I am looking for a good novel with bl. I don't want it to be completely about the bl (as in its just a romance) i want a good novel where mc just happens to be gay (not banning romance tho just want there to be more to the story). Genres i like are action, thriller, horror, fantasy and dark (e.g. dark fantasy) and exciting novels. I hope some one can recommend me a good story thank you
I've led the villain astray ( cultivation not that dark ) to be a hearttrob in a horror movie ( mildly dark ) Kaleidoscope of Death ( very dark )

Thrive in Catastrophe. I like how zombies mutated and MC's character grew from weak to strong. It's quite a thrilling read Blood Contract seems like a dark fantasy. Haven't read it though

Try I Became a God in a Horror Game and Psychic. Also, it's still at the beginning of translations, but I think you would love THE REAL AWAKENING. It's a supernatural/psychological/thriller - you can get a pretty good idea of the tone just from reading the prologue. This series was one of the darkest, craziest, and angstiest novels I've ever read, but I loved it, it was so well-written. The main story is technically no-romance (though they exchange some seriously bittersweet lines), but the side story is light romantic fluff and there is an official post-canon doujinshi extra volume where the main characters live together as a couple. I can also recommend some more if you're willing to read raws!
