Can you recommend a good chair to sit in a lot for pc. I bought a 300 euro ergonomic chair that's actually made for people only up to 183cm or so, I'm 194. It has attachable headrest which I cant use and I tried the chair first, it seemed comfortable but unless I sit ram straight my back hurts after half an hour . There are those noble something gamer chairs on amazon, also expensive but plenty of people said they start squeaking soon.
my hands need to reach the keyboard, not a glass of gin tonic...where the fuck would I even put this monster and its not very portable
194cm is pretty tall. Not many chairs would fit you. Ai-chan suggests that you learn woodworking and make your own chair. Ai-chan's Canadian ex-bf was very tall and all the furniture in his home had to be made by his own hands.
avoid gaming chair like a plague. look for office-use chairs instead. if used/recond if an acceptable (as well as available) option to you, try looking into that route as well. you could get a 4-digit priced chair for sometimes less than a half of that, with all the qualities an expensive chair could offer. i bought mine almost 8 years ago and it is still sturdy even now. the seat is sponge+breathable fabric and the backrest is meshed fabric. i never had to replace/fix a single thing, other than removing and washing the seat and backrest every once in a while. on other note, ergonomic chairs needs a while to get used to. the reason you feel uncomfortable is probably due to bad posture (a habit developed over long period of time). of course, this is assuming it is really a properly designed ergo chair, not those showy, fancy type.
seat/armrest moving forward as well as up/down is for accomodating the user's height. but it does sound like one (ergo chair), though probably not a 'complete' one. a good one should also include a lumbar adjustment to accomodate body size/type (slim, fat, long/short torso), though it defintey is more expensive. the thing with ergo chair is, you'll need to test it before you buy it. most of the sub 1K chair has the lumbar/curve position fixed and pre-set to satisfy the most users. so the amount of curve, or its position might not be suitable for some as tall as you. if you have time to spare, this a quite recent video on how bad gaming chair is and why they should be avoided.
. Yeah that's it, fixed lumbar, a bit low for me but I have correct posture when sitting straight, except I can't lean back and chill. Didn't wanna pay crazy amount for a chair so I went a hundred over the cheapest ergonomic model.
With 300 euros you can probably custom order a tailored chair from another country, pay for the transportation, the tariffs, and still have some money left lol. The markup on gaming chairs is getting ridiculously high.
The ones the government gets are not very good, they don't even have the "massage" or "vibrate" function.
Believe it or not, I'm not one of those double joint people from One piece, cant type and click while leaning that far back.
