I don't understand much about imprinting of Shapeshifters Spoiler: Duke's Imprint well it looks like that the Duke used ancient magic to imprint on Astel without astel's consent and Astel needs constant contact with the Duke due to the Imprint's symptoms that appear like headache/fever/chest-pain and it disappears when they make contact like hold hands?? So even before they arrive at duke's castle the Duke starts to hold her hand and give her candies and after arriving at the castle duke Anais immediately went to get Astel a doctor to diagnose the symptoms and confirms about that the Duke and Astel have Imprint's.,. Then the Duke like ' I'm surprised' but Astel noticed that he just saying that but does not look surprised at all.
i haven't reached that part yet but maybe that's why he was called king of the beasts, as far as I know the maid Rudel was a sloth with OCD... As far as the chapter I've read Spoiler: Cassian MC brother MC Astel tried to tell cassian how they were living inside a book/novel but cassian didn't believe it and assumed that it was only Astel's imagination Cassian volunteered to go the north saying it will be fun (but ofcourse because he got a tip from the information guild that the traitors that set up the Vietry family escape and was hiding in the North Duke Castle also he wants to see Astel since the last letter Astel said that she was being taken care of the Duke Anais) And cassian heard the rumors of Duke Anais how he was so brutal even killing his companions in war and tearing them off barehanded. And cassian keeps meeting rachel (from information guild) to ask about Astel but then Since he kept meeting with other informants (which were girls) he was branded as a playboy and Astel mentioned to Duke Anais that Astel and cassian always exchanged letters since they separate from the Orphanage. I forgot which chapter it was that Duke Anais mentioned that he had to kiss her to help her symptoms and Astel asks if kissing the back of the hand was enough and if someday it won't be enough....
