the poor graphics (though there's mods to make it look much better), also I don't recommend playing at the highest difficulty since all it really does is make enemies into damage sponges, so rather than making it difficult it's mostly just tiring. (Though there's some times when the game does get really difficult ofc.)

Imo ME2 is the best, but you should really play ME1 first because of the story + obviously being a prequel. Also the story is much better in ME1.

If I were to replay ME1 I'd probably mostly just do the main quests though I think and not be a completionists (though to be fair I've replayed a lot of times already), because exploring all the planets with the Mako (the vehicle you drive around) can be a pain in the ass.

And ofc you should play ME2. Nothing really has to be said, though it's arguable that the story in ME2 is basically a side-story and irrelevant to the overarching story, but I don't wholly agree with that sentiment. (This is why some people somehow think ME2 is a bad game, even worse than ME3, but they're wrong)

As for ME3... well the combat is the best, and after playing ME3 and then replaying ME2 I always miss not being able to dodge roll or quickly get into cover. Enemies are also a bit more interesting in ME3, and ME3 has a couple of good moments.

But other than the combat and more interesting enemies (and the coop multiplayer mode which is pretty fun btw, though I haven't played it for probably 4+ years) the game is mostly just shit tbh. The story is ass and full of plot holes, the ending is infamously bad and lame, and it still sucks even after it got patched to become better (it didn't solve the core problems).

The questing is completely atrocious in ME3, the quest tracker is the worst in any game I've seen and I actually had to look up on wiki where to go a few times, plus it doesn't even really inform you whether you've completed the quest or not, so you might actually be done and just have to go to the quest giver and turn in the quest, but you wouldn't know it...

Well I wouldn't recommend buying ME3 at least, if it wasn't for multiplayer coop I'd regret I bought it, and since the ending is trash it's not even worth it just to get an ending to the story either.

Have you tried the Metal Gear Series? You probably have if I'm assuming based on it's popularity
Was exposed to the series growing up so I have certain nostalgia and very fun experiences with it.

Metal Gear 3 Snake Eater on PS2, The PS Vita version metal gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Peacewalker, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (amazingly different from the others) and many other installments I haven't tried. A staple of shooting stealth games.

Mass Effect series is a classic, probably Fallout 4 or New Vegas as well if you like that kind of dynamic 3rd-person RPG genre.

Batman Arkham series was pretty cool back then, since it was one of the first to take 3rd-person open-world to that level with platforming and aerial movements. It was pretty memorable when coupled with the great writing and voice acting. But if you've been exposed to that genre a lot since then (UC4, etc), you might find it a little backwards since a lot of those themes and narrative styles have been copied in later games.

If you're into horror, try out Dead Space 1 & 2. Still think it's the best horror game ever made.

Generally all of the above are ones with great storylines, which is something I find much more important than fancy graphics.

I tried the entire Red Dead and Witcher series, I'm probably the minority that found them boring. Did not find any of the story lines particularly interesting or noteworthy.
Maybe players just like Westerns since Desperados is another very popular game for some reason. Or they are just horny teenagers attracted to the pointless sex and gore in Witcher. Kind of like when Spartacus (TV series) was a really big hit for similar reasons ... because who knew ppl really just like watching violent, brain-dead soft-core porn

I watched a lot of gameplays of Cyberpunk 2077. I don't like FPS RPGs since it's just visually annoying .. why spend all that time crafting how your character looks if you CAN'T SEE IT? It's not possible to switch to 3rd-person either, and the devs have no intention of doing so in future patches.

I played Red Dead Redemption 2 in my PS4, it has good graphics. It is interactive and similar to GTA, just in a different era. The storyline is different from the first RDR. This one is about the disbandment of the gang.

Most of those are worth playing. I never really like fall out tho and Dishonored is alright, but if I was asked to buy it I can solidly say I wouldn't. Dooom is always fun.

The batman arkham series is really fun to play def would recommend you play it. I have it on ps4, but there was an epic games free game digital give away few months ago they gave away the whole batman arkham series for free.

Nier automata is good and I don't think you have to play part one to undderstand the game I have Nier for ps3 it's also really good game.

Mass effect is also good action and story.

Shadow of modor is also really good and if you die the enemy ranks up which makes the game challenging if you want to clear them all out.

Yeah the thing that attracted me to this game is how relaxing it is, so I can play it if I feel burned out.
As for the Witcher 3, it was amazing! The world feels so natural, like I’ve been transported to another world.
And the endings was superb, though my last playthrough of it left me feeling extremely sad since I did the worst ending.
    Sir yes sir!
I haven’t played or watched others play it. Can you tell me where to start?
I heard that firewatch had a great story, and i don’t really mind it being a walking simulator if the story is great.

Reaally? I'm sure you'll love these.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is a hack and slash which you could play as stealth, (9.5/10 of all hack and slashes I've played) mixed with amazing soundtrack, cutscenes, boss fights, action sequences and fights. I suggest you start here if you want to start with something easy to get into but you'll probably love in the end. The protagonist is in the previous installments but the protagonist here is his best and coolest version yet. The game is a spin-off to the main series but definitely canon (connected to main storyline). This is a cult-classic as far as I am aware.

If you have a ps3 then you could try metal gear solid 3 snake eater (great story, stealth, world, attention to details such as hunting or radio conversations, and boss fights), metal gear peacewalker (also great story and stealth and boss fights, missions, and I think this is the first one to incorporate the aspect where you can hire your own soldiers and make squads, build up your own base and choose to upgrade weapons, and play as your own soldiers in missions if you want to). You can also try these on emulators, which I still highly recommend. I think the community is still alive if you wanna multiplayer, but ofc you need experience.

I also heard you shouldn't try 4, yet, unless you're hooked on the story and more gameplay because it was the most fun when the servers were active. Then MGSV (5), which is the last game of the series: it's open world and includes many of the great things of the series. Top-notch and the most-relevant and advanced, not to say MGS Snake Eater can't match up or surpass it despite the large difference when they were produced (because snake eater was that good and enjoyable).

There are also many installments of the series which you could try and are just as fun. Such as the Metal Gear 2 Solid HD edition.

Also, the key is immersing into the story and all the details such as music, environment, equipment and weapons, exploring multiple ways of playing and achieving goals, and understanding it's inherent charm. I am aware my opinions might be biased, but my words do have substance.

I'd say play Elder Scrolls 5 over 4. I loved Dishonored, Mass Effect 1-3 is also great to play through.

Yes to this. The game is great. Install some qol mods though. I can give you a modlist if you want.
No, you are fine without playing Nier. A remaster of the first game is going to be released in April 2021 though.

Not sure if I have the technical know-how to install mods on a ps4. And I’ve ordered the game now.
There’s gonna be another game of it? I’ll check the reviews of it once it’s out, or preorder it in case of NieR: Automata being great.
