Discussion why jealousy women's didn't give up on ML and torment the FL ?

I likely give preference to CEO romance, Historical and Fantasy romance...

There is one plot very common in the genere I read is the jealousy women tormenting the FL!!

Why most of the novel or manhwa same jealousy women plot and why those jealousy women won't give up on ML even thought they knew ML lead won't belong to them... or why they can't settle with other 2nd or 3rd lead?

 

In most of the cases, it's either greed (for money or power). Sometimes the villianess is a childhood friend or something and she genuinely loves the ml. Or she has prepared her whole life to become the empress or something and then isnt willing to give up that position to a random girl with no qualifications(acc the villianess)

 

Love is Blind

 

she wouldn't be a villainess then and that would be troubling for the author

 

because they need something lazy to drive conflict and the ML/FL relationship.
It's why, several times, i've seen these types of novels be described as sadomasochistic in nature.

Of course, it depends on the sort of novel. Otome style, usually it's just the villainess trying to follow the social mores which the heroine willfully or ignorantly ignores due to being a white lotus which then escalates mostly due to other jealous people doing stuff to blame the villainess. This style is more the 'stupidly ignoring the very setting and culture of the novel world just for the plot' version

CN style, usually it's because the women are usually made out to be greedy schemers, psycho one-sided yanderes or wanton horny sluts who want ML for his looks... sometimes it's a combo of the three and sometimes it's something completely different.

 

One of the main reason i Normally see is that the ML is super rich.he is either a rich prince emperor or rich rich boss. Jealous women are normally born in a rich but not rich as ML so they want him cause he is rich/handsome and they hate the fact that the FL who is normally poorer gets the ML love aka money

 

Sometimes it's also cos the girls never been denied stuff and so she basically throws tantrum

 

If they're torment of the FL, it means that they're envious of the things or a situation or position they're losing because of her. Simply they're gold diggers.

And they don't give up ML, because that man is a rich, famous guy or an overpowered ass****.

 

Jealous, not jealousy..

If they can give up easily then they won't be called jealous in the first place...

I don't think not being able to give up on your ambitions is necessarily a bad trait.

 

There is no emotion as destructive as love. Few women are particulary happy to be second place when it comes to someone they genuinly love. Same with men for that matter. If the person is in a social setting which goes with the "might makes right" approach the result is obvious.

And obviously CNs have the habit of writing shitty (and excessively stupid) characters.

 

People are petty, some grudge can be cause from the smallest thing and last quite long

isnt there is saying or sentence [Grudge over food can last 7 generation]

 

Cz the FL is not worthed for ML

Because that kind of thing happen in real-life.
Yes, love makes you dumb, you can't see things clearly.

My mother have this experience. Father cheated on her, instead of hating my father, she keep hating the other women. And this also applies for the other women.
I'm watching them as an outside party, this going on and on for years, thinking how dumb they are.
