What’s the best romance trope for you (and why) and pls drop recos pls *anw i believe that the best romance trope is enemies to lovers
romance trope?? doesn't count as a trope but power couples. equal standing for both sides is a massive turn-on for me
I like childhood sweethearts because the transition from friends to lovers always excited me. Also this has more probability of not encountering a person that try to still the mc or the fc
Mature couple (could this be counted as a trope? maybe not) where both leads do not lead even the smallest misunderstandings occur between them or take too long to resolve it
I tend to read Established Couple romances. Not that I particularly like them but because they normally lack some troupes that I try to avoid like misunderstandings, drama, love triangles..
tragedy and separation....... that aside hmmm wealth gap? ehm love from different status, or love born on couple who on opposite sides~ drama!
enemies to lovers? Then you surely read and loved this novel "Perfect Secret Love: The Bad New Wife is a Little Sweet" Although the beginning is a little "extreme", but it is a very different story later in this novel. There is a very valid reason for everything and the plot is amazing as the mystery unvails itself step by step. As for me, I like currently "Fl avoids romantic relationship or marriage with a specific person, due to her knowledge in their future". Either because she reincarnated or transmigrated into a novel etc. As for recommendations for this trope? Run, Girl (if You Can) on Webnovel I also like seperation and regret. The protagonist was abandoned by her/his fiance and he/she regrets the break up later a lot. F.e. Reijou wa Mattari wo Goshomou
I second childhood friends/sweethearts! It's so much more endearing to read about when you know the characters have history together, and gives the window of chance to do cute flashback moments.
No misunderstandings. Seriously, it’s not hard to talk, communicate and explain things but characters in novels sometimes make it seem harder than cultivating to immortality
I like power couple trope. Like FL is not a damsel in distress all the time, ML is not a horndog/pervert. Like Lucien×Natasha from ToMA.
Less a trope, but what I want to see in a Romance novel is a main relationship that is real. It should have characters that feel human and have a varied range of interactions and preferably have some gravity and consequence. It's a shame that it doesn't happen more often so I wouldn't have to look for it so far. What's shocking is that I tend to have more luck finding this kind of story in fiction for men.
