I wonder how long it will take to translate all of volume 11. If I knew I'd take this series off my reading list until it was finished so I could read the next volume all at once.
If you don’t read the character summaries you will actually miss some information that doesn’t appear in the regular chapters.
That happened to me, several times, maybe not so much for the plot, but you miss details that explain the reactions or actions of some characters or their relationships between them (they are simple things but they are difficult to introduce because you simply cannot expect that someone launched a monologue about his opinion on life and killing). edit:The main issue is that we follow a group of beings for whom they do not care too much about your ideals or past as long as they are sure that they are on the same side.
I often skip the summaries since its just often details about their rank and skills and their current state
Aint mattering much. Not at all, in fact. Either a character shows it by his or her actions or he wasn't important enough to bring it up. Skill growth is the same.
I actually like the character summaries. It has some epilogue vibes due to the random bits of humorous information. It also works as a refresher for the new characters/recent events.
I really wonder what will happen when the statue is finished. No way its just going to sit there and do nothing.
Imagine a giant Van statue, reaching out just far enough...to put its finger over the peephole the Alda gods are using.
All Hail Giki, the first bee priestess of her kind! Oh and yeah I totally hope that huge statue is gonna do more in the future. Maybe one of Van's jobs options named after mythological figures or places will allow him to perceive from objects of worship devoted to him (like all those palm sized and live sized statues that have been made of him already), and maybe even allow him to move them? I'm just imaging a horde of tiny Van's pummeling something now, haha.
