The word Warcraft in Chinese novels?

I get it's some kind magic beast but does anyone know what it really is? It's always popping up.
Same for answering machine, eagle and road in Japanese novels

These words are always popping up in contexts that don't make sense. You damn well know a medieval inn isn't going to have an answering machine when the world doesn't have phones, and Orc Road D:

 

I'm not sure what you mean. Are you talking about the literal translations you see in MTL stories?

 

In some novels I read they are the beast from the demon world like nightmares, in others is just used to describe beasts in general.
In one was to describe beasts without form but that could take form.

 

I've read these 4 posts several times and I still don't know what you're all talking about. I thought warcraft would be something related to war or talking about that game, but magic beast?

 

MTL nonsense. The Chinese name for Warcraft (the game) is 魔兽争霸 ie “magic beasts struggle for hegemony”, or just “魔兽” for short. Some crappy MTL engines therefore interpret all usages of it to refer to the game Warcraft.
