Apparently Valor turn into that type of obsessive Ex (*verging on Heathcliff territory). As in the Dude who realized he let "The One" get away type and becomes persistent, delusional and not one bit apologetic. (*ie. a cockroach) What else we will eventually see: Rubiel (the little sister) Rudiger (who???) The Sperm Donor The Ex Nevea may be around 22-ish at the breaking of the engagement??? Also, Arendt lives up to expectations. Between our two intrepid protagonists, Arendt is the first to fall, and then we get to follow him and his attempts to win Nevea after (*sounds fun). Apparently he has a silver tongue and is smoother than silk because his "Lines are Pretty. " So for those of you who have the novel, care to share?
Spoiler: CH 15 -ML kept his eyes on MC until she disappeared. After a while, his escort came to find him in the VIP room since he stayed for a long time, he looked like a painting because he was silent. -ML suddenly said that he found a fiance which surprised his escort, he said it was more like she was the one who found him, he compared her to stone that was thrown by everyone and he was lucky to find a jewel when he picked it up. -He ordered his escort to find informations about the Wistrash duchy and the ex-fiance of the duke since he still got many questions while glaring at Valor and wondering where did his dignity go. -MC was so scared that she didn't feel her pounding heart but she was confident in her proposal and decided to go home before the daddy get there and start a scene. -When she found her sister, she came face to face with the situation known was Valor who was waiting for her with her sister, he gave Rubiel a flower crown that MC wanted so much before butt she decided to ignore him. -While walking with her sister, Rubiel told MC that the duke wanted to talk with so MC told her it was late but Valor who following them asked what did she talk with ML which made MC sent her sister to the carriage before since also she didn't want to break the mask of kindness in front of her. -She asked him what was it this time, Valor was surprised by her cold face toward him. She told him was he the one with regrets since he was tied to a careless woman like her and that it must have been a divine sign for him. -Back to Valor and CP-crap at the scene made by the noble, Valor wondered how dare a daughter of an earl talk that way to a daughter of a marquis and that the marquis should retaliate which made the CP-crap laugh on him, telling him that it was stupid to do so since the marquis was never considerate toward his older daughter and that everyone know about this fact and it has been always like this.

Spoiler: CH 16 -CP-crap said that when MC entered the social circle, her father ignored her completely and it looked like Valor didn't know that. -Valor thought to himself that it was true that he was at the battlefield but that was no excuse since anyone with eyes and a little brain would have noticed that MC was always alone as the marquis never asked about her during her stay at the ducky for 10 years (wow, he, at least, noticed that he was an idiot and a stupid man with all due respect to all the idiots of the world, he is a lost and hopeless cause). -Valor thought it was unfair since it was true that MC was the daughter of a maid but she was also the daughter of the marquis and the count shit daughter didn't have the right to do this to MC (he needs new pair of eyes or a new brain). -When he finally (too late sucker) gathered his courage to save MC, someone took the spotlight from him, ML saved MC and took her away while he was frozen like rock. -He looked for MC but couldn't find her, instead he came across her little sister so he decided to wait with her since she was looking for Nevaeh. -When she came back, he was greeted by her cold face, he wanted to ask her if she was okay, if it was always like this (the treatment of the nobles to her), what was her relationship with ML (take a hint (I was hearing the song on the background like Shou did hear his song play with Kyoko from Skip Beat)). -MC asked what was it this time, since he looked confused, she asked if she did anything wrong because the only time that he asked about her was when she made mistakes. -Valor said that he was worried. MC felt disgusted by his statement, she told him that for 10 years he didn't care about her and now she broke their engagement so he needed to move on with his life and meet someone new. -She excused herself, told to pretend he didn't know her and left. Once outside, she noticed the full moon, the beautiful garden and her sister who was asleep inside the carriage. -MC felt that the 10 years she spent in love with Valor where a waste but relieved since she confirmed that she was no longer attached or felt anything for him. -The engagement of MC and Valor was a deal between the duke and the marquis that their first children needed to get married to each other. Not expecting MC, the first child of the marquis to be born from a maid, the duchy couple kept their promise and welcomed her but she received the smallest room on the 3rd floor at the end of the hallway since it was forgotten and the duchess won't have to see MC when she passed to the 4th floor where the duchy family rooms are located.
Spoiler: CH 17 -When MC was 15 years old, she had a very bad cold with high fever for 2 days, she suffered alone since she hadn't a maid and her room was so far and the end of the corridor of the 3rd floor with a very big window without curtains. -It was winter, her father didn't send her anything like bed sheets or blankets, all she had was a thin cotton blanket that didn't help her at all (I'm crying my heart out over here ). She didn't call a doctor because her father told her that it was a luxury she didn't deserve (That's it, I need to bring him into the real world and torture him to death). -Since she felt a little better, she gathered her strength, dressed up and went to the 2nd floor where the dining room was to call a maid for some medicine. -She had difficulty walking, every move made her body shake with pain. Once arrived, she smelled the delicious food from the door and she heard the family of 3 talking about how emperor-shit liked Valor's sword skill, a scene that MC felt very painful at and that she didn't fit in it so she decided to go back to her room but she fainted at the last 5 steps of the stair. -She saw and heard Valor asking if she was okay and called a doctor. -When MC woke up, she found 2 maids who told her that she wasn't going to die and that they didn't need to call a doctor so urgently. They gave the medicine and told her to eat it. -She noticed new thick purple curtains that Valor ordered for the room, MC was happy thinking that it was a sweet torture where he did ignore her but run back to her in her need. She felt disgusted on the efforts she made for him since she realized that those sweet actions of his are actually regrets (remember when she told him that he was the one full of regrets that he was engaged to a careless woman like her) (we need a demon lord level 300 to kill them all). -She looked at her little sister's sleeping face and said that she was jealous of her, an illegitimate daughter who got a better treatment then her, all because her mother was young noblewoman while MC's a low life maid. -When Rubiel was born, the marquis put her name right away in the family registry and that showed the marquis's affection for her unlike MC ( maybe he took a long time to put MC's name on it, not sure or maybe because he ignored her and treated her badly). -MC said that she was so unhappy that she envied her. When she first saw her, she noticed her red ruby eyes where her name was from unlike MC, her name was the inverse of the shy/heaven word in the Thierry's empire: Sky: Aievin which made her name Niveia. (I like Neveah much better, it's cooler so I'm using it). -Then she thought about her name when she gets married to ML, Neveah Theirry Joachim (since she didn't have a middle name which was necessary for all the nobles).
If you are noble and do not like commoners, so control yourself, I really hate parents when they blame children for their ancestry, how about you who slept with a maid!, so much frustration
Spoiler: CH 18 -Next morning, ML made a sad grim voice on the the informations his escort found on Neveah and duke Wistrash, asking if he just went and gathered rumors. -Rudiger said that he didn't bring rumors but facts on Neveah but they were so little (she didn't participate in social gatherings since she was never invited nor made one herself since she was treated like nonsense, had to take care of the duchy and she was craving for love) and told ML that he was unfair and ungrateful master since he didn't bring many people with him to do sudden jobs all night, wondering if he was unsatisfied. -ML was very happy since everything MC told him was true especially about her love for Wistrash jerk and asked where the hell did the good reputation of the jerk came from (I guess he took credit for MC's work this whole time (I wonder what those idiot noble have inside their heads for real)). -Escort-kun wondered why ML was interested in MC so ML told that she was going to become his wife, making Rudiger upset since the nobles would make fun out of MC. -ML's search for a wife in Thierry empire was his older brother and his wife idea. -ML's older brother was the oldest son of his father but not the son of the empress. They had a good relationship with each other, when he announced his marriage to a native princess it was a huge story that turned later to a scandal since she got pregnant. -ML's brother and his wife had some regrets about the growing affection between them but they loved each other, when ML wanted a wife they told him to go to Thierry. Also he choosed to go there since it was a big empire and there had to be a woman who would meet his conditions. -He was thinking about how lucky he was to find MC, a stone thrown by everyone that turned to be a jewel when he picked it up. -ML asked what time was it. It was the time to meet drop-to-hell-already-emperor and he was right on time (I smell a good show being cooked). -Back to the night before, when MC and her sister got home. The daddy didn't make a scene since he was worried on Rubiel, he checked her from head to toe making MC feel like a kidnapper. -MC felt upset on this scene since she always imagined her father to be a man who didn't know how to be a father or show affection but it turned out that he was a father to her little sister but not to her. Since Rubiel said that she was sleepy, he hugged her and took her to her bed leaving MC behind. -She was so anxious that she got only 4 hours of sleep after her little nap in the carriage while holding Ruby's hand (nickname for Rubiel by me not the novel). -She bathed, prepared herself since there was no maid at the annex to help her. And while choosing between a red and a white dress, she heard the door open finding little sister at the door. -She invited her in and asked her why was she there. Ruby told MC that she felt lonely because she missed MC (the party affect is on (intimacy level up)). She was the only happy person in the whole mansion to have MC around which made MC wonder why wasn't she inviting her friends to play and have tea parties. -Ruby told her that, MC's mother hated her and didn't allow her to do that (it looks like bitch mother knows that once little one start acting like a noble lady, she will lose whatever face, power or position she has at the marquis house, she still delusional). -MC told Ruby to do what she wanted and to ask for daddy's help if the marchioness tries anything since he only love her. And she told her that she won't be staying kong at the mansion since she hated it very much. -MC wondered why did her mother stay when everyone was ignoring her and the marquis naming Ruby against her wil made things even worse since she couldn't trust anyone so she pored her anger on the little one who was loved and happy (wow another Trasha), this made MC feel a little sorry for her little sister.
