Waaait so manga ends just like this in second life? They meet and some dialogues about them and straight to marriage kiss?

What happened to all the fluffy stories we were shared of novel about her reactions and adapting to the duke household before finally falling in love with ML?

the side story to be done next years seems to be of the Dukes parents and not of Noel-Ingrid anymore.

I mean its happy end but weird and rushed.

    Part 12. It's okay, Duke!

"We've confirmed that we've reached the port of De An from Pavin, but we've missed it since. He seems to have disappeared after noticing the surveillance. I'm sorry, Your Grace."

While he was taking the documents he had put off to the bedroom, Roan stared at Suha, who belatedly reported what he had already known.

Although she even put a watch on the witch she met by chance in Pavin, Roan never thought she would be Erin's aunt. It was amazing to think that Yuliana also didn't know anything and just let her go.

I remembered it belatedly. When he broke up with her mother and daughter in the mountains as a child, Erin said, "I'm going to see my aunt."

If so, it was highly likely that Juliana knew about Sofia's "Yeji" and "magic" in the "past."

Reflecting on the ambiguous attitude and way of saying advice about magic, I became convinced.
'But even Erin didn't show any sign of it.'

In the past, Erin didn't recognize her aunt, so it seems that the traffic has been cut off for a long time, but it is different now.

Looking at Erin's familiarity with the witch, the relationship seemed quite strong. Looking back on Yuliana's past track record of pretending to be a stranger but hovering around Erin, it was highly likely that she would not have left around her again. "There's no way there's a witch!

Roan guessed where he could find Juliana, but decided to ignore her for a moment. There is a possibility that the witch may mention "Yeji" to Erin, and most of all, Boo-ah pushed me to ask for Erin to my evil 50s.

When Roan's expression in thought turned fierce, Su-ha, who was waiting for punishment, became contemplated and even sweated.

Trying to give up the pathetic Suha, Roan called him back and gave him a new order.

"If you don't do it properly again this time, you'll have to take off your driver's uniform." He turned to the documents again, but Roan eventually threw away his work and hung around in the bedroom. I was very anxious when I remembered the memories with Erin related to Juliana.

Erin with a watery, seductive appearance. Her affectionate look at him. A long kiss that I had with her. The words Erin asked like a joke hit my heart again.

["Have you ever thought about it? What if we had been pushed without magic? Well, I don't think you even looked at me."
"You could have done that's what you did. Maybe he ran away without looking back because he was scared."
"I don't think so. As much as your appearance is my cup of tea. You must have peeked."]

Roan, who was savoring memories, flashed his eyes. Appearance is taste, Come to think of it, Erin seemed to have liked his appearance since he first met him as a child.
"Is this face what will win her favor?"
He looked awkwardly into the mirror he had never seen properly. I could see my face again, which I thought was okay because I had enough silver hair, eyes, nose, and mouth, which were no different from the sign of being a descendant of the Duke of Perka.

Roan, who was seriously opening up his reflection in the mirror, touched his tingling mouth. I laughed for the first time in nearly 10 years, and my expression was very awkward.

At first, I burst into laughter with joy at miraculous things, but as time went by, I started to come back with a hard original expression, so I was in trouble. Roan smiled at Erin, saying, "Don't be scared," and looked at the mirror.

'Damn it, you're like a con man trying to seduce a child.'
A deep sigh came to me. I can't believe that Erin is avoiding me whenever I smile.

Roan stared at himself in the mirror and clenched his fist nervously. Well, it's a semi-forced possession of Erin. However, the future was the key.

As before, she was neither a prisoner who could be forced to marry nor had no home to return to. She seemed to find a chance to run away at any time, pretending to obey her.

The current Erin is much different from the 'past'. Perhaps because I grew up with a lot of love from my mother, I was more confident and on the contrary, more naive.

And Roan has also changed. While Roan is more pessimistic and cold-hearted than before, he's trying to focus on love.
    'Now is the beginning.'

He looked in the mirror, determined, and smiled again, but still his eyes seemed to rot with a strange expression. It was even embarrassing because I had never mixed more than three words with a woman in nearly 10 years.
At this point, I was envious of myself who was under the spell, who succeeded in marrying her a month after hanging on.
    'No, there's nothing I can't do.'

What did Sei do? To make her wish come true, I want her to be truly loved.
Just as you have changed to what you want, you can still do it like that. Let's leave it as the last chance to hang on to your knees. Out of his mind, he had proposed various kinds of gifts.

    "Then first, the gift."
If Erin is burdened, there is also a good excuse to return the favor. Yeah, this is it. Naturally and emotionally so that she doesn't panic.

Roan waved the bell and called the butler and ordered without looking.
"Get as much jewelry as you can. Especially all the green gems."

"Okay, but I'm sorry, but where are you going to go if it"
The butler who has brought him since he was a child rarely asks twice, but he is tactless today. Roan pointed his finger out the window and stirred.
    "Everything you see."

Somehow another day passed at the Duke's castle. Erin woke up in the morning, locked herself in her bedroom, calmly, I tried to organize my thoughts. I was still tired when I walked around the market on the road led by the Duke, feeling very nervous about the city tour until late yesterday.

Contrary to the harsh rumors about the duke heard in faraway countries, there was little fear in the eyes of the people here. Rather, there was a sign of awe and worship for the owner of the territory.

Considering that, the duke seemed like a male lead in a romance novel he read with his mother. He was a handsome, rich, and respected ruler. I can't believe a man like that proposed to her.
    'This is a dream situation.'

Erin introduced herself to the female lead in the novel. Then he shook his head. Her reality was a bit strange for a romantic romance novel.

The male protagonist in the novel is cold to the female protagonist at first, but soon becomes very dedicated in love as he gets to know her well.
He was already in love before he even met, or he said she was not the only one who knew the main character well. As soon as we met, we didn't even say, 'You are already my wife.' The duke of reality is blood-crazed flesh. I'm glad it wasn't a human being, but it was very strange that I was crazy about "marriage."

'Mom, is it really okay for the Duke to be my husband?

When Lil's days came to this, Erin thought it was a matter to think about even a little bit. My mom asked me to consider only three things as my husband's requirement. Be nice to me, be diligent in my job, and be everything for me.
'It's too much to run away right now, so let's take a look at this and that.'

Erin consoled herself that she thought she was too optimistic, but had no choice but to do so. There was no emergency because the Duke promised to take care of his mother's grave for the time being.
'As long as the Duke is a good man!'

Following the knock and knock, Mary came in and helped Erin's leader as if it were natural. "You don't have to help me with anything simple."

When Erin, who was embarrassed by the gentle maid's appreciation and smallness, spoke, Mary said,
"Don't thank me or feel pressured at all. It's my job. I have to pay for my free salary." 'Free?'
"It's all my job to keep this room. You must be the owner of this room."
    ".... The owner? Me?"
    " Please tell me, miss."

When Erin asked suspiciously, Mary, who was brushing her generous hair, shook her head politely. SHe meant that she would not answer any more if she did not speak informally. When Erin reluctantly answered yes, Mary continued, turning her hair up beautifully.

"Your Highness brought you here. Apart from anything else, you're good enough to make him laugh."
    "Well, what's the Duke like?"

When asked carefully about the Duke, Mary told him as much as she knew.
"Your Highness is very fair and outstanding. "There is no conflict of interest within the duchy, especially because you do not favor anyone or keep them close to you."

Mary's conclusion was that the Duke had a lonely personality and only knew work, perhaps because his parents lost him early in his childhood.
"But the Duke said, Why would I..."

When Erin peeked at the end of her speech, Mary answered with a shoulder-to-shoulder. "I don't know why you're so special to you. But I heard that it's enough time to fall in love for just three count. One, eye contact, two, eye contact, three, talking."

Erin opened her eyes wide and clapped while listening.
"Huh? I know that! Four, the conversation on the bed is a struggle of love!"
Mary also clapped face to face with joy and shouted the title of the romance novel at the same time as Erin.

"Your eyes are a period, your lips are a question mark!"
When I met a reader of the novel who secretly read it under my mother's bed, Erin grabbed Mary and chatted for a long time. I was so happy that I forgot about the Duke for a moment.
The pretty and elegant maid surprisingly boasted a vast knowledge of romance novels. When Erin asked me how I had seen so many expensive and precious books while admiring me, Mary pointed carefully to the large closet attached to the bedroom.

"There's a lot in there. Now that you're the owner of this room, you should know." "Huh? Wasn't it a closet?"
    "There's a separate dress room."
"Why do you have a book over there?"
"... It's big. He told me to fill it up with books of that kind indefinitely."
Instead of answering, Mary, who had been coughing a lot awkwardly, turned her eyes to the ceiling, whispering. The subject was omitted, but it was obvious who could give Mary a command.
Oh, my God! Erin was so shocked that she quickly covered her mouth with her hands. Did the Duke have such a hobby?! It's so deep that you can see the precision of hiding it in an empty women's room!

"I've never seen you read it!"
I quickly added as if I had remembered Mary, but I was late. Why are you filling up the books that you don't want to read? Erin shook her head.
Oh, no. Your actions and lines made me cringe differently, and I guess it was because you were a romance maniac. That's why it's so ridiculous. Oh, I see. Oh...

The romance novel did not suit the Duke, who said he was a messenger on the sea, but on the other hand, I understood how it was. I was shocked by the unbelievable thing, but Erin's mind became a little comfortable because he seemed to have found the reason why the duke was strange.

Erin, who finished grooming Mary, came out to look around the castle, and a man who introduced himself as Lawrence Regil in the hallway on the first floor blocked her. And he spoke in a hurry, unlike a polite greeting.

"Lady, you can't call me Duke in your safety. He's either maneuvering or transferring."

The aide's expression showed signs of nervousness, so I thought it was very urgent. Mary said, "Your aide is strict about manners." I whispered very quietly so that she could only hear it. Erin, who was surprised, blinked without knowing English, realized his advice two late and nodded.

"Oh, I didn't know. Duke- No, I've never seen you before. I see, I'll be careful with the title from now on."
Regil's expression became somewhat relaxed as if he had been depressed by her answer.
He politely stuck out the paper he was holding.
"If you have time, could you please write down your full name, birthplace, nationality, and date of birth? I need to fill out an entry form."
    'Yes.'
    'Whose way, how dare you.'

Erin looked into the paper his aide put out, and suddenly a low voice fell over his head. When they were both surprised and looked up, they immediately saw when they showed up.
Behind him, a duke with his arms crossed was staring fiercely at his aide.

"If you have anything to ask Erin, I ask."
I see an aide who shook his body slightly when he made eye contact with him, quickly answered and stepped back. The duke, who was looking at him, changed his face and asked Erin softly, smiling.
"I heard you had a quick breakfast, how about a luncheon in the garden? It's a lovely day today.'
'I'm fine. Well, but the Duke- No, Your Highness."
"Your Highness? Why are you calling me that all of a sudden? Did that scrupulous guy make you do it?"

The Duke's eyes became very fierce, pointing to the assistant officer, who was slowly retreating despite his smile.
Erin, who was about to answer yes casually, shook his head diagonally because he felt like he was snitching. The Duke's attitude toward me seems to have become brighter than yesterday, but the gap between the coldness and the coldness in his tone was too great.

When Erin tried to back away from him, the Duke frowned and said, "I'm going to close my mouth."
    "You can call me Roan"
    Frustrated, Erin asked reflexively.
"Is Roan a different title from the Duke?"
    "It's my name."
    "Name?"
Erin never thought the duke would ask him to call his name. When her face turned red with a childlike mistake, she added, smirking.
"You are the only person in the world who calls my name. What do you think?"

What do you think, I was very embarrassed. Erin replied stutteringly.
"Honey, I'm a madman, Duke. No, Your Grace. No, um..."
I tried to call the newly learned title, but I just remembered that the duke had asked me to call his name, so Erin stopped talking embarrassingly. His name just came out of my mouth. However, the Duke smiled as if it was not a big deal and led her out of the house and asked her affectionately.

"Is there a nickname you want?"
    "Me?"
"I don't ask other people for their opinions. I'm only asking you."
Oh, my. Why are you so affectionate today? Erin looked at his eyes and thought he shouldn't stop thinking. He was a lover of romance novels. Is the level of affection different because he's an expert?

Erin quickly shook her head to break her imagination as she recalled him reading a romance novel while sitting in her bedroom. Then, he answered quickly, as his eyes met with the peacock who looked at him as if he was wondering.
    "I just like the name."
    "You didn't have a nickname?"
"No, I had a pet name for you."
"Did you hate being called a pet?"
"No, that's good. It feels special."
"Good to hear that you're special. Then why don't I call you by your nickname?"
    "I just like my name."

The Duke frowned and stared at her as if he was dissatisfied.
"You said pet names are special."
Erin felt pressured. If he didn't give me any nicknames, I thought he would look at me constantly.
    "Please sing as you wish."
    "Call me Roan."
'Yes, I don't mind if you call me randomly.'
'I can't do that. I think you'd look good with a cute little bird. How about a chick or a canary?"

A small bird, it was cheesy just to hear it. If she didn't refuse here, she would have to be a yellow bird right away.

Erin thought a four-legged furry animal would suit him better than a bird. However, I couldn't help but agree with the stinging eyes of the Duke. She found a compromise on her own and replied.
"If it's a bird, well, I'm a lark. It was a bird that my mom liked. I'll take that--"
    "What?"

The Duke, who was looking at her with his head tilted, suddenly stopped. Erin looked back at him, embarrassed and greatly changed. Seeing the shape of his mouth shaking, I felt like I said something I should never say. A bad memory for the lark? You have such a bad memory for such a small bird.

Erin looked at him in disbelief, muttering as if he had unexpectedly admired the duke who softened his expression.
    "Oh, lark. As expected.'
'If you don't like it, I'll go with something else!'
'No, I'm admiring your fate. The lark's nest must have been me after all. When I see you coming back to me."

This time, Erin shook his mouth. How could you say such a cheesy thing so seriously? Is it special because you're a romance maniac?

Erin was too burdened by the Duke's eyes looking at him as if he were dazzling. But for a long time, he's been looked at her with sparkling eyes and didn't let go of his eyes.

There seemed to be an unknown misunderstanding. Roan examined Erin sitting across the table, rubbing his fingertips against the wrinkles in his forehead that deepened by itself.
She had a subtle look on her face, peeping at him since earlier. I thought it was smiling, but I hated it quickly, and when I asked what I was thinking, my face turned red.

I'm very glad that the look on my face became softer than before, but I also felt strangely chilly somewhere. I wondered what Erin was thinking about himself, but Roan tried to suppress the question. It was most important to approach her naturally and naturally.

Erin, who was looking up at what he was thinking, suddenly asked.
"May I borrow a carriage this afternoon?"
"Borrowing? Everything in this castle is yours."
"Then is it okay for me to go out?"
"Of course, you're not trapped. But where do you want to go?"
    'I want to go alone, can't I?"
    " Alone?"
Erin hurriedly waved at Roan's expression.
'I want to go to the market and find out something.'
    'It'll be easy for me.'
'I have to do it myself. There was something I wanted to do.'
    'What is it?'
Roan beckoned to bite the tableware and waited for Erin's words. It was cute to see her looking at him, chewing her lips and rolling her eyes around to choose her words. It was like a little cute bird.

A lark, Roan didn't know that the day would come when he would spit out the word with emotion. While I was searching for her, I was so emotional to see the bird singing in spring and reminisce about memories. the last month of the month
Although the memory of the lark was not his, but his magic.

Unexpectedly, however, when the lark came out of Erin's mouth, Roan had to admire the "fate of fate." This was an opportunity given by heaven. Not magic, but a chance for him to have her.
Erin calmly opened her mouth. "I've been thinking deeply about it, and I'll try to follow the conditions you've mentioned if possible. But I also have a condition."

    'Conditions?'
    "Just one thing."
When Roan asked seriously, she held her left hand with her right hand and carefully straightened her index finger.

"I won't do anything you don't want me to do. But I hope you don't force me to do anything. I can't do what you're told to do." "You mean you can stand what you want to do, but you can't stand what you don't want to do? That one condition is very comprehensive."

"Yes, but that's the best answer I can give you right now."
There was little fear in Erin's eyes staring at him. Roan was thrilled by her eyes, which showed her feelings for the first time since we met. She looked submissive, but she said what she wanted to say, as if she was looking at her past.
Erin, who calmly lowered his hand over his skirt, looked at him and said clearly.
"I want to trust you. I believe you won't cheat or play with me."

"Then I'll ask you one question. Can you promise me you won't run away from me? I bet your mother."
Erin's expression was disturbed for a moment. You were going to run away from the cracks. Roan was hurt for a moment, but he tried hard to suppress her courage.

"I'll correct you for leaving me, not running away. Promise me you won't leave me without a word."
    "What's the difference then?"
'You and I have a deal.'
    "Is that so?"
"It's a trade-off between my courtship and your will."

Roan tilted his head at an angle and looked closely at her lost in thought with a serious expression.
Definitely, I thought Sofia raised Erin very well. Looking at it, she was clearly more active than before. He knows how to change his words in his favor. Roan, who was proud of how it was, smiled, and Erin, who was staring at him, nodded.

    "I think I'm at a disadvantage, but I promise. I won't run away first."
As soon as she was finished, Roan rose from his seat and reached out to her hand.
    "Okay, a deal is made."
Roan waved to her, who looked at his hands and face alternately, unaware of the English language.

    'Hold on?"
" What happens if you catch?'
'It's natural to hold on. You'll regret it if you don't catch it."

"It's natural to catch him. If I don't catch it, I'll regret it."
    "What ····· will I regret?"
    "You'll lose the world."
"Seo, you're not saying you're going to get rid of me in the world, are you?"
I thought it was going well. Roan, who was amazed at her words, was quirky.
"That's a cruel woman. I meant if you hold my hand, you'll have my world."
'I don't want that much. Just lend me the carriage."
Erin looked at him with eager eyes, but Roan ignored her wishes and held her hand first. Her heart began to beat fast when she felt her warm body temperature. He's the one who's starting to get the world.

"I asked you to lend me a carriage, but..."
"I think it's a chair with a carriage. You know how to speak."
"You're too much for a speaker."
    "What's the big deal?"
Once you sit down, you can never get up as you want. Erin looked at the Duke leaning on the other side, swallowing his words and turning away from the window.

She decided to stay in Mercia for a while. It's the same with the operation, but I have to meet Juliana. Erin decided to be positive about the situation and decided to think about what would happen in the future.
It was a car that I had thought that I could not live with my mother forever.

Given her experience of saving money by selling dolls with her mother, she thought she had a good sense of business or investment. So I decided to look around Mercia, where commerce has developed, and learn from this opportunity. It would be good to spend time and distance yourself from the peacock.

I'm excited about the view of the commercial city spreading out the window. It was also good to imagine shops and markets that were so wide that there was no end in sight, countless people passing through them, the things they exchanged and the stories involved.

'I'm going to pretend to buy souvenirs and look around alone. I met a guy named Cayenne Zebahun, and I met Auntie Dole.'

Erin thought about how to get up from the chair, which can speak and gives a stinging look.
'Did you hear that I made money by selling my mom's doll?'
'Yes, you said it was great.'
'I'd actually like to do that.'
'Okay, then I'll give you the money and the building, so feel free to do it."

When Erin brought it up, the Duke responded affectionately but without hesitation. Until just now, it was contrary to the attitude of being an excessive guardian of old women. Why isn't the Duke in the middle? Is this also a side effect of romance novels?

She refused immediately because she was frightened.
"All you have to do is lend me a carriage." 'I'm paying you back.'
    'Just a carriage for now.'
    "You want to be alone.'
"We'll see what we do, and then we'll see what we'll see."
"You want to be alone. Let's go to work and meet later."

When he suddenly answered me in a gentle manner, I became rather anxious. When Erin looked suspiciously, the Duke smiled and strengthened his words.
"I trust you as much as you want to trust me. Yeah, where can I drop you off?" "Emerald's. I made some money by investing in that business before. If it's possible here, well, why do you look at it like that?"
Emerald business, yes. The muttered duke revealed his teeth and smiled brightly.
'Oh, you were my precious customer.' 'Customer?'
'I'll show you myself if you're in the Emerald world.'
    'It's okay, I'm alone.'
"No, it's my business motto to take care of each customer."
    "What? Your business?"
    "It's mine, that emerald merchant."

Erin didn't understand what he said right away, but she was surprised late and pointed at me without realizing it.
'Gee, what did you just say?'
'It's mine. He's just an investor on the outside. You are the only one in the world who knows that I am the owner."
"No! Don't tell me such a huge secret!"
The embarrassed and frightened Erin stopped covering her ears and shook her head.
Emerald was a huge commercial power that encompassed the world. It was so huge that there was a rumor that the commercial country itself could survive buying a country.

As such, rumors have been circulating about the owner of the Emerald World. There were already several she heard. I heard that an aristocrat from Sadaguk was the owner, but he was seriously burned in an accident and hid his face. I heard that he hides his identity as much as possible because he is a pervert who buys and enjoys young women with money he earns.

But what? The Duke is the master? I've been hiding it so far that no one knows why she's so easy talking? Erin was the scariest about that.
The Duke caught her wrist lightly and whispered as if to tease her.

"Why am I so surprised? You'd know a bigger secret."
    'What is it?'
When Erin, who had shrunk, whispered face to face, the Duke tilted his head and answered with a low voice.
"The fact that you married me. So Sangguk's name was Emerald. My praise to your eyes."

When the astounded Erin looked at him with his mouth and eyes round, the Duke muttered as if it were not a big deal.
"But it was cheesy, but it's very catchy today. Is it because you met your real master?"
Erin was rude enough to cover her ears and mumbled aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. Listening to him more seemed to strain her fragile heart.

"If you use our business, we'll give you unlimited benefits and information. Of course, even if you don't use it, it's special!"
Erin was eyeing a middle-aged, exotic-looking man who was general manager, but he didn't listen to him properly.

Erin sneaked away as the staff waiting for my teacup to be empty next to her and the other staff holding a piece of paper gave a curious look.
As promised, the duke took him to the office of the merchant and walked away. The problem was that he called the general manager himself and introduced her as a "very valuable guest."

As soon as the general manager saw the duke, he could not hide his embarrassment. However, after the Duke had gone, the manager, who had called all the staff to greet Erin, seemed gradually to return to his senses, giving her a lengthy business and product description.

On the contrary, Erin's surprise still hasn't calmed down because of the Duke's "special emerald." In addition, the remaining rationales began to be confused as huge amounts of money and unknown economic terms were poured into the market.
'I'm just a simple commoner from the mountains. Why is this happening?'

Erin thought about what was wrong with the words she didn't know. It's just that she's a businessman.
I was just trying to find a job if I had a chance. The reason why I told the Duke was not to ask for such vast help, but to not disturb him because he wanted to do something small personally.

The general manager advised her, rubbing her hands without knowing her speed. "Since you are a valued guest under air operations, I will give you valuable information that only a few know. Invest in emeralds!"

"Emerald?" Erin was surprised at the word that shocked her heart. The general manager added with a big smile that looked pretentious with eye contact.
"Hahaha, I don't mean metaphorically to invest in my own business. Of course, it's not completely wrong!

His empty laughter roared in the room. Feeling burdened, she had no choice but to laugh awkwardly. The general manager, who was laughing for a long time, looked serious and whispered quietly.

"A rich jolbu is crazy about emeralds and buying them at random. The price will go up gradually. I wouldn't do such a useless thing, but I don't know what rich people think."

Far from investing in jewelry, she never bought a boat to return home underwater. But Erin, who couldn't bear to say it, muttered, "Oh, such high-quality information!" and pretended to admire it. The general manager, who shone his eyes as if satisfied with her response, rubbed his hands and asked for it.

'Lady, can you tell the Duke about our special services?'
    'Special services?'
" Are you still short of them?'
    'No, they're plenty!'
I think I remember hearing that this and that are benefits only for her, but I already forgot because it was so long and colorful. She nodded awkwardly, and the general manager confessed.

"I'd like to stop receiving special thanks under the air force. Hahaha, but I don't know if you're gonna get stabbed. No, but how can there be no dust when you shake it off?"
Is there a corner of being stabbed or not? Since earlier, Erin has been confused by his contradictory remarks. The general manager's words were unnecessarily lengthy and unexpectedly straightforward. The prejudice that anyone in such a position as to lead such a huge commercial country would be a thorough merchant has been broken.

It was also surprising that he knew the duke only as an investor in his position. We don't know whether the duke is shrewd or this man is sloppy. Or are you just looking at me like you don't know?
Erin, who was given generous treatment and asked too much favors, left the world in a daze. She was embarrassed to see dozens of people who followed her to the front of the carriage and had their heads tightened.

Erin, who was looking at the nice building regretfully, saying she could not come again when the carriage departed, quickly closed the window when she ran into the eyes of the general manager's expectation.

"You said Cayenne Zebahun, didn't you?"
Erin parked a carriage at the entrance of the alley and looked around the streets of similar-looking large mansions.

    [John Naritam Street, 44th Street]

When I checked the address I memorized several times and knocked on the front door, I soon found an elderly butler. When she named her, the butler politely led her to the living room, saying she was waiting. Soon after, with a loud bang, Kien ran down the stairs on the second floor with blond hair.

"Lady Otia! I waited every day just in case you found me."
He was still in his free-spirited outfit with a handsome look that opened his eyes and a couple of shirt buttons.
Cayenne, who welcomed her for a long time, looked at Erin, who was single and drinking tea from the butler. Erin opened her eyes wide in surprise after taking a sip of tea. "Uh, this is my aunt's car!"
"Yes, it's Juliana's gift. I thought beauty was extraordinary, but the keen sense resembles Madame."

Honey fell from the way he praised her with a smile with his eyes bent as if he were happy. Did the men in Mercia give too much praise to women? Erin, who had already become resistant to many experiences, asked, listening to his praise.

    "But where's my aunt?"
But suddenly, Kien shook his hand in front of her and opened his nose.
"Oh, Miss Otia smells very good. It smells similar to Madame's, but it's more fragrant and refreshing."
He leaned toward her and smelled it, so Erin was surprised and pulled back.
    "Scent?"
"I'm sorry, it's such a fascinating scent that I've made an impolite mistake. I forgot to ask for your understanding because women tend to treat me comfortably."

No matter how much I ask for your understanding, I won't let you smell it. Erin looked at him for a moment, wary of him, and soon became strong. My aunt will ask for her. He would be a good person. She wanted to believe so.

Erin pretended to be drinking tea and carefully asked again.
"Do you know where my aunt went?"
"Madam said he had something urgent to look into and left. I think you said you were going to look into Taro's occupancy." "Tarro?"
"Yes, Madam is a very good tarot expert. I'm having difficulty getting permission to serve as a Tarot teacher."
"Is your aunt a Tarot expert?"
Erin opened her eyes wide at the unexpected words. I thought he was wandering from place to place in search of precious herbs, but Tarotani was unexpected. The Duke's call of her as a witch suddenly passed through his memory.
"Didn't you know? He's such a mysterious person. It's hard to know everything about him."
Cayenne hesitated for a while and added shyly.
"You read Tarot's fortune-telling well, so sometimes you see through my shameful inner self."
Why are you blushing in front of strangers because you're ashamed? In many ways, when Erin, who was embarrassed, put down the car and looked around, Cayenne, who coughed in vain, finally said the point.

"Madam said he'd call me as soon as he gets a seat. Where should I give you the announcement?"
Erin was lost in thought for a while and then answered.
"I have no place to live because of circumstances. Can I come and check often for a while?"
"Are you staying at the Duke's? I was very surprised to see you with the Duke."
"Well, that happened. I'd like to tell my aunt myself."
Cayenne's face, which had been shining warmly, was briefly shaded. After a moment of thought, he offered in a heavier tone than ever.
"I want to take good care of Lady as requested by Madame. And if there's a beautiful woman, If you're in trouble, of course you should protect yourself as a man."

He didn't ask directly about the engagement that the duke mentioned, but he seemed to ask back if it was okay, so Erin was embarrassed and chose the horse.

It is true that he was forced to stay at the Duke's castle, but he was hesitant to tell anyone he didn't even know about it. Still, it was a moment when I thought about expressing my situation because my aunt was a believer.
The front door rang loudly. I thought the butler who rushed out was opening the door, and then I heard the woman's sharp words.

"I heard a young woman came to see you. Don't try to hide it from me!"
A woman in a red-haired and colorful dress shook off the butler's dissuasion and stormed into the living room.
    "Julia!"
Cayenne stood up and was about to greet, but the red hair was faster. She's standing in front of Erin. I snorted with dirt to the tips of my toes.
"Oh, you must be a precious girl this time. It's all designer work from head to toe." 'What?'
"But you're not the only one who thinks you're special to this man, are you?"
When the woman pointed at him in front of his nose, Erin, who was surprised, faltered back.
"Misunderstanding, Julia. This is Madame's niece, who I promised to take care of--" Cayenne quickly tried to explain, blocking the front of the redhead. But she screamed without even pretending to hear it.

"My nephew? Why do you care about other people's nephews? Please don't give up the shriek that every woman in the world needs your help! I'm just trying to take advantage of you!"
'Misunderstand, Julia. And the truth is, you took the most of my money. Ugh!"

Cayenne's head, who was hit hard on the cheek with a shrill sound of left hand and a sharp rupture, turned.
Erin, who almost screamed, hurriedly closed her mouth with her hands and stepped out of the sofa.
Being caught in an out of the blue fight, she looked around and made eye contact with the butler standing at the entrance. He came up as if he had waited and whispered only his lips.

"There must be some misunderstanding between you two. In this situation, Lady should leave now."
Erin nodded gladly and headed quickly to the door with his guidance.

"Please find me anytime! I'm fine! Today's work is just a brief shower!"
When Cayenne, who was wrapped around his cheek, shouted loudly to Erin, he heard a series of red hair biting.
"Downpour? When did you say I was morning dew? What about you? If it's a golden bee, there's a lot of gold, or I'm just going to go after the flowers and be a bee."

The quick-witted butler quickly closed the door, so Erin was able to get out of the mansion safely.
She sighed as she walked fast to the carriage. When I thought he was too kind, a man named Cayenne seemed to have a complicated relationship with women. Still, my aunt would have asked me to do it because I was not a bad person, but I still didn't think I was a person to get close to.

Why are all the men in Mercia so weird? I think the more handsome you are, the more strange you are, but I don't think it's all like that.
    "Where should I take you?'
    'I'll be right back.'
Erin replied to the horseman who opened the door politely and coughed in vain because she felt awkward. It was very strange to say that I should go directly because it was not my house or lodging, even though it was the same as being watched by others.

"Then I will go to the port first as your order."
The carriage stopped near the port's dock where the ships were anchored. Erin got out of the carriage, breathed in the sea breeze, and looked in the direction the horseman pointed. There was a duke and a group surrounding him.

Aside from his tall height, unique tan hair knife, and his beautiful appearance, he looked like a born aristocrat with a thoroughly straight posture and arrogant atmosphere. Erin has never seen anyone as strong as that man. "Why is such a great person doing this to me?" And why does he look so desolate? Erin held his breath, observing the duke as if he had stolen it. I couldn't stop looking at him because he wasn't much different from when I first saw him on the ship. People were groveling and explaining, but the duke, who only looked at the distant sea without pretending to hear, only showed signs of boredom. At first glance, he even looked empty. But he suddenly turned his head as if he felt Erin's eyes. As soon as his eyes met her in the air, his expression, which seemed as cold as solid iron, cracked. It was a sudden and obvious change in expression as if you could hear a crackling sound.

The Duke, who came running beforehand, stopped a few steps ahead and asked with a big smile.
"Did I make you wait?" Erin was embarrassed by him, who changed the mood completely as if he had taken off his mask as soon as he saw him. Even those who followed hurriedly opened their eyes wide at the Duke. She pretended to give them a look, slowly making eye contact with the peacock and shaking her head.
    'No, I just got here.'
'Yes, thank God. I was about to go back, too." His face was full of bright smiles as he took his breath away and swept up his hair from the wind. It was a joy only revealed to her. The gap between the expressionless face I just saw was so big that Erin stared blankly at his face. I felt subtle because I felt like I had become a huge person who changed him like that. "Why are you looking at me like that? Do I have something on my face?" "Yes."
"I can't see it, so you can take it off."
"I don't think I can do it." You can't make a face. As Erin swallowed his horse, the Duke, who squinted his eyes, smiled out and reached out his hand.
"Gaji, it's going to be cold when the sun sets." While leading her with the carriage, the Duke stroked my face with his one remaining hand. When he saw his skin turning red, which had been struggling to take off the invisible "something," Erin was embarrassed and turned his eyes slightly. "Yes, did you get a lot of information you wanted from the world?" the Duke asked, tilting his head as the carriage departed. Though she could hardly understand the difficult term, she turned around and answered.
"I'll give you investment information. Invest in emeralds. Some old man is crazy about emeralds and he's going to go up in price."
"Well, where the hell are they going to use the uneaten jewelry? There are so many strange people in Mercia. Hmm."

Erin almost mentioned the Duke, but stopped talking. For some reason, the Duke, who paused for a while, frowned harshly and gritted his teeth. Along with the word "weird crazy pawn," it was also like a low-key swearing in his mouth. Don't tell me you're not talking about me. When Erin was startled, he took a deep breath and said slowly with his gums.
"I think the general manager is stupid, but he's surprisingly good." Erin nodded in a surprise.
'He was a very unique person.' 'So I put him in that position. If you're smart, you'll figure out who's the owner. I've been hiding a lot of things because I'm greedy for money. So I sat down, but I think I'm going to change my mind." Erin hesitated for a moment and carefully brought up his usual words.

"Your Highness, I'm saying that there are people who fit in every position. I'm very simple and ordinary. I'm from a mountain village, educated by my mother and studied alone, and I've only touched dozens of gold coins."
"Yes, I'm glad you grew up well."

"I really want to tell you that today is not enough for me."The duke, who was pointing at her forehead with his fingertips, turned his head at an angle and looked at her seriously. "I've only introduced you to listen to advice, but it's too much?"
"I was originally in a position that I wouldn't be able to meet. In addition, I am not good enough to be a duchess. I know my place well, and I don't want a life full of minutes," asked the Duke, who stared at her slowly as if he was trying to understand what she meant.
"Fountain, what kind of life did you dream of?"
"A normal, sincere life." All I ever wanted to do is to make a loving family and live a small life while enjoying what I can do." The Duke nodded heavily while looking at her expression.
"Me too. It's just my dream to make a family with my wife and live a long, healthy life. I'm desperate."
    "Desperate?"
    "What's wrong with me?"
"That little thing was very difficult for me. Until recently, I almost gave up because it was impossible."It was a monotonous tone, but it was so distorted that his face looked painful. Erin was greatly embarrassed while looking at his eyes as to whether his meaning was well conveyed well. However, the Duke smiled as if he had never done so.
'Finally we have something in common.' 'What?' 'I wish for a long and prosperous life with my family.' Pain, you must have misread it. Erin laughed with relief at his laughter. The duke, who breathed heavily in eye contact with her, quickly spit out his words without an accent. "I want to live a long life in a comfortable nest with a bell, moon, bird. They lay a lot of eggs, and they're going to die." They lay eggs? Erin is surprised to see my ears at the moment

"I'll cancel the egg." "That's a relief." Erin, who was holding his breath in embarrassment, quickly nodded and agreed. 'Curses are canceled.' 'That's a relief, too."Isn't Oh Soon Soon Soon good?"Yes, of course. I like it very much because it's an ordinary expression."
"Oh, I've never heard such a simple word before." The mouth of the muttering duke, squinting his eyes and staring at the wall of the carriage behind her, was still trembling. He looked tired of what he said.

If you don't like it, why do you have to overdo it? Is this also a side effect of romance novel addiction? When Erin, who couldn't understand, looked closely, the Duke said firmly, touching his mouth.

"I understand what you mean. I know well that you don't fit in the box. I just need to say this. You did pretty well in your own way."
'You''I'll correct myself to make it.' 'I'm sorry, but it's your misunderstanding.' 'Then why don't you start with what you want?' You said you wanted to learn commercial work, so let's start with that." 'Start?' 'Learn directly from the owner of the highest office.' You should be honored." His expression of raising one eyebrow and the other corners of his mouth looked very mean for a moment. What is it, Erin instinctively got goosebumps and rubbed his arms and shook his head saying no. However, the Duke was already folding his fingers and calculating something, completely indifferent.

"How long did it take? You're good at memorizing, but you're good at applying it. I was good at math, usually language, except history and art."

How can I know so well about her strengths and weaknesses? "Now I know, but it was quite fun," whispered the Duke, leaning toward her as if he was telling her a secret. I hate to hear secrets from him, but I won the curiosity. I regretted it soon after hearing it. "Teaching. It was so cute how he mumbled that he was overwhelmed."
    "..."
"I wanted to make him do more if he begged me to stop with his biting eyes." I was in trouble because I wanted to make him do it even though I wasn't that tough." Erin felt awkward listening and was bitten away from him. I was afraid to ask who I taught. It was perfect to misunderstand that you enjoyed the rest of the pain. I don't think it's a misunderstanding.

In an ominous foreboding, she swept her creepy arms wildly. Until the peacock takes off my jacket, asking if it's cold.

Ominous foreboding became a reality after a few hours. The Duke was really driven. But why should I be pushed back by that drive? Erin opened her mouth when she saw the books and documents that the servants were constantly carrying. In a moment, all kinds of books piled up on the bedroom table. As the servants stepped away, the Duke came in and picked out some books and said.
"I wish I could read these books out in a week. I'm going to take a test."
It sounded like a bolt out of the blue. Erin mumbled in tears.
'Test? I can't even finish many books in a week.'
'You can do it. I know very well."
How can you be so sure that you know me better than I do? Erin looked at him unfairly, but the duke smiled with anticipated eyes.

    "... "
"Don't you want to learn the theory first? Then shall we get right into practice? The general manager is starting to notice, and you who know all the facts are there."
    'No!'
'Right? You want to learn the basics firmly. Don't you think so?"
Learning is one thing. The Duke's face was full of laughter, but his blue eyes felt a knife-like will. Feeling like there was no place to retreat, Erin tried to the fullest extent possible.
"......but I didn't want your help like this."
    " Not help."
"It's not about using my money or position, it's only about your will."
"But I still have to spend your time to take the test."

    "Well, if you say so..."
"Are you sure you want to learn to work?" "Yes."
"I just want you to answer exactly if you're going to.""
Rebellion disappeared under his flag before he even tried. I want to learn how to work, and it's a great opportunity. But it felt like she was caught up... and as she faltered, the Duke with a smile around her mouth wriggled her eyebrows and pressed them. "Answer?"
"......yes." Erin answered reluctantly while clapping her lips, and the Duke shook his shoulders and laughed wildly.
'Long time no see, how you feel.'
'I'm glad you're happy." When she answered with a flick of books,

    " It's just a side benefit there."
'What do you mean by a side benefit?' 'Small fun, but don't overdo it. We have a lot of time ahead of us."
"We're taking the test in a week, so we have a lot of time?"
"If you can't do it, you just have to fail the test. You don't have to feel pressured at all.' 'I feel pressured. It's embarrassing to fall.'
    'I know.'
    'What?'
He left the room without answering properly to hold back his laughter. Erin looked at the piles of books in the room and was speechless for a while.
"Why? I'm not unfamiliar with this pressure." After a long sigh, Erin frowned and picked up the thinnest-looking book.

    "I'm not a giant."
From the title of the book, I already felt like I was hitting her in the back of the head.

    ***

    "Lady, take a rest."
Mary gave up her tea and talked to her affectionately. Erin shook her head, trying to put even one more in her head.
"No. I think something terrible will happen if I fail the test."
She sipped the tea while memorizing difficult terms while saying, "Thank you, Cha."
Mary, who was watching the scene, chatted in a funny voice.
"I'm so sorry to hear that you're busy, but I'm so happy. The castle seems like a place where people live now.'
    'Is that so?'

"The castle used to be too quiet. Your majesty was so quiet that we also refrained from saying unnecessary things."
Erin, who had kept her eyes on the book, blinked and looked back at Mary.
"Doesn't it bother you to have me? Is it okay to show up and use this room?"
"If you like it, we like it all."
" I'm sorry you looked troubled," Erin looked down. I've felt it for a long time, but the people of Castle were strangely friendly to her. I don't think she'd like to change her position if it's a match without such measures. The door opened at the same time as the knock was heard. The Duke stood at the door and gestured at Erin.
'I have a place to go.'
    'Where are you going?'
'Studying is the best thing to do in the library.'
    "It's quiet here, too."
"No, I still have some material that I can't get in and out of my way-- hmm, I'd like to show you more than that."

"I had a cough and a half-baked my words, but I've already understood his intentions. Erin looked suspiciously, but the duke seemed not to back down until she followed him. Hesitatingly, Erin picked up the book she was reading and got up from her seat. One thing that I realized for sure about him was that the Duke would do what he decided to do someday. It was better to finish it quickly than a matter of time. The Duke, who received her book, asked affectionately.
"Isn't it too much to study alone? Ask me questions if you don't know. My office is over there."
He pointed across the central stairway, and Erin shook his head coldly.
"You're busy," the duke was still awkward, but she heard through Mary that he woke up early in the morning and went to bed late.
Every time Erin saw him, the Duke was always busy accompanied by his aides and others.
I saw an aide to Regil holding gold documents anxiously pacing downstairs, found the two, and disappeared with a resigned look.

The duke smiled and responded in a friendly way, pretending not to see his aide. 'You've been busy enough so far.' 'I don't think I should disturb you.'
'You're stubborn. Is it because you have curly hair?"
"Your Highness doesn't have curly hair."
    "Are you saying I'm stubborn?"
"I'm strong-willed." Erin stopped walking and looked up at him. The Duke's face with his chin up looked very stubborn, as if he had raised one eyebrow and asked him to say more. She shook her head, following the resigned look of the aide she had just seen. "I'll say yes."
"There's no such thing as that. That's what it is."
Well, I remember being scolded by my mom."
"Oh, my God, you must have been hit a lot. You're so stupid."
Wow, seriously. Erin specialized in her chest, killing her lips in a fit of resentment. The duke held her hand lightly and teased her.
"My parents died early, so I didn't have anyone to scold them. You can scold me as much as you want."
"Well, it sounds strange to me that you can scold me."
    "Come on, will you try?"
The Duke even bowed his head at the end of his sentence, telling me to hit him with a honey chestnut.
"It's okay, I don't want to be guilty of blasphemy for such a trivial thing."
When the frightened Erin waved her hand, he smiled and shrugged.
"Now that you're treating me like this, I feel like you. My heart is full."
    'How did I treat you?'
    'Cutely retorted.'
"I'm sorry if I was rude."
"Don't apologize. I'm losing my energy. I hope you'll continue to do that."
    "It's strange that you're rude."
"Let's just say it's only for you."
"You just said it's not like that. It's strange for you." Erin, who unknowingly retorted when Ulcull came up, looked at his eyes belatedly. However, the duke did not care at all and smiled loudly, leaning back to his waist as if he were having fun. She looked around in embarrassment. The butler standing at the end of the hall saw him and hardened his mouth wide open.
"You look like a different person when you smile like this."
I was embarrassed because his laughter rang loudly in the hallway, but I didn't feel bad about making him laugh. His blue eyes looked sky blue through his bent eyes.
It was the color of the spring sea that looked warm as if it had sunlight.

The library was incomparably larger than what Erin had ever seen. Instead of two-story ceilings and walls, the bookshelves were huge. The number of books I was hooked on was so high that I couldn't even count them all. On one side, there was a small room with a long sofa and a table cutely laid. The duke, who followed her gaze and looked inside, explained it.
"We've made the renovations to be more cozy and stealthy." In admiration, Erin, looking around the library, paused to look back at him.
"Does the library need to be secretive?"
"I didn't know either, but who made me realize that 'who' is who and every time I say it, it seems fun."
It sounded like a lark, too. It was mainly when I talked about the past with Erin, but now I'm a little suspicious.
"Maybe she didn't have to be secretive with the duke?"
    'By any chance...?
Erin suspected his submissive innocence, but the Duke stood and waited until she sat down.

After placing the book in front of her, the Duke sat next to her with his elbows folded and stared. Of course, the book couldn't be seen because of his hot eyes. From this perspective, I don't think there's any other pure heart. Erin looked around the bookshelf and asked.
"What kind of books do you usually read?"
"I used to read books about tactics and weapons, and nowadays I usually read books about economics."
The books that the Duke answered were very far from romance novels. He looked so calm that he couldn't bring up the "hobby" of his closet. Don't you think she hasn't realized that she might know about hobbies yet? No matter how hard I think about it, it was not normal to stack romance books in the closet. As Erin was lost in thought, the Duke, who tilted his head at an angle, pointed toward the bookshelf with a chin-jaw.
"There are books up there that help you study. "
    "..."
"You have to climb up the ladder. You're afraid of heights, aren't you?"
I want to see Erin get on the ladder and get scared. It was confusing whether he was asking him to bring it out or not. She stared at the duke again. Rather than whispering sweetly like honey in an awkward tone, the way he made fun of me was much more natural. I think this is his original personality.
"I can take it out by myself. I lived in the mountains, so I climbed a lot of trees."
When Erin grumbled, the duke replied with a smile and a polite way of reading.
    'My lark is gallant?'
'Of course, I'll fly to my wings if I don't want to.'
When I was embarrassed by the cheesy title, I sneaked away from my eyes and replied, and the Duke giggled and laughed out of place.
"Little talk less? You're so good at teasing and laughing.'
Erin, who recalled Mary's words, peeped at her, pretending to give her eyes to the book. Put your elbows on her.
I ran into the way he looked at me, so I quickly turned to the book.

As if melted by his hot gaze, the letters kept smudging black.
'There are so many ways to break the neckbone.'
A cold voice unimpressedly criticized her. Then he pushed his back to climb such a high ladder. You must have seen it fall. You're mean. You don't care if I get hurt? My heart ached. Erin sniffed around the noisy heart with a feeling of sorrow.
"What's wrong? Is it because the seat is uncomfortable? Do you want me to take you to your bedroom?"
A familiar voice in my ear spoke more clearly. It wasn't as cold as before, but it was the same voice.
Erin opened her eyes wide. As soon as she met the Duke's blue eyes, who were looking at her with his head tilted, she cried out in sorrow.
    "Oh, my neck bone!"
    "What?"
"The ladder won't go up!" It won't go up. A sharp scream echoed in the quiet space. "......Huh?" What did I say? Erin, who belatedly came to his senses, looked around in embarrassment. It was a library surrounded by bookshelves everywhere. Looking back on my memory, I think I fell asleep while reading a book. Besides, I felt like I talked in my sleep about what I dreamed.
"Oh, did you have a loud dream, Your Grace?"
Erin, who was muttering excuses and stopped talking. He stared at her with his eyes wide open and asked.
    'You had a dream?'
'Yes. I'm sorry if I surprised you.'
    'What dream?'
Did I swear without realizing it? Erin felt embarrassed by him cutting his horse, straightening his face, and pressing, so he fumbled a vague dream.
"Well, I fell off the ladder. So I was scared, but someone kept forcing me to go up again. I'm good at climbing high places, but I guess it's because I'm dreaming."

Ha, the expression of the peacock who breathed sharply became even worse. He pressed for an answer with his body leaning close to her.
    'Another? Anything else?'
'I don't remember. I could only hear his voice in my dream."
"Sigh, it's a dream..." The duke, who had been looking at her for a long time, sighed long and leaned back on the chair.
Glancing at his deeply thoughtful appearance, Erin wrapped her hands around her red cheeks. I can't believe I had such a weird dream that I fell asleep for a while. Moreover, why does the duke take others' dreams so seriously? I was embarrassed and embarrassed, so I thought I had to make an excuse and get out of here quickly. "I'm done-"
But Erin, who was about to wake up, was surprised and sat down.
Hahaha, suddenly the Duke laughed at the library to the point where his ears hurt. It was a strange laugh that sounded like a forced squeeze, but somewhat despondent, different from what I laughed in the hallway earlier.

"What, what's wrong with you? It's scary!" Frightened by ignorance, Erin crept away from him. It was so weird that I didn't even dare to ask why.
Eventually, the duke did not stop laughing until she walked to the faltering door. And when Erin was about to open the door, the Duke suddenly stopped laughing and crossed the horse in the seat.
    "Erin."
"What?" She replied with a doorknob, and said in a voice that sank to the floor as if she had laughed.
"It's because I don't know, but I wanted you to bring it out to me at that time.
'Because you've never asked me for a little thing.'
    'Yes.'
He answered, but Erin didn't understand what he was saying. Do you think that her dream was to be a child when they met? However, no matter how much I recall, nothing similar happened.

Erin quietly left the library after contemplating for a long time while holding the doorknob. Until then, the Duke had made no sign.
I don't know if you're scared because you're weird, why does your heart hurt? As she walked, she gently touched the tip of her stomach, which felt heavy.

    'Something's really weird!'
Erin opened a large closet that occupied an excessive space in the bedroom and was agonizing over the books. He couldn't sleep all night trying to understand the operation but failed. Still, I wasn't scared enough to be scared like the first time, but I was very worried.
Is it because of too much work and responsibility? So I fell into a hobby as a breakthrough to relieve the burden of reality.
Lee's imagination is so different that he's making up things that didn't happen. There was only one conclusion as a result of long and hard work. The side effects of addiction to fiction. His over-ripe childhood story was also clear from the results of over-imagination based on some facts. This is the only thing that can explain the Duke's attitude of saying what never happened as if it were real. The cringe-worthy way of saying things like,
    'How much is this?'
Ten books were all I bought with a great heart for luxury with my mother. It was also expensive, so I bought it shaking my hands, and there were countless expensive books with illustrations in the closet. Rich people are rich. Although the whole castle is antique for its size, I didn't know it was frugal, but I realized that the Duke was rich in unexpected places.
Erin counted the number of books that were filled with only one theme, and gave up and made a firm decision.
'I'm begging you to stop watching.'

Merina's aide said that she is so rational that she usually appears to be a small cold-blooded person, but it was hard to tell why she was only imagining it. It was no longer a matter for Erin, who was the object of his imagination.
It was no longer a matter for Erin, who was the object of his imagination.
"I'm very glad you found me first."
But when I knocked on the door of the office, I couldn't easily stop talking when I saw the Duke's face running to the door and welcoming her. It was hard to tell him, seemingly authoritative and manly,
'I know your hobby, write it.'
I was worried about what to do if she gets angry because she got caught even though she hid it in an empty woman's room. As Erin looked around while sitting on the sofa, the duke sitting across said affectionately. 'If you have any questions, feel free to ask.' 'Well, I have something to tell you.'
    'Yeah.'
    "..."
"You didn't sleep well? Is homework too much? Do you want me to extend the deadline?"
When she hesitated, the duke looked at her quehan face and asked one after another as if he felt sorry for her.
Right, homework! Erin, who had forgotten to study due to her anguish, was late in tears. I can't believe you put so much burden on others that you made them suffer. She burned her courage using injustice as a raw material. 'That's the same, Your Grace.' 'Did you forget my name because you were studying hard? I'm not your highness.' 'That's not the problem now. Your Highness, the closet in my room." "Closet?" When the Duke asked as if he was wondering, Erin took courage and said quickly. 'Your hobby in the closet.' 'My hobby?"I have a big mouth, so you don't have to worry. But I was a little worried.
    "So what's your hobby?"
When the Duke repeatedly asked, Erin's heart became stiff. At first, I didn't mean to do this, but I felt like I had found out his weaknesses that were so perfect that I could feel the distance. As she drew the horse, the Duke was slowly showing signs of impatience.
Erin, who was more relaxed while looking at his reaction, chose the horse carefully. 'The rare novels you've piled up in the closet in my room.'
'Oh, why?' 'You should stop watching. The immersion is so excessive that he seems confused."
    "What?"
When I looked at the operation of asking back pretending not to know, the tip of his ears seemed to be red. It's a bad thing to make fun of someone else's weaknesses. Erin hesitated and decided to turn it around nicely.
"You can say no. If it's hidden in an empty closet, I know your intentions. Anyway, what I want to say is that it's not good to go too far."
The Duke paused and slowly tilted his head. After a moment of thought, he opened his eyes thin and asked again as if he couldn't believe it.
"Did you say it was my hobby in the closet?"
"Yes. I repeat, my mouth is heavy, so don't worry and speak comfortably."
    "So is that my hobby?"
You must be very embarrassed to see me repeatedly asking the same thing in denial. Erin continued, shrugging her shoulders to make her look as insignificant as possible. "It's true that your taste is so familiar that it makes you feel more comfortable. But I don't think I'll be able to do it anymore." 'You've become more comfortable with me?'
"Sure, Your Grace. To be honest, I felt much relieved because I think I found the reason why you treated me strangely. I was scared because I didn't know English."
"But why are you telling me to stop?"
"I think you're confused because your imagination about me is specifically outstanding. It's confusing for me."

"I imagined you-." The Duke's expression as he opened her face became increasingly distorted. His muttering was too small to be heard. It was the same that I heard "how did I do" or "who had better imagination" at first glance. There was a long silence in the office. The duke, who had been frowning his eyebrows for a while, said slowly. 'I have to choose between your stability and my face.' 'What?' 'Then it's not a matter of concern. My face on the floor can be picked up later when I have time." "What?" He nodded loudly when Erin asked back. His tight lips and eyes were even grim. "Yes, I have that kind of hobby. You're the heroine I've been dreaming of. But that's what you say. "
Erin looked suspiciously at him, who was simply accepting, and avoided looking. Easy to say, but full of emotions.
This is because his eyes and mouth trembled as if.
The Duke, who was staring into space, suddenly asked.
"But don't you read such a book?" "I enjoy it, but I've been busy and expensive, so I haven't seen much."
His sigh was so heavy that the ground was going to die.
"Yeah, I see. It was too much of me to be considerate and hide it.``The peacock seemed very uncomfortable talking and understanding by himself from earlier on. Erin felt sorry for no reason and fiddled with the skirt. Should I have pretended not to know it until the end? But if you're going to be this embarrassed, you should move the book before you give me a room, or give me another room in the first place. His "symptoms" are getting worse and worse, which is inevitable.
"Would you like to take it now? Or I can change the room."
When Erin asked carefully, the peacock, who touched the forehead with his fingertips, shook his other hand without even looking.
"You have everything. Because I think I can give up my cow, China, Korea, China, China.

Unlike Erin, who was more comfortable than when he came, the Duke somehow looked tired. He left the office lightly, thinking that he had taken a load off her watch.

"I didn't know you were interested in commerce."
Roan tilted his upper body on the desk and caught everything in his eyes so that he would miss Erin even a little bit. She grumbled that she wanted to study alone, but when she sat down in the library, she did not take her eyes off the book as if she had forgotten him.
When I see her, I can't shake my eyes because her "past" appearance, which she was sitting in the same seat and looking at the magic book, overlaps. As usual, he seemed to happily make eye contact and smile when he called.
    "Erin"
    "... Yeah."
When Roan called me for a trial, Erin answered reluctantly and stared at me. I don't like being disturbed.
    Erin's green eyes contain resentment.
The difference in the temperature of the mind was clearly different from the memory, but on the other hand, it was overwhelming enough to answer.
"Ask me if you don't know anything,"
Roan said, and she looked at the book for a moment and murmured. 'Well, I'm wondering why you've been calling me since a while ago.'
    'Good.'
    'Already 36th, Your Grace.'
'I've only received this answer after more than 10 million calls.'
    '......Oh, I see.'
It was cute to see Erin trying to refute it, but she pouting her lips. When Roan pointed at the book with her chin, she turned her eyes right away without hesitation. From where to where should I talk about magic and regression?

Tsel-PakaiMasker 100% 9:36 XL Axiata → What's wrong... (Finished) 99+ rhl. However, it was better to lose face due to such a ridiculous misunderstanding. Roan tried to talk several times, but he couldn't say it. There was no possibility that she, who had forgotten all her memories and grown up normally, would believe what she could not believe herself. It was obvious that he would be "crazy" from "strange" man to "crazy" to Erin. And most of all, 'the past' was painful and miserable for Erin the past. Sofia returned to the castle where she had fled to cast a spell and died early. The young Erin was left alone and grew up to be persecuted, and he was almost executed by Roan's hand. He barely survived by magic and loved him, but only for a moment, he eventually died miserable as a witch. How can we easily say all these tragedies? He wanted to delay the time even for a moment, as he would have to say one day.

she seemed to have had a hard time because of that. But what if Erin had a chance to remember him? What if her dream is "memory"? Just a slight possibility seemed to flash a miracle in front of me. What does it mean? If you try to bring back Sofia's memory, you might be able to do it this time as if you were sick. Roan was excited and scared that she had the possibility of remembering everything. Extremely contradictory emotions swirled in him. The desire to protect Erin, who had no past misfortunes, and to regain her love at all costs were fiercely fought. Roan couldn't figure out what was for her. I just thought that making Erin believe him was the top priority now.
'I can't help but miss the past.'
Roan stares at Erin I quickly took away the book that took all her attention and asked.
    "Do you believe in magic?"

Erin, who raised her head, opened her eyes at the book in her hand. She shook the book as if threatening and urged an answer. "Huh? Answer me," Erin, who glanced at him and pouted her mouth, answered lukewarmly, hugging him in his arms when Roan returned the book.
"Well, I don't believe it, but I think there could be. I've heard that there's a whole lot going on in this world."
"Magic exists. It's not just in the fairy tale." You must have felt this way. Roan followed Erin's words that persuaded him in the past, stretching out his arms and gently grabbing her hand. Erin seemed surprised but surprisingly did not pull out his hand.

Roan's heart pounded like an untimely adolescent boy as her small, warm hands wriggled in his large hands.
"I'm going to look for another book."
Erin pretends to get up from her seat and sneak up on her hand.
"But magic doesn't go with you, Your Grace."
"I have to believe that you married me because it's magical."
    "Marriage, I'm not married yet!"
"Oh, you haven't, have you? It's not a big deal. I forgot."

When Roan blinks, she quickly blinked and eventually pulled her hand out. As the warm body temperature disappeared from the hand, a corner of my heart quickly became empty. Yes, first to win her heart.

Roan stared at her hoping that my sincerity would be conveyed. He was persistent until Erin, whose face turned red, avoided eye contact.

    'Now we have magic!'
I'm afraid that Erin will be taken away again.

'Shall we stop and steam the wind?' 'Nothing to stop. I've only seen two pages now."
When I glanced down at the book, Erin was beginning to come. I want to study. Who's the one who's you for the exam? It was also a peacock who pulled her out of her bedroom, which was quiet enough to study, and put her in the library.
Then he kept calling and talking to me and interrupting me. I thought it was a conspiracy to do whatever I wanted under the pretext of failing the test.
The Duke said as if he felt sorry for him.
'I hope you don't overdo it.'
    'I can never overdo it!'
It's harder for my heart to get the stinging eyes of your highness. Erin also responded with as much force as possible, but was far from enough for a smiling Duke.

The wind was gentle and the sun was warm among the flowers in the garden. She recalled spring flowers that would have bloomed near her mother's grave. Sarah will take good care of the grave, right?
The thought of the house made me nervous, but the Duke asked, tilting his head toward her. It has been more than a dozen times.

"Do you remember anything about me?" "That's all I told you," added hundreds of times. But the Duke was persistent.
He looked persistently at her with a look that seemed to penetrate no matter how absent she was. Thanks to this, Erin's imagination was also likely to develop in detail as she kept searching for her childhood memories.
I was confused whether it was imagination or memory because I was talking in detail about our shape, his expression, and even his appearance in the tent where he was trapped.
"I asked for your name, but you didn't tell me."
'I did, but you don't have a headache, do you?'
    'Head? It's okay."
"Tell me as soon as you feel a little strange."

What's wrong with your headache? Contrary to constant questioning, the Duke didn't seem to be listening to her answer. It seemed as if there was a separate answer that I wanted to hear, so I was forcing it. Do they want him to remember a marriage promise that is not like a child, which he said several times to get sick of?
What's strange, however, is that every time he asks, the memory comes up in more detail. At first, I only remembered the appearance of the Duke of Boy, who was trapped in a cage, but now I remembered the words that were good in detail.

    'Handsome wolf brother.'
The moment I remembered the word, Erin was embarrassed and wanted to bite her tongue. Let's say it's the innocent imagination of childhood that he misunderstood me as a werewolf after seeing my hair. But what's the point of calling him a handsome wolf brother?

    'Oh, I can't say that.'
Erin rubs his lips. I asked, avoiding my eyes.
"Don't you feel bad if I keep telling you what I remember?"
'Why?' 'It's not a good thing, though. You didn't usually go through a rough patch."

"It's not a good thing. You didn't usually go through a rough patch."
'That's true. I was able to survive and survive because it was me."
The Duke replied with a joked smile. However, Erin smiled awkwardly because he could see that his eyes were full of energy. "Well, where you got hurt, are you okay now?"
"I've hurt my pride more. Because I had to break up with you."

The Duke's beautiful eyebrows wriggled when she asked, pointing slightly at the chest area where he was hit by an arrow. Although he was surprised by the sudden cold impression, Erin nodded as he became familiar with the appearance.
    'I'm glad you're safe.'
'I'm amazed that I'm so weak in your memory.'
As the duke frowned heavily as if his pride were really hurt, she added impulsively comfortingly.
"Well, you were still the most handsome man I've ever seen."

"What do you mean 'handsome? Who else is handsome?"
Unexpectedly, the duke turned his head with his eyes wide open. Erin smiled awkwardly when her eyes met him.
"Well, my bahun. I've never seen such a handsome man before."
"What, he?" she looked at the Duke's mouth and shrugged her shoulders.
The Duke is handsome, but he's not a handsome man.
'Do you have a bad relationship with him?' he squinted at her question and shook his hand.
"There's no such thing as a relationship with him. It's just that I'm lazy because I have a lot of books."
"But I'm not a bad person, am I?"
"The worst thing in the world is that you have no ability and you have a wide sense of humor. It's perfect to get stabbed in the back while meddling in other people's affairs."
"I think it's worse to curse than to have a big five-leaf."

When Erin responded with astonishment, the Duke smiled sharply.
"What bad words, it's true. He's alive now because of me."
His eyes sank as soon as he was thinking. But the Duke, who glanced at Erin, pressed his face with a forced smile around his mouth.
"Why do you ask that? You're not interested in him, are you?"
"My aunt asked him to do me a favor. I just want to believe you're a good person."
For a moment the duke stared into the air above her head gritted his teeth and grumbled.
"What kind of bad relationship is this with him?"
What happened to him that he hates Jebahun so much? When I thought about it, I thought about the image of Cayenne being slapped by a woman.
"You're not involved in a relationship, are you?'
Erin, who looked suspiciously at the duke, shook his head. The Duke's eyes on me seemed to pierce my face. However, his teeth seemed to have gotten used to it. Erin looked at the flowers blooming in the garden casually, making a fuss.

    ****

Benjamin Kupen was very proud to be the deacon of the Duke's Castle, who served Duke Perka for the second generation. Because he was one of the few people the Duke trusted. The evidence of the Duke's trust was very simple. The evidence was that the Duke had not been driven for a long time.
As part of that trust, I have been given an important mission these days. It was to crack down on the employees so that the prospective ma'am could stay. In a heartbeat, the cute "preliminary lady," who took the top line from the Duke's closest list, smiled gladly as she faced Benjamin while coming down alone.

    'Butler.'
'I'm a butler, miss. Are you going out?"
A simple lady from a commoner was always respectful to see and treat her as an old man.
I've been respectful every time, saying,
"Yes, I'll be back in the market."
"I'll call you a carriage. You'll be lonely on your way, so why don't you take Mary with you?"
    "I'm on my way out."
    "Is she uncomfortable?"
"No way." I wanted to give you a birthday gift secretly.'
'If you need anything, just drop the order.' When Benjamin answered carefully, the lady waved her hand.
"It's still a gift, but I want to give it to you myself."
"You're doing it yourself. It's enough."

Benjamin, who had long experience with the lady who was seriously considering the gift of the maid, was also a little embarrassed.
She may not know, but she was already a "comfortress" in the city. This is because on the first day of the lady's arrival, the duke called everyone and gave a strict order that if he did not serve the "ma'am" properly, he would pay respect.

However, the people of the Duchy were more intimidated by their owners' facial expressions than by the names of the suddenly appeared ladies and duchies. Benjamin saw the duke smile last before the death of the former duke couple.

As soon as I saw my face lively, which had no feelings other than anger and despair for a long time, I was emotional and cried. After that day, a surprising change occurred in maneuverability. As the castle was foggy, the cold and heavy silence that had been sunk disappeared. The most ordinary but innocent girl gave warmth to the desolate castle.
Benjamin called the carriage, ignored the maid for a moment.
    "The lady is going out."
Before knocking on the door of the office and finishing the report, the Duke left the room as soon as possible. In addition, Regil's aide and Benjamin had to follow suit like they were running. It was very unfamiliar to see the back of the duke walking with his feet making a loud sound when he found the lady.

"Are you on your way out?"
When the Duke spoke to him, the lady turned around and greeted him politely.
"Yes, I'd like to go to the market. Oh, the carriage is here. Your Highness, I'll be back."
"Wait. I've rescheduled the date." When the carriage came, the Duke greeted her and tried to ride without hesitation, but the Duke blocked her.
    "Coordination?"
the Duke opened his three fingers and shook them, and the lady paused and opened her eyes wide. Seeing her little face turn dark, Benjamin became blind without knowing anything.
The lady, who had a troubled look on her face, raised her hands to the duke and unfolded seven fingers. But with a little smile on the Ball, Her two fingers gently held her straight hands down.

"Oh, no, no... ." the girl who bit her lips shook her head and sighed painfully. Benjamin's head turned tight as he watched the scene. What's so serious about this? Why does your beloved highness seem to be bothering you?
The duke stared at her suffering for a while, and stretched out five fingers as if he were trying to be generous. When the lady shook her head as if she were refusing with a tired look, the duke nodded as if he was going to fold his thumb. Then she held her hand so that he wouldn't fold his thumb and nodded wildly.
    "Okay, I'll try!"
Benjamin, who was frightened by the Duke's attitude, doubted his eyes. The duke was smiling at the lady who looked at him resentfully. Raise one eyebrow and raise the corners of your mouth. In the old days, a small princess used to smile like that in good times.
When Benjamin saw the Duke's expression, he was both emotional and relieved. It didn't seem as serious as it seems.
"Yeah, I'm looking forward to it."

When the lady got on the wagon, the smiling Duke gestured to the waiting escort. And I stood and watched until I couldn't see the carriage.
"Do you know what kind of conversation you had in numbers?"
Benjamin asked the aide standing next to him worriedly just in case, but he replied as if it wasn't a big deal.
"You've set a date for the exam. Your Highness has been teaching commercial work by himself lately. It's a shame that you're in a hurry to build up your aristocratic skills."
Benjamin was relieved that it wasn't a big deal, but when he heard what his aide added at the end, he secretly argued.
"It's not easy not to live in this huge castle. You must be a very good foundation to learn commercial work."
"That's true, but don't you mean there's an order of work?"
    "Didn't you save Sharon?"

"Did you save Sharon? Everyone's worried that it's your reputation before marriage."
"I'm already having a hard time with it. Your standards are too strict."
The original duke was not meticulous enough to care about other people's interests. However, considering the reputation of a single girl, the rumor spread.
"First of all, the word that you're staying with your aunt is spreading well."
"I think there's a rumor going around the market about you, so make sure you're inside."
"Don't worry," Benjamin said, facing Regil's aide, briefly sympathizing with the feelings on each other's faces.
They watched the duke the longest time on the duke. Many of the mysterious actions that the duke has done so far have been fit in as if they had been interrupted when the lady appeared. The Duke was no longer out of sight. The escort group, which consists of a carefully decorated cute women's quarters, a good, greedy head maid, and female knights, finally met its owner.
Those who were aware of this could not raise any objection to the Duke's bride-to-be.
    "It's too different from before."
"It'll be much different in the future."
A strict aide to Regil agreed with Benjamin and looked at the duke who couldn't take his eyes off the wagon even though he couldn't see it.

    *****

The crowded market was always lively. Erin looked around at the crowded stands and interesting items and examined this and that. Mercia, where commerce has developed, had much more kinds of business than agricultural-oriented Saddaguk. Just looking at it with my eyes made me study well.
"I don't have much money with me, so I can't buy anything good."
Erin looked sadly at the stand where the cute props were displayed and chose items to give Mary as gifts.
'Wow, this is my mom's favorite pattern.'

The tea cup with flowers on it suddenly reminded me of my mother. You would have liked it if I bought it for you. She's careful with the tea cup.
As I looked into, women who seemed to be mothers and daughters next to me had a scuffle.
'What do you think of this? You like flowers.' 'I'm here to buy your mom's. My mom likes drawing animals, so let's go with this."
"Hey, you have to match the young man's taste."
All of a sudden, I felt a longing for Woolkull. When she came to the market, she always had such a scuffle with her mother.

["I feel better buying what you like. Erin, if you want to do it for your mother, pick yours."]

Erin looked envious at the mother and daughter next to her, especially her mother. Just in time, a middle-aged woman had the same reddish brown hair as her mother. It's been a year since I suppressed my longing to pretend to be okay by myself.
These days, I couldn't think of my mom because of sudden events, but when I suddenly remembered my old memories without any protection, I was overwhelmed with longing.

When the mother and daughter, who had been putting their heads together for a long time, left their seats, Erin followed.
Looking at the women who were laughing while buying a ruler, Erin also recalled the memories of enjoying the market with her mother.

I went to the bookstore and chose a romance book all day long, discussing each other's taste of the male lead until the owner noticed. I missed my mother's smile, which I had admired her daughter's face countless times even if I bought a piece of clothes.

["Where did this cute little girl come from? She's a very seductive person, so she doesn't look like me."

"It's because I'm not big enough. When I grow up, I'll be a seductive, seductive beauty."

"Oh, boy. Cute looks are better. I get sick and tired of being cute, but it's a new law every time I see it."]

Mother and daughter, who were looking around every corner of the market, walked between the alleys. Erin follows mother and daughter like she's possessed. He belatedly came to his senses and looked around. Where am I?

She was out of the market and into the alleys of the first residential neighborhood. I looked around the icy road, but I couldn't tell where the entrance to the market was and where I was going out.
After wandering around the alley for a long time, she felt ashamed that she had acted pathetic. When I was alone in a strange place, I suddenly felt lost. Frustrated and weakened, nostalgia for her mother overwhelmed her.

'Mom, I miss you so much!'
Erin managed to hold back her tears as she tried to soar. In the meantime, there was a tomb right next to my house, so I could have missed it a little bit, but now it is too far away. I came all the way here to meet my aunt, but I couldn't meet her, and suddenly I felt like I fell alone in a remote place.
Erin collapsed and sat down. How long would it have been to hold back the emotion that was shaking so hard with a tangle in my knee?
Suddenly, I heard footsteps. Surprised, Erin looked forward with only her eyes raised. A man's quality leather shoes I could see. The shoes that were rushing up to her stopped slowly a few steps ahead.

    "Erin."
As she was about to look up, the man sat with one knee on the ground, eye contacting her.
"Why are you doing this?" It was a duke. His voice was very low and soft as he lowered his head and spoke to her.
Erin unexpectedly came with relief, curled up and looked at the duke with only his head up. It was strange that he appeared suddenly and was not surprised. It was familiar to him to find himself for some reason.
    'I'm lost.'
'Where did you want to go?'
    'I don't know.'
'When you're lost, you can find it if you go after there.'
The duke slowly raised his finger to point to the far-standing duke. Erin shook her head and said in a melancholy manner.
"I miss my mom so much."

Well, he let out a low groan. Erin made eye contact with his pants, which had no wrinkles, as they were rubbed against the dirt floor. The duke frowned upon her.
"What do you want me to do?"
"I want to go to my mother's grave. I want to see the villagers."
The wrinkles on his forehead deepened. The Duke, who was speechless, looked embarrassed. The duke, who reached out as if to hug her, collected his arm with his fist. After a moment of thought, he proposed with a serious look.
'Then shall we go to Sadaguk with me?' 'Really?'
'Yes, I wonder where you lived."
Erin asked impulsively whether he was serious or not.
"Why are you so nice to me?"
    "Because it's you."
It was an answer without hesitation. I've always heard it, but I was much more comfortable with words without rhetoric. Erin also asked straightforwardly.
"You don't know me very well. What if I'm not what you expected me to be when I was a kid?"
"It's complicated to explain. Simply put, whatever you look like, you're the path I've been looking for. There's something very good along the way."
    'What's there?"
The Duke paused and turned his eyes to the air. Cringe was a precursor to words.
"Spring. I heard spring is coming in my life." I prepared myself, but it was an ordinary answer. But why does the duke say exactly what his mother said? Erin murmured with emotion.
"That's why my mom loved the lark. It's a bird that brings a warm spring."

Erin looked at his face and asked hesitantly. "What do you do if you miss your mother?"
"You're the first person I've ever asked."

    "That's not the answer."
"To be honest, I forgot that my parents died a long time ago. I still can't forget the sadness of losing my family because it's bigger than that."
Erin looked at his head. His parents must be his family, but his parents and family sounded different.
Why? The Duke, who had finished speaking, stared at her face this time.
'Oh, come to think of my mother once.' 'When did you do that?'
'When I met your mother and daughter. To be honest, I was envious."
    "Ah......."
"Don't look so sorry. It means it was good. It's the first time I've thought of it that way because I've been busy surviving."

In the gaze I encountered, there was a very brief moment of sadness. Erin gradually calmed down as he stared into his sunken blue eyes. Maybe it's because I share the same sadness.
"It's nice to have someone who remembers my mom. Can you tell me more about your mom?"
"On the way. It's still cold when the sun goes down." "Yes."
Erin stood up holding his hand as the Duke reached out. Perfectly dressed, the dirt on the pants stood out exceptionally. She looked at her with care, but the duke didn't care, but rather touched her skirt. While walking, he bent down to his waist and whispered to her short.
"Your mother was good at opening locks. Has the technique been transferred?" Erin stretched his neck out to listen to his mother and kept his eyes on him.
"We failed. I'm not good with my hands."
"Oh, and what's interesting is that Sofia understood you very well. Honestly, I didn't understand half of it."
    "Why?"
"You didn't have a front tooth because your baby teeth fell out. When are you going to transform into Sharam? Is this how the werewolves look? It's already wrong, but the pronunciation is wrong..."
"Oh, forget about that! Tell me about your mother, not about me."
The Duke did not let go of his hand as he walked to where the carriage had been parked. However, Erin was unconscious and fell in love with his words.
The longing for her mother, who was almost hurt, permeated her mind calmly thanks to the duke.

    *****

"So with three gold coins, I think I'm going to make it somehow...."
Erin mumbled numbers in the corner of the paper on the tea table. Worrying about the cost of living, I was stabbed to pay for expensive paper, so I wrote it as small as possible.
In a castle with everything, even if it was a living expense, it was an emergency fund just in case.
The duke returned her lost bag on the ship, but the things he brought were unwieldy. It's because Mary hated it and persuaded it.
"Lady, everything in this room can't be touched without you. It's a waste if you can't do all this pretty and useless."
The dresses Mary brought every morning were hurriedly made by the designer. Erin refused, but the goods increased every day. All the expensive items, including hairpins, hats, and shoes with rare jewels, were perfectly for her.
"Is it good to get it like this?"
Erin looked around the colorful but cute bedroom and looked at the items in the closet that were not at odds even if they were in this room.
As I thought about it carefully, I began to doubt books that did not suit the Duke at all. When I looked at the items in the room that were prepared for Erin's taste, I wondered if the romance novel was also set, so why did the soup lie in the right place?
'And why didn't you deny your shameful misconceptions?'
The duke said, 'You have to choose between stability of your mind and my face. Did she secretly force the Duke to accept the misunderstanding so that I could feel at ease?
"Looking at this, I think he's really giving it to me."
As the days went by, I often saw his meticulous and caring heart again. caring heart. In particular, it was so sweet of her to comfort her with her mother's story.
If the Duke isn't a romance reader, what are the cheesy expressions of affection and the unknown past stories that he's tired of himself?
Nothing is certain yet, but Erin was a duke and, let alone, was deeply attached to the people of the castle.
'I must have been very lonely after my mom died!'
The villagers of Sada-guk Silver were very kind, but they felt different from this place. Perhaps because of the limited space of the castle.
The butler, who smiles benevolently whenever he encounters her, felt like everyone was living together. Or even against the nobility' manners that Erin must observe without the Duke knowing.
The Duke's people became better, including his assistant Regil, who gave a brief explanation.

    made the Duke's people better.
'I need someone to stand on my side and give advice.'
I wish my aunt had been there. What did she go to find out? It's not a bad thing, is it? Erin, who had been thinking about this and that while alternating between paper with numbers and books he was studying, made up his mind and got up from his seat.
"Did you forget to give me three gold coins for the test?"
As soon as Erin said he wanted to get a job, the Duke answered in a snap. He called me out to drink tea and smiled at me with his eyes and suddenly looked serious. She ignored me and hated the peacock who wielded the test like a weapon, giving her no time to study every time.
"It's for me, but I don't think you can get paid for it."
When Erin replied in a rebellious voice, the duke, who was staring closely at her with his head tilted, laughed and laughed.
"Is that stubbornness because it's curly?"

"Please remove my hair. My mom liked it because I looked like my grandmother."
"I like it, too. Every strand of your hair, I have a lot of memories."
As the duke groped his hair with his eyes, Erin wrapped her head in both hands and shook her head as she felt caught up.
"Hmmm, I don't think I can stay with you like this. I don't like it because it feels like I'm relying on it."
'Why shouldn't you rely on me?'
'Then you can't judge and decide objectively about your majesty.'
'There are countless words to refute, but no matter what you say, you don't seem to want to hear them."
The Duke, leaning toward her across the tea table, leaned his back against the chair with his arms folded. Erin mumbled, imitating his posture.
"I always feel that way to you."
The tongue-tied peacock thoughtfully shut his mouth. I thought he would force it until the end, but it was surprising.

Erin quickly suggested the next best option for the job.
"I'll be honest with you. My entire fortune in Sadaguk is about 100 gold coins."
In fact, I inflated about 70. Instead of answering, the duke raised his chin and urged the next horse, and Erin closed her eyes and quickly finished speaking.
"It's your fault that you can't find the money, so in a way, please lend me 10 gold coins."
The serious duke snorted and asked back as if he couldn't believe it.
    "10?"
Is that a lot or a little? Erin, who slowly opened her eyes, tried to reduce the amount.
    "Then five?"
    "..."
    'Three. No more!'
    'Erin'
The Duke, who erased his face, came up from his seat with his arms folded. Then she looked down at her back with both hands.
"Can I ask what you're going to do with the money?"
Erin, who became trapped in his arm, had to lean tightly against the chair to avoid the maneuver that had become closer. His cool smell mixed with mint scent at the tip of his nose brushed and blue eyes wrapped in long eyelashes stared at her. The Duke, who wrapped her cheek lightly, whispered to Kit Street.
"It may be an illusion, but I feel like I bought a boat," Erin hurriedly replied to his voice, which sounded very low as if he were angry.
"No, I'm trying to do business."
    "Business?"
"Mushrooms. Last time I saw them at the market, they sold a lot. I want to raise it as a test."
    ".. ..growing mushrooms?"

"Yes, there's a fertilizer combination that my aunt taught me, which I raised in Silver. We don't know if we can do it here."

Duke just blinked and looked at her. He seemed surprised by the unexpected words and seemed to be confused with her.
"Don't look at me like that, but can you give me a quick answer? My heart was shaking from the point of borrowing money."
When Erin, embarrassed and ashamed, turned her eyes and murmured bluntly, the Duke breathed out a long breath. And the next moment he slapped her on the forehead.
"No matter how much, I wouldn't have been more nervous than I was."
Erin felt strange when he felt his cool forehead as well as his horse. Did you really misunderstand that I bought a boat? My face was so close that I couldn't think properly. Erin pushed lightly against his chest.
"I told you I'd tell you if there were any more. I'm good at keeping promises."
    "My trustworthy servant, moon, bird."
The Duke, who stared at her from a distance that seemed to touch her forehead without hesitation, replied without an accent.

Erin, who seemed to blush at his gaze, turned his head slightly and murmured.
"I really want to meet my aunt. I want to do something in the meantime."
"Okay, I'll lend you 30 gold coins."
"What? There are too many. My distribution is small, so I have a stable investment tendency."
When the suspicious Erin refused, he smiled with his eyes on what the Duke was thinking.
"The greenhouse is perfect for growing mushrooms. The rent is expensive, so you'll have to raise it well."
    "So ten of them first..."
'No, you can only choose three hundred or thirty.'
    'You're being too extreme.'
"That's how I was able to be the greatest colossus. Learn it well."
"You're forcing yourself to increase your debt, and you look more like a bad loan shark than a big boss."
I can't believe I have to beg you to lend me a little, why are you talking like this? I was usually caught up by the duke, but today I felt like I was being pushed back. Erin gave her eyes strength and threw them away. 'Ten. I'd rather not borrow more than that.'
    "If that's the case, I can't. Then we'll make a deal."
Erin stood up holding her hand while looking at the peacock, who unexpectedly answered in a mild manner. No, I was going to get up, but his lips were faster.
Chook, the warm, soft duke's lips touched her forehead as if pressing against it.

Surprised, she wrapped her hands around her forehead and opened her eyes wide. Rather, the duke murmured admirably as he swept his lips with his fingertips.
    'That's how it feels.'
'Well, you did it to me!'
When Erin jumped up from his seat and protested, the Duke tilted his head, sticking out his forehead and laughed.
"If you feel wronged, you do it, too. As a sign of a deal."
Erin and the Duke's eyes met in the air. The duke, who turned his eyes first as if he had been slick, crossed the room and left a message to call.
"But these lips. I've never used anything other than talking and eating.'
    'What?'
'I've only been waiting for you.'
When the Duke quickly disappeared out of the room, Erin blankly touched his forehead for a long time. It was only for a moment that his lips touched, but the area seemed to be getting hotter and hotter.

When I first started this story, I didn't see how the two would end up together, and the MC irritated me at times, but by the end I loved them both! I cried when they died, and now we have to wait for the manhwa extras to show all the fluff after the Duke finds her again (also, the name changes are kinda confusing.)

Thank you so much for sharing chapters from the novel! :blobsmilehappy::aww::blobhug:

"You've been beaten every time and you've borrowed money from me again."
Roan smiled cutely as he recalled Erin, who called himself a vicious loan shark.
At first, he thought Erin, who missed Sofia, was going back to Sadaguk, so his heart sank. But Roan, who was planning to do anything for him next time, said carefully, "It's good."
It was a great welcome from his point of view when he had an excuse to hold Erin here. Moreover, growing mushrooms was not something that could be done in a short time. Roan was even excited because Erin now seemed determined to stay in the castle.
Still, it is not easy to be relieved. As if she had lost her place to go, her image of her crouching in the middle of the alley kept hovering in my head. He looked so sad. Maybe he was doing that whenever he didn't see him, but he didn't feel too good in one corner of his heart.
"In the past, I would have done more."
When Roan was under the spell, he acted as if he couldn't live without Erin, but left her alone for days if he forgot her while working.
I was suffocated when I thought Erin, who was like a prisoner, would have been lonely without a proper word in the castle.
It's only been a year since Sofia died. I didn't think that Erin would still be deeply saddened.
Roan wondered what he should do for her. Then I remembered that she used to hide somewhere when she was having a hard time or suffering and scrubbing.
Roan rang the bell and asked the butler. 'What about Erin?'
    'She's studying in the library.'
The quick-witted butler answered right away. Roan sent him out after ordering him out and smiled self-helpfully.
In fact, it might be just an excuse not to follow in the footsteps of the past. Erin has lived a good life without him. It's him that she's desperate for.

    "How do you like it?"
The Duke stood her in the middle of the greenhouse and asked her with his eyes shining.
The greenhouse, which has a very high ceiling and is well-lighted and well-ventilated, was clearly built with great effort.
However, it was a bit messy because there were leaves all over the dirt floor where there was nothing.
There's no radish all over the place, where did the leaves come from? Small pots and junk that did not fit in the huge greenhouse were scattered here and there,

Erin looked around curiously, and the duke picked up a broom in the corner and stuck out.
"I think you're complicated, so I'll let you clean up especially. Do as much as you want until you feel better."
Erin looked suspiciously down at the broom he pulled out. What do you mean? Especially? As much as you want? She took the broom that the duke put out as if he were trying to be generous and asked.
"Can I open what it's for here?"
"You can use it however you want."
    "What?" "But don't overdo it."
There's nothing too much to clean up, but why do they look so excited?
While Erin was embarrassed, the Duke, who looked around, left the greenhouse lightly.
She looked around and fixed the broom. I don't know what it is, but seeing the expectation of the duke, I felt pressure to do well.

    "Phew, where should I start?"
The cleaning was not familiar because her mother, who was in charge of cleaning instead of her slow-handed hands, was in charge of cleaning.
Erin was in charge of the laundry that used his strength, to put it into perspective. Erin rolled up her sleeves, swept the leaves and began to clean up the mess as it appeared. But something was wrong.

    'Why isn't it getting clean?'
Isn't this where you put the pot? Why aren't the leaves gathered in one place even if they're swept away? Things fell apart when they were put together. After a long time, the Duke looked around and wriggled his eyebrows as if he were surprised.

"......I thought you were good at it because you liked it," Erin looked at the pots and piles of fallen leaves on one side, muttering as an excuse.
"God must have given me nothing but passion and no talent."
"I made people mess up, but I could've made more mess. That's great."

"What do you mean by making people mess up?"
When asked by Erin, surprised, the Duke replied, touching the tip of his eyebrow.
'I thought you wanted to clean up.'
    'Me?'
"I heard that cleaning up when there's something bothering you can relieve it."
    "... "
    "Isn't that right?"
"I've only heard a legend that such a person exists somewhere in the world."
When Erin murmured back, a short sigh took the broom from her hand and threw it away.
"Stop it—I must have been mistaken."
    'What are you mistaken?"
"I knew you'd like it. Let's clean it up later and go."
Somewhere embarrassed, the peacock shook his head and tried to leave the greenhouse door first. Erin followed him and looked back without realizing it and looked closely inside.

Uh, why is the greenhouse ripening? The patterns on the floor of the glass greenhouse, where sunlight permeated, seemed to be visible at first glance. And at the same time, I could hear the sour duke's voice.

["What are you doing in there?"]

'Your Highness? What did you say?"
When Erin asked, the Duke looked back and asked back.
    'What's going on?'
'Well, you didn't call?" Instead of answering, the Duke came up to her and looked at her face.
"What do you think I said?"
I asked first. Erin didn't know English, so she answered facing him.
"I think you asked me what I'm doing here."

The Duke's expression suddenly hardened as soon as he finished speaking. His eyes carefully scattered her face.
    'You really didn't say anything?'
'...I did. This greenhouse is yours, so use it as you please. Do everything you want to do. Forget the rent because it's a joke." When the duke, who was taking a break, replied, Erin, who was embarrassed, pointed inside and checked again.
'Well, did you put a carpet or something on the floor?'
    'Carpet?'
"A carpet with a lot of round patterns."
    "..."
'No, I must have misread it. There's no carpet on the dirt floor."

The duke, who was staring at her without a word, suddenly approached her and wrapped her face in both hands. And she called her name so sweetly that I wondered if she could call her so softly.
    'Erin'
    'What?'
    'Doesn't your head hurt?'
Her face was so serious that Erin answered quietly.
"I'm fine. What's wrong with you?'
    'Just in case you're tired.'
'I'm not tired at all. Rather, Your Highness looks tired," the Duke, who tilted his head, said in a strange smile and a hoarse voice.
    'It's because I'm overwhelmed.'
    'Why?'
'I'm overwhelmed to the point where I wonder if I can do this.'
    'Suddenly you like it?'
" Do you like it when I can't clean?"
"Yes, it's good that you can't clean, and it's good to grow mushrooms here."

That's weird. It's weird, but I can't argue with it. Why does the duke suddenly look at me so awkwardly? Erin held her hand in her face as if she were caught in his gaze, making eye contact with the duke.
"Shall we take each other's tiredness, have a cup of tea and rest?"
Erin first took his hand and slowly led him out, as the Duke nodded and seemed not to let go.

She peeked back, but unlike what she saw earlier, the greenhouse was exactly what she had cleaned.
When I came outside, the spring sunlight shone brighter than when I was in the greenhouse. When Erin frowned casually, the Duke, who had not taken his eyes off her, smiled as he made a hand shade with his empty hands.

    *****

The west, centered on the Duke of Duchy, has changed a lot from the "past" as Roan changed it. But the Witch's forest, which arrived after hours of running from the Duke's castle, has a dismal atmosphere.
It was a boulevard. The wind blew and shook the trees, and the cold air drove him away.
Roan jumped from the horse and stared at the entrance to the forest.
"I didn't expect to come here again."
The hidden path was the same for the first time in 10 years. Roan went deep into the forest, cutting off twigs and grass with a sword.

Yaoong- A black cat that popped out of the tree ran to his feet and hung its tail proudly around him. As I glanced down, the cat's yellow eyes stared at him.
'Don't you have a card for me today?'
Roan grins at the cat. He took off his cape on his head with a dry touch. In the middle of the vacant lot, there was a log cabin surrounded by mist with black light. He agonized for a moment. He put the sword in the heist and moved his steps.
Erin is regaining her "memory." It was clear from the mention of the Magic Circle, which had been painted on the floor of the greenhouse. That's it.
The late herself seemed completely oblivious to what it meant.

Roan wanted to know. I wonder if Erin is as dangerous as before because of magic, and if her memory can come back completely. There was no other place to ask if a witch who didn't know the "past" was helpful.

Juliana, carrying a long spatula with sticky liquid on her manners, smiled at him.
"That's weird. This is not an easy place to find, but you look familiar."
"You're familiar with me, including recognizing me at once?"
Roan and Juliana, who exchanged words at the door, looked at each other for a moment. What's disappointing is himself, so Roan brought it up first.
'You recognized me in Pavin, didn't you?'
"It's rare on the continent that you don't know your highness."
"It must be very rare for you to know me through Yeji."
Seeing Juliana's spatula faltering, Roan approached her.
"I hate talking in circles like you, so I'm straightforward. Sophia's magic was fulfilled."
Juliana opened her eyes wide, but she wasn't as surprised as expected. You've got a good idea. So you know this? Roan added, shooting at her.
"But the magic was broken, and I alone, the contractor, went back to square one. I am living this life for the second time."
    Unique--
A spatula fell from Juliana's hand even before he finished talking. As the unidentified liquid splashed in all directions, Roan looked at it and laughed.
"This is interesting. I can't believe I know magic better than a witch."

    *****

It seems that people's nature and habits do not change. Roan kicked his tongue as he saw the pot boiling in the middle of the living room. Yuliana, who was following his gaze, laughed with a humming sound. She regained her absent-minded look as if she had been surprised.

"It looks like this, but it's just a supplement. There are many healthy things in the mountains. It's especially good for men, a glass. Would you like it?"

"I don't need it. "It's already burning with regular salt."
Juliana, who was about to use a spatula, paused.
    Roan chinned with arsenic floating.
"If you have any questions, you may ask." She squinted her head and asked slowly while looking from head to toe at Roan.
'Who is your wife that you mentioned then?' 'My wife is the only one in her life. Erin, your nephew."
Thoughtful Juliana closed her eyes and opened them.
Roan took a fresh look at her appearance. No matter how you look at it, there was no resemblance to Erin. Her pupils were similar in color, but if Erin was dark green, Juliana was green mixed with gray. In that sense, Erin is not much like Sofia.
Juliana briefly explained his question as if she had noticed it.
"I'm a step sister to Sofia. And Erin's like his father."
    "Good luck with your misfortune."
"Your Highness, if you tell me what you know, I'll tell you everything."
In his thought, Roan briefly talked about magic. Juliana nodded with a knowing look.
    'Oh, I see.'
    "As expected?'
'I saw a trail of the Magic Circle at the castle. They only responded to your blood."
"Why did you lie when you saw it?" "Because I heard the prediction. Because of that prediction, Sofia lived her life with a heavy burden."
"If the memory hadn't been erased, I would have remembered Erin, and I would never have killed her."
"I can't be sure. Because foresight is foresight."
"If the foresight that Sophia saw was not the end, but the beginning?"
"It would also belong to fate."
Destiny? Roan stared coldly at Yuliana at the moment when Buah was pushed.
"Then why are you hiding yourself from your nephew?"
"I'm not a sorcerer, but I've been directly involved in her fate. I've been waiting for things to be clear."
"Being sure? Can magic endanger Erin in this life?"
"It's broken and I'm back to square one, but what's already been made doesn't go away. Magic has followed you, the only link."
    'So?'
'Erin will be fine. In this life without the original contractor and sorcerer, magic simply loses its power and wanders in search of a place to stay."
You mean I still have magic left? Roan looked down at his hand and pressed Juliana.
"But Erin, who knew nothing, began to remember."
"It's under the influence of magic that lingers around you. SHe's naturally strong in medium power."
"Then it could be as dangerous as before, right?"
"No, what's incomplete is magic, not Erin. And this is what happened, but magic was there for her."
Yaoong- a black cat that had disappeared somewhere came to Roan's feet and was distressed.
Looking down at it, he was convinced by Juliana over and over again and said, "If it wasn't dangerous for Erin, it would be fine. I just came to ask that today."
Juliana stood up and hugged the cat. Roan alternately kicked them with his tongue and added them to the top.
"I'm looking forward to seeing you next time through the blood of Erin, not the witch."
"On the eastern continent, there is a saying that if your wife is pretty, you bow to the pillar of your wife's house."
Roan didn't go out, he turned around and stared at Juliana.
"I know the proverb of the eastern continent that fits you perfectly. He kept it to himself, and he said something that didn't help anyone."
Roan paused for a moment. I gave strength to the horse. "Adore you shit."

When I came out and stood at the entrance of the forest, the trees shook in the wind. Roan, who seemed to be someone's old sad crying and a witch's sigh, gathered his mind with his head down before riding the horse.

Right here, it was heartbreaking to think vividly of Erin, who said it was okay to stop talking about the price of magic.

Me, too. If I could be with you, I'd be happy to pay any price.
A painful and joyful feeling rose from inside Roan. I missed it. I think I'm going crazy because I missed it, but I got a cold hope. He tried to change his mind selfishly, saying he wanted to protect Erin from the unfortunate past.

'It's okay if I'm the only one who has a complete memory. But is it good for you?'

Shoot, instead of answering, the wind shook his collar three times. Roan closed his eyes and touched Erin in my memory countless times sadly. I hope I can reach my heart a little bit.

    End of chapter 12

"Oh, I'm only done with one book," Erin muttered, covering the last bookcase.
However, knowledge acquisition was a different problem, just finishing reading. She rearranged the paper with the questions and sighed in bed. I think I've never been this busy lately.
During the day, I prepared for mushroom cultivation, and at night, I studied the test given by the Duke. Today, the Duke was free because he did not interfere with her studies. Since he was busy and had little time to be alone, Erin realized again how tired he had been of helplessness and loneliness. She recalled the words repeatedly asked by her mother, who foresaw her death.

In a small mountain village, there was little left for Erin alone to do. Farming is hard to do alone and above all, my mother didn't want it. However, Erin couldn't leave the village because of her mother's memories. But as soon as he left the affectionate place, the Duke appeared like a lie.
"Mom, can I dare to do this?"
Erin never dreamed that a day would come when she would agonize over a man as noble as a duke as her husband. In addition, I have never seen anyone who shows his true heart like a peacock other than his blood.
Rather, his father who shared blood was worse than others. But how can the duke like her so much with a short relationship when he was young? Be sincere, be nice to me, and throw everything away for me.
If I were to consider the duke on the condition that my mother put forward as her husband, the first and second answers were already given. Then what should we do next?

Erin quickly fell asleep while agonizing over the pattern of the familiar ceiling.

"Erin, isn't it hard? Do you want me to carry you?"
A familiar voice called her affectionately. Mom? Erin looked around and looked up at Sofia. Her mother looked down at her, much younger than she remembered, and she was young and small.
They were walking along an unfamiliar mountain path. Young Erin held her mother's hand and chatted with her child's unique tongue short pronunciation. They were in a hurry because they thought they could meet Juliana just by crossing the mountain.
"But did the handsome wolf brother go home safely?"
Sophia, who was about to answer, stopped walking because she was surprised to find something. As in the answer to Erin's question, there was a splint of hair sticking out in the grass by the road.
    "Huh? Wolf brother?"
The boy, who had left in the opposite direction to them to go to the port, was lying in the grass. He was soaked in blood.

My whole body was wet with blood, especially my face was full of blood.
    "Mom? Is your brother okay?"

Sophia, who put her finger on her nose and looked around at the boy, suddenly bit her lips and paused. And I looked at Erin and him alternately with a stiff look.

Erin was embarrassed by her mother's unfamiliar expression and grabbed her skirt. However, Sofia took Erin's hand and turned firmly away from the boy.

"Mom? Brother?" he turned his back and as soon as he took a few steps, the boy groaned faintly. Sophia, who trembled at the sound, dragged Erin harder and moved as if she were running away.
"Mom, are you okay? It's bleeding a lot!" "Let's just go, Erin."
    "What about your brother then?"
In regret, Erin looked back at the boy and gave up holding Sofia's hand, giving her strength not to go.
"Mom, you must be very sick. Can't you help me, okay? You told me that people who are sick are helping."

Sophia, who closed her eyes with a troubled look, stopped and sighed slowly.
    'Erin'
    'Huh?'
'Mom had a bad idea for a second. Then you'll be punished."
    "What bad idea?"
    "Thinking for our Erin."
Looking up at Sofia, Erin shook her head and pointed at the boy.
    'Mom, you're bleeding a lot!'
    'Yes, let's help. Help."
Sophia, who had long words in her mouth like a prayer, went back to the boy. She and Erin joined forces to lay the boy upright in the grassland flat.
The boy's straight forehead had a long sharp cut that stretched to his eyebrows.

Sophia, who looked at the wound that constantly flowed red blood as if it hadn't been long since she was injured, took out a clean cloth from her bag and pressed her forehead.
"Erin, hold down here while you're making your mom stop bleeding."

Well, the boy shuddered and groaned as he pressed the wound.
"Wolf, are you sick?" The boy looked very sick even in the eyes of young Erin.

She looked closely at the boy's face, feeling sorry. It's weird. Why do you want to be nice to him?

Ever since I first saw him trapped in a cage, I've been feeling how he is. It stings Erin's heart here. The boy was like a rabbit that had been held in blood by the hands of his father's count, which he had once seen.

It was so pitiful and sad. Erin was crying, wiping the blood off his face with his own skirt. The heated boy's body was as hot as a ball of fire. When Erin's little hand touched, the boy shook his eyelids and opened his eyes dimly.
    "…………Darn it, it's still alive ····."

The boy, who blinked his eyes as if he were excited by heat and out of focus, spat out his words like sobbing. Erin was surprised and delighted and pressed my face close to his face.

'Oppa, does it hurt a lot?'
".. Are you... again? the boy, whose eyes met, mumbled with difficulty.
Erin replied with a powerful nod.
"Yes, it's me, Erin. I'm going to make you feel better soon, so wait. My mom knows how to make medicine that doesn't hurt her when she gets hurt."
" ...Leave him alone........." his voice was so small that I couldn't hear him well. Erin, who was pointing hard at Sofia, put his ears close to his lips.
"I'd rather live like this than be a beggar..."
Blinking, weak eyes looked up at her. The blue eyes were as pretty as brilliant beads, but they looked very sad as if they were about to cry. Again.
Also, Erin, who cried with the boy while sleeping last night, hated that he was sad and sick.
Erin whispered quietly in his ear as he watched his mother making herbs.
'Do you want me to stay with you?' '......what?'
'My mom said. My mom said that she didn't have a hard time and she didn't get sick when I was alone. Erin, I'll protect you too."

The boy, who frowned for a moment, let out a groan after the wound hurt. Erin blew around the hoho wound with her mouth and gave a small answer.
"Huh? What do you think?" The boy blankly met Erin from a close distance as if his eyelashes were touching.

When he looked at her without blinking, the young woman also gave her strength to her eyes and conveyed her true feelings to him. Don't get sick.
Erin doesn't want you to get sick.
"......yes," the boy, who had been eye-contacting her for a long time, replied as if to turn off and slowly closed his eyes.
    "Oppa?"
Erin was embarrassed to see the boy who was unconscious and drooping and called loudly, but suddenly his vision became dark.

Feeling dizzy and his vision turned upside down and his feet turned off, Erin opened her eyes in surprise. The trees, the smell of dirt, and the sound of bugs disappeared, and the ceiling of the bedroom with cute patterns was visible.

Erin jumped out of her seat and looked around the bedroom in a daze. What was that? Did you have a dream? However, the appearance of a young mother and a young duke was too realistic to be a dream.
So, did he see the memories she had forgotten as a dream? Memory was buried deep in the heart and suddenly popped out.

But it was weird. I'm sure I remembered that the Duke and I were driven away by assassins when we were young, but what else was this memory? The memory that popped out of nowhere was not right in time, but it was too specific and vivid for a dream.

The blackness that young Erin still felt made my heart ache. Lying on the dirt floor covered in blood, the small man looked exhausted and distressed. I barely managed to get myself together.

The pain in his voice, which he was still asking if he lived, reached me desperately. It was a miserable appearance that I could not imagine at all.

[ "You saved my life in many ways."]

I felt like I could finally understand the heavy feelings of what he had said in embarrassment. It is not easy to say that he saved it, but the boy looked so badly hurt that even a small touch by young Erin could be felt with warmth.

Erin couldn't fall asleep again for a long time and left the room after tossing and turning. The mansion was in darkness, holding the silence before dawn. The light in the hallway shone softly inside.

Just as he was going down the stairs through the hallway, Erin stopped in surprise. A black shadow was blocking the stairs. It was a peacock when I saw the reflection of the light.

Sitting at the top of the stairs, leaning against the railing, he looked up at her and said,
"I hope you're not surprised. I came first."
    "Have you been well?"
I remember the Duke, who said he was going to a faraway place during the day, and when she asked, he replied with a strange frown.

"I got the answer I wanted."
Why do I look unhappy, unlike words? Frustrated, Erin looked at him and asked carefully.
"Well, can I see what you're doing?"
"I couldn't sleep, so I was wondering if I could work, but I was bothered"
Unlike usual, looking at her, the Duke's expressionless face felt unfamiliar without laughing. Sitting on the floor wearing only a light shirt and pants, with only one knee standing up, looked drowsy and somewhat defenseless. Suddenly, it seemed to overlap with the tired and lonely boy I saw in my previous dream.

    Erin asked hesitantly.
"......can I sit next to you?"
Instead of answering, the Duke tapped his fingertips next to me, and Erin crept along. As she sat awkwardly and looked around, the duke mumbled with a self-help smile.

"Wait, I thought you were running away like before."
"I couldn't sleep, so I came out thinking I'd steam the wind. And I repeat, I keep my promises."
I said it, and then I flinched and flinched. I remembered her promise to stay with me so that I wouldn't get sick.
"I remember what you said when I was a kid. Life is still a mess, no, well, it's not hard, is it?"
The Duke turned his head and looked straight at her. His expression, which was shaded by a lamp, still seemed indifferent. It was conscious that the Duke always smiled whenever he saw her. Is this facial expression real? However, his eyes were warm, so he didn't feel scary or cold at all.

The Duke looked closely and asked, tilting his head.
    "Why, do you ask that?"
    "You look very upset."

The Duke, who was looking down at the floor with his eyes down for a moment, spoke low.
"When I changed my position and thought about it, I thought it wouldn't be a pleasant memory for you."
"Not necessarily. Thanks to you, I thought about my mom a lot."
Erin was embarrassed when the Duke, who had always emphasized his childhood promises, said the opposite.

As the real-sawed duke touched the tip of his eyebrow, Erin realized that the place he touched every time was a scar he had seen in his dream.
"I'm so glad. You don't have any scars left." "The scar?" The duke, who looked at her seriously, paused when Erin's eyes touched her eyebrows.
    "Check it out for yourself."
His frowned voice seemed to tremble in small pieces. When the Duke responded too seriously, Erin reached out her hand carefully and pointed at the tip of his left eyebrow. The flinching duke grabbed her wrist lightly.
    "Are you sure there?"
    "Well, am I mistaken?"
"Honestly, I can't remember well because I was so excited at the time. I want to hear it from you again."

As the duke rushed his words as if he wanted to hear it again directly from you, Erin began to talk rambling about what she saw in her dream. I thought I had broken up after being chased by an assassin, but on my way to see my aunt, I saw him again who was lying down with a knife on his forehead.

So, she seemed to have made such a promise because she was heartbroken when she saw him hurt. However, as Erin continued, the Duke's eyes grew bigger. At first glance, he seemed very surprised.

'You really don't remember anything? So when did you promise to get married instead of this time?'
Erin, who finished talking, was agonizing, and the Duke, who breathed heavily, leaned his forehead on her shoulder.
"I'll be like this for a second."

His shoulders shivered with his head down to the fullest. He seemed to laugh quietly or sigh one after another.
I didn't know how long I was doing this. His laughter grew louder and louder. In the serious atmosphere of the duke, Erin, who was suspicious of my ears at first, was choked with tears and bit my body back.

    'Why are you laughing?'
    'It hurts and it's sweet.'
'What?' the frowned duke smiled alternately pointing at both sides of my chest.
"It hurts on this side, and it makes my heart flutter. To be honest, I don't know which rhythm to play."
Erin, who was trying to argue, looked at him blankly. The ball was very strange right now. If I weren't handsome, I would have been quite scared at this time of night. However, Erin couldn't shake her eyes from the duke who glistened his eyes at her.

Gradually, his expression seemed to be full of complete laughter as usual. Frowning eyes, smiling eyes, His lips, which had arsenic, revealed his teeth and smiled broadly.

And completely changed to a sweet smile like sugar, he said without an accent.
'You said you were good at keeping your word, so I'll look forward to it, trust me.' 'Huh?'

'You promised me you'd protect me from the pain. I'm still very sick."
Honey fell from my face as if I had no expression. Feeling full of energy, Erin argued with him.
"Why don't you have a middle ground?"
"My heart is divided in half. You can stir my cold, hot heart and mix it properly. It's hot, meaningful."

Being warm is a good thing. But why does that ordinary word sound so cheesy? Erin stood up from his seat with his fists clenched when he was thought to be teasing him.

"Good night! There's a saying that the early bird catches the worm, so let's call it a day.
    I'm going to sleep."
Behind Erin's flying back, hahaha, the Duke's laughter rang loudly in the castle of dawn.

    'What's this?'
    'Your Highness sent it.'
Mary and Erin stood side by side and couldn't keep their mouths open when they saw the flashing "dummy" on the table.
"I asked for just ten gold coins!"
    "Lady, it looks like gold..."
"Where's this big gold coin? What should I do? If I add all of this together, it's much more than my entire fortune."

The "Geumhwa," which is thicker than most books, even the patterns of the peacock family were clearly stamped. Erin, who was wandering around the "golden coin" pile, looked back at Mary with tears in her eyes.
    "Why isn't there a middle?"
Mary, who was alternating between gold and Erin, answered cautiously.
'Your Highness is rich enough to build a few castles with gold.'
    'But?' 'I'm just saying so."
Flustered, Erin tried to listen, sniffing a gold coin. But there was no chance. Thinking about it, she rushed to the office and knocked on the door. Even before the call was over, the Duke, who had just opened the door, said with a smile on his face.
"We've got a deal. You can't back off now.'
    'How can you do this?'
'Where is it. Perka's gold coins are just a little different from the ones on the market."
"A little bit? You can't even buy anything in the market with such a big chunk of gold!"
"The butler will change it for you."

Erin squinted and scattered him up and down.
    'Really?'
'I've never seen a person who doesn't want to give me money.'
'I borrowed it, so I have to pay it back.'
'If you can't pay me back, just take it.'
'I've never seen anyone as impatient as your highness.'
The Duke, who snorted, even reached out his hand and replied. "That's great. We've never seen each other before. My name is Roan."
    "What?"
When Erin, who was speechless, opened her eyes wide, the Duke, who had his arms raised, folded his arms.
"I'm telling you to stop calling me 'The Highness'. It's no big deal to call a name, picky."
picky? Me? Erin squinted her lips out of injustice, and she raised her eyebrows and said.
"To be honest, I'm afraid I'll get a grudge against you for borrowing gold coins."
    "What do you mean, want?"
" Now, do you want to break the deal? Do you know that the person who broke the deal usually has to pay ten times the down payment?"
Ten times as many gold coins. When Erin, dizzy from the unimaginable amount of excess capacity, stumbled, the Duke even smiled with his eyes pointing to her forehead.
"No, this was the down payment. You can pay ten times as much at once, or you can pay ten times in a row."
When he saw the duke pointing my lips and forehead alternately, Erin remembered his forehead kiss. Her face quickly turned red as she recalled the hot and soft touch of his lips. And you want me to make it big on my lips?
She walked backward and pointed her finger at me.
"Two, you'll see. I'll make a lot of money and pay you back with interest!"
"Yes, try to pay me back throughout your life."
The Duke leaning on the doorstep waved his hand loudly, saying, "Do well."
Forever? Forever like this? Erin, who was backing away.
Before going around the hallway, she paused and looked back. But when her eyes met with the duke who was still standing in front of the door and looking at her, she quickly stepped on her feet.
'Why am I so embarrassed every time even though I know you're teasing me?'
Erin wrapped her burning face with both hands when he couldn't see me.

    ****

"I will cut off all the funds that go into the palace in the future."
"The emperor's opposition will be great." "Instead, I support the prince. The greedy old man should disappear for this country, too much of this country."
The expression of the peacock cutting the horse like a knife was even young. Lawrence did not know why the duke would cover up and go if he were a palace. Just the duke and his wife.
It was just a guess that they were paying back the grudge that caused the former duchess to be swept away by the war.

The emperor, who lost a series of wars, was losing ground as the aristocracy grew bigger. On the contrary, the status of the crown prince increased, and there was even a movement to advance his ascension.

The crown prince's closest aides were the Count of Jephahn and his eldest son, who owed the duke a great debt.
The Duke set his sights on trade. He paid off his debts, attached them to the crown prince's side, and held them at his will.
    "The emperor is completely over."
Anyway, Lawrence seemed to feel relieved if the greedy and cruel emperor disappeared.
"Erin?" the duke asked the butler, as if to ask when he had the fat on his face.
    'You're at the market.'
'Really? I'm glad I have work to do."

Your Highness won't have a "market" job, so what's good about it? Ignoring Lawrence, who was impatient, the Duke was very light on his step out of the room after changing the tight schedule like turning his hand upside down. The other way around.
Lawrence, who always has to postpone his work to tomorrow, has become as heavy as he is wearing iron.

"It has to be a mushroom with a good root. 'Cause I'm going to cry with a seed.'
'You're going to grow another mushroom, aren't you, miss? It's hard to grow Saya mushrooms because they only grow in Sada soup."
"Don't worry about that, just promise me you'll sell them."
"Oh, it's good for me to buy expensive mushrooms at a low price and sell them." Erin made a deal with a middle-aged woman who looked like Sarah, one of several select mushroom merchants, about the mushroom trade. Although it was just a preparation stage, she was excited because she seemed to have started a big job. 'Everything's gonna be fine.'

Erin, who was looking around the market excitedly, organized the ingredients needed for the fertilizer mix of mushrooms she learned from her aunt in her head.
"Word droppings, leaves, worms, um, and what was it?"
Then she found a small bookstore inside the alley. Enthusiastic, Erin looked carefully at the pile of books. She gladly picked out a book with mushrooms in its title.
    "Oh, my!"
But Erin quickly closed the bookshelf, frightened, as she passed the book after imagining a book similar to a plant sketch. Mushrooms, they weren't the ones she knew!
She opened her eyes while hesitating and glanced slightly over the bookshelf.
Oh, my God! Oh, my God, this is happening! Erin, who had been covering others' mouths and exclaimed, eventually grabbed the book and crept up to the owner and asked.
    "How much is this?"
Erin, who bought a book as if possessed and hid it well in a bamboo bag, suddenly looked at his head.
"Why do I feel so used to this?'

As I was about to leave, I noticed a book belonging to a pile of books near the entrance.
Out of curiosity, Erin tried to reach out and pick it up, but unexpectedly someone took the book first. When I turned around, I saw Kaien Zeba, who flashed blonde hair, standing there. He also seemed surprised to see her and smiled and greeted her.
'It's a coincidence to meet you here!'
'Hi, By the way. But are you interested in magic to choose this book?'
'I was going to look at it because it's pretty.'
    'Then don't believe in magic?'
'I don't believe in it, but I don't think it could be.'
"That's too bad. My hobby is collecting magic books with tarot."
Magic? I think the Duke said that, but do all Mercian men believe in magic?

Erin looked suspicious, but Cayenne smiled very brightly.
"But you have something in common that you like books!"

My eyes were blinded by my beauty and laughter. She judged him by glancing at his handsome face.
"It's because of the complicated relationship with women, but I don't think he's You said you had a lot of sense of humor, right? This and that must be really busy.'
Anyway, it's all around here.I thought it would be better not to be close to the seemingly difficult self-composed work. Erin only asked about the matter and decided to break up with him.
"Did you happen to hear anything about her?"
    "Yes, unfortunately not yet."
Cayenne asked, "Thank you for being a little disappointed," mumbling as a courtesy. "Can you spare me a moment? I have something to tell you."

Erin, who was going to refuse, followed when he took the lead, thinking let's just listen to him.
Located in the square in the middle of the market, the pie shop was very crowded with people. It was a place recommended by Cayenne as the mayor's specialty. Sitting face to face at the table after ordering a pie, he suggested.

"Madam's niece is my family. Of course, I don't want to be a real family with a beautiful woman, but what about close friends like family?"
Erin looked around and replied embarrassingly.
'Thank you for your words, but wouldn't it take time to be truly friends?'
'Yes. As expected, you'really. By the way, is it okay to stay in the castle?"
    "Yes, I'm doing very well."
"I've told you before, but if you need any help, please visit Cayenne anytime."
"I'm very grateful just to hear from my aunt." Erin replied unhindered, but he asked again.
"Your Majesty, I know, is not kind to women. Are you sure you're okay?"
"No, Your Grace is too kind."
    "Kindness?"
Cayenne, who was smiling and talking, smiled and asked again with a straight face, and Erin felt slightly bad.
"Why are you asking like that?"
But I'm mistaken. Why is the back of my head hot?
Erin looked back. Looking back, there were only people who were busy with their work and no one saw her.
Cayenne, who was lost in thought for a moment, replied in a tone that he was worried.
"I don't know if I can tell you this, but the women I know are suffering from the Duke's Highness--Oh, it's hot!"
Whispering, there was a sharp sound of air separating, and Cayenne was hit by a pie flying from somewhere.

The women sitting at the back table got up from the seat and apologized urgently.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Slipping off my hand, that's enough!"
If you didn't throw it, how could a pie slide in your hand fly in the air? Erin looked at them wondering. However, as he stood up and wiped out the pie's fountain, Kien replied with a smile at the young and pretty women.

"It looks like the women are too weak to miss the pie. The pie in this house is so heavy that it's filling."
What? Erin suspected his ears, and Cayenne sat tenderly bitten by apologizing women.
'How far have I told you?'
'I'm doing fine, and I'll let you know when I hear from my aunt."
When Erin changed her words because she didn't want to make the Duke a topic,
Cayenne muzzled as if he had something to say.
But she woke up shaking her head. Unless it was about my aunt, I didn't want to hear more. It was also burdensome for the women around him to stare at Cayenne alternately.

He was so noticeable that I thought so, but I heard the women at the table who threw the pie whisper.
"How dare you slander your highness..."
"Dismantle. But I couldn't bear to throw it at my handsome face."
Erin roughly greeted Cayenne and left the pie shop. As she was busily walking down the alley of the market, a large black In-young blocked her.
"Your Grace? How did you get here?" Erin looked at the duke in a cape in surprise.

He took the bag in her hand and shrugged. "I was on my way out of the inspection. Do you want to go with me if you still have work to do?'
'No, I was just about to go back.'

Sitting side by side in the carriage back to the castle, Erin began to care about my bag, which the Duke kindly carried. It was because I belatedly remembered that I put a book I bought at a bookstore in there.

The Duke smiled when he lifted the bag, wondering if she noticed her eyes were staying in the bag.
"I'm used to the weight of the bag. You must have bought a book."
"Your Grace, did you put a tail behind me?"

It was strange to find yourself well, even when you were lost before. How did you know that you bought the book, and the women at the pie shop were also suspicious.
When Erin asked, the Duke smiled and shook his head firmly as if he was in trouble.
"As long as you're my guest, I can't leave you alone if you're out of the castle. The Guardian will never interfere with your business unless it's a personal threat."
    "But-"
"I went to the market and I just happened to meet you. I don't receive any reports of your whereabouts. So you don't know what you've done with him."
    "What do you mean, he?"
"A useless second-born son, a wretched birch or an empty-headed blonde womanizer."
At the end of the Duke's words, Erin stopped half-thinking and rolled her eyes.

"Well, if it's not my mistake, are the three of you the same person? If it's my 50th son, I just happened to meet him at the bookstore."
"By chance in such a large market?"
"You met your highness," the Duke squinted and frowned.
Erin followed him and asked, narrowing her eyes.
"But if you didn't receive a report, how did you know I met my own masterpiece?" "Because I could see it at a glance. You were sitting in the middle of the square" "You can see me well?"
The Duke, who paused for a moment, replied as if he were angry.
"No, he did. It's shining brightly."
His eyes were fierce as he glanced out of the carriage. After a short break, the Duke asked carefully.
"But does it feel bad to put an escort on you?"
"Well, I don't know, but I think it's impossible considering your status. I don't want to be an excuse for being your guest."
"Okay, I'm glad you understand. Then let's say hello while we're at it."

The wagon came to a gentle stop when the Duke knocked on the wagon wall. Soon the door opened, and three women in casual clothes bowed down to Erin.
    'I'll greet you, miss.'

As I guessed, the guards were hit by the women sitting at the table earlier. When Erin looks suspiciously, they politely cross the line pretending to be new.
"I look forward to your kind cooperation. We're in your command, but we'll take you first."

The Duke's knights, or Kaien, appeared on purpose and threw the pie when he tried to insult the Duke.
Erin also said hello to the female drivers, pretending not to know.
"Nice to meet you. I look forward to your kind cooperation."

Later, these escorts became the first elite members of the Order of the Guardian of Perca, which shook the entire continent. However, the beginning was so small.

    *****

The duke castle consists of a total of four zones centered on the central garden. The largest main building in the center, the eastern annex, the employees' quarters, and the rest were guests' quarters.

Erin was walking around the castle as soon as he had a chance. It was a job to sell footwork as it was wide, but the buildings and the garden with each other were beautiful, so the snow was pleasant. Employees encountered everywhere stopped what they were doing and greeted Erin politely.

Mary whispered beside her as she welcomed her.
"It's enough for you to give me a wink, miss," Erin whispered to Mary's repeated requests, who had already become more comfortable.
    'It's nice to meet you.'
'I think you're in a good mood today.'
'I feel good no matter what I do when I get away from studying."

"If you don't want to, tell your Highness."
"I'm doing it because I want to. But I don't like studying."
" I couldn't read anything other than novels. I can't even tell you that the butler will teach you."

I also hate studying, and Mary, who shook her head, gestured at the annex. The annex with a small pond was smaller than other buildings, but was more delicate and antique.

"It's written by the Duke and Duchess of Korea. Your Highness has been very careful.'
" Even though the castle is so big, it's as great as a piece of art.'
'Why don't you tell your Highness yourself? You'll love it."
Erin shook her head awkwardly at Mary. The Duke's expression of "good" toward her made me feel deep inside my heart.
    'Every day feels different!'

Entering the entrance of the annex, the well-polished candlesticks caught the eye. On the front wall of the hall, a large portrait of the duke and his wife hung side by side.

    "You're so beautiful."
Erin was amazed at its breadth. The former duke had a heavy appearance that resembled the duke, and his wife had white blond hair, turquoise eyes, and a very elegant and elegant atmosphere.
"How can you call me your ideal type with a mother like this?"
    "What's wrong with you?"
Erin murmured, and a low voice in the back answered to himself.
    "Oh, I was surprised."
I turned around in surprise, and the Duke, who suddenly appeared, was looking up at the portrait with his back on his hand.

Mary, who was by his side, was already avoiding her seat.
The duke, who still looked at the portrait, continued.
"Well, I'm a man of my heart, so to speak. That doesn't mean you're not pretty. "I'm a bird, fur, like. I'm more fluffy."

His mouth trembled as he stopped talking. Erin, now accustomed to the Duke's "symptoms," is curious. Most of his words are cheesy, but he's having a hard time.
What's the standard? I think it's especially related to the lark.

The duke or the last question asked, who took a long deep breath and regained his peace of mind.
"What are you doing? Did I interrupt?"
"No, I was just looking around. I thought it would be good to memorize the structure of the castle."
As soon as Erin's words were over, the Duke glinted his eyes and smiled as if he were happy.
"Yeah, it's a house to live in, and I hope you know it. I'll show you around."
    'I think you're busy, but it's okay.'
    'I'm not busy at all.'
Erin looked at Regil's aide, who was hovering around the entrance of the hall, hugging a document to the Duke's stern answer.
When the Duke made a jawline with an ugly expression, there was lingering feelings on the back of Rezil, who was reluctant to step back.
The duke blurted out, blocking her gaze.
"Someone said it's easier to memorize places if you remember them."
    "Wow, that's a nice word."
"Right? Someone said something that sometimes hits the nail on the head."

The Duke with a proud look stared at her. Is that from someone you're very much said? Should I be more impressed?

When Erin smiled awkwardly at the persistent gaze of the English language, the Duke with a smile went first.
"Let's go to the second floor. Let me show you the room I used when I was young. When we give birth to our children, they'll move here"
    "......my children."
"The place to work and the place to rest should be separated. Your mother.'
    'You're wise. But-."
"So you agree? Look around and tell me if there's a place you don't like. I'll fix it in advance."
His decision to marry is also female, but he was already overwhelmed to discuss the child's room. I might end up naming my grandchildren.

"Well, they're all great and wonderful. ······"
Erin blurted out the end of her speech, but the Duke, who didn't care much, led her upstairs.

The rooms were smaller than the main house, but they were cozy. The duke kindly explained the room by opening it one by one. But this time she freaked out in a different sense.
"Oh, you were a genius in math, science and music. You did a good job with swordsmanship?"
The Duke explained the room and added his childhood brilliance as if he were bragging, but there was no end. I don't think he's in the middle of bragging about it's.

When the duke opened all ten rooms and bragged about each other, Erin muttered without emotion as he was tired of listening and listening.
"There's nothing you can't do. You've been very handsome since you were young. Oh, I see."

The Duke, who looked at her with his chin raised in a proud manner, grinned.
"I'm even talented in languages. I can speak five languages."
Oh, I can't stand it. Erin, who could not see the twirling duke, raised her head and asked.
"But your highness. I can't think of a word. Blending the exaggeration and flaunting the facts to others -- well, what was that?"
    "Yes, that's it."
Nodding, Erin looked at him stubbornly with a tight mouth. However, the Duke did not budge.
    Rather, he shrugged and snorted.
"I'm not bluffing, I'm really good. Now, stop talking about me being brilliant and tell me about your childhood."
"Me? I barely finished my basic course.' 'Not like that. What kind of kid was Erin? Except for the fact that he revealed his handsome face."
Oppa? Erin opened his eyes wide because he was surprised. I immediately remembered what I called him "Handsome Wolf Brother" when I was young.

When she blushed with embarrassment, the Duke smiled and teased her.
"I was saved by you because of my good looks. And most of all, I think my talent is this face."
    "..."
"My handsome wolf brother grew up to be this pretentious man. How's it going now? Isn't Erin handsome enough to suddenly marry her?"
Eventually, Erin shook her head and blocked her ears with a red face. I was even more ashamed because I laughed and teased as sweet as honey would fall.
The embarrassed woman has arrived. When she ran away, the Duke shouted loudly from behind.
"Answer me. What do I need to marry you other than a handsome face?"
"Middle! Why don't you have a medium?" Erin came downstairs and shouted with her hands together.
The Duke looked down at her with a railing and laughed. Unlike the usual sweet smile, it was a grumpy-looking smile.
"I don't know about that, but I'll try. So you're getting married as a prize?"
    " The order's changed!"
"But now you never say you can't."

Erin looked up at him and mumbled, and the Duke asked back.
'What kind of a fiery relationship do you want?'
    'I don't know.'
'Then can I do what I want?'
'How can I do more here?'

    *****

Lawrence, who was standing in front of the door of the annex, looked back and asked, sick of the conversation coming from inside.
    "Are they yelling for us?"
Mary, who was standing next to him, looked inside and shook her head and replied.
"No, you two are on different floors."
    "So why?"
Lawrence, who was distressed to hear, shook his head frowning, and Mary looked at him with a sad look.
"You've never been in a relationship, haven't you?"
'Why is that coming out of here?'
    'That's the answer.'
"That kind of weird behavior is a relationship."

Lawrence suddenly rolled hard on the ground with his feet.
"Where do I have time for a relationship? I haven't been home since I joined the Knights! This is not the life I've dreamed of!"
": Calm down, aide. Your Majesty might get better if you get married."
"You're still delaying your work, but if you get married, it's more, it's not going to decrease! What if I don't get married and work and die alone?"
As Lawrence tore my head off, Mary, who sighed long, patted him on the arm carefully.
"Cheer up, aide. There's a saying, "There's a right pair of twisted left boots, too."
Lawrence and Mary, who are sad about him, looked at each other for a long time.

    ***

There was a heavy silence in the office. Erin was restless and swallowed dry saliva as if the sofa had become a thorny cushion.
"Are these explanations really in the book?"
    "They're very basic.'
    " I didn't read it!'
'I can't go on the next step because I didn't know this.'
Erin lifted and put the paper, looked sideways, and looked upside down when the duke said he felt sorry for it. But nothing changed.
She got nervous and was about to break out in a cold sweat. "Oh no."
The duke, who stood arm in arm next to the table, kicked his tongue and shook his head. Erin bowed his head like a sinner and sighed melancholy in front of him. I wanted to write even one letter, so the flower only fiddled with the pen, but there was nothing to write.
"I made it as easy as I could."

The duke put his hands on the table, bent down, and looked at her, and Erin, who was alternating between the test papers and her, grumbled softly.
"Your Highness, I honestly don't even know what the problem is. I think you overestimated me."
"Let's solve something we can solve, shall we?"
Erin read the last question again and glanced at him. At the end of the list of unknown economic and trade terms, only the very last one stood out.

[Describe a fiery love affair as you know it.]

I think you're making fun of me. I want to write something down, but she doesn't know. And I felt like I shouldn't write down anything easily because I was sure that it would come true as soon as I wrote it down.
'This doesn't have anything to do with my studies.'
'What are you talking about? You need to know the answer before you can move on."
So what's the next step? When Erin swallowed the horse and looked at it resentfully, the Duke laughed.
"I can't help it because you don't answer even if I ask you in person."
"This is very unfair. Abuse of power."

"Then solve everything you know except the last question."
    "Well, I really don't know."
I think you're holding back your laughter. What's this feeling of being completely fooled?
Erin smeared her lips, reflecting on the past time when she couldn't sleep well because she was studying. The duke reached out his hand and soothed her by gently stroking her hair.
"Don't be so disappointed. I have a lot of time to study in the future, so I can look at it next time."
"No matter how much time I have, I don't think I can unless I change my hair."
He added firmly to Erin, who became depressed with tears, unlike the Duke's friendly touch.
"You didn't pass the test, so I'm gonna have to do you a favor."
"What? There was no such condition!"

Erin, who was still comforted by the Duke, looked up in surprise. I can't do it if I failed the test, but I felt unfair.
The duke suggested as if he had waited in a disgusting eye contact with her.

"When it gets warmer, we'll be out on the western border for a few days. I want you to come with me.'
'Do I just have to follow the inspection? Is that really all?"
I thought there would be a big request, but Erin looked at him suspiciously in a simple way.
'It's not an easy thing to do because you have to drive a long carriage, stay and camp.'
    'That's fine, but can I come? I don't know anything, but I think it's just a distraction."
"I'm going to make facilities for women in poor villages, so I need someone to give advice from the same woman's perspective. And I want you to be my friend on the way."
'That's a good thing. Of course, I should go."
As Erin quickly changed her hesitant attitude and easily accepted, the Duke raised his eyebrows.
"This is so easy for you to let me do it?"
    "It's about helping others."
The Duke squinted at her for a long time. Then he reached out his hand and slapped her on the forehead with his fingertips and lifted himself up.

"I'm sure you're the same, but I'm a little upset, too?"
When I heard a knock, I glared at the door with a look of annoyance at the operation, which was talking to myself low.
"You must be busy. I'll be on my way," replied Erin, who gestured to stop him as he got out of his seat because he seemed to have interfered with his work.
    "Come on in,"
Lawrence came in with the Duke's harsh eyes without knowing anything, and offered out the documents for approval. While waiting, he gave Erin a wooden bow, and she picked up the rough paper, covered the last question, and asked Lawrence.
"Do you know the answer to these questions?"
Lawrence's expression, which was looking at the test paper she gave, changed greatly. Reading the test paper repeatedly as if he was suspicious of my eyes, he asked back with a startling look,
"Is this what Mercia says? Isn't that a traditional idiom? What the hell does this mean?"

Erin looked at the peacock walking behind my desk.
'You said it was a basic problem?'
'Are you going to show anyone our own secret books?'
the Duke put the papers down on his desk and cut her off.
Erin, who was full of injustice, protested loudly.
"Push? It was a test. I was going to find out the answer, but did you come up with such a difficult question?"
But the Duke, who shrugged, pretended to toss and turn the papers and replied as if it was insignificant.
'I didn't know you'd allow it so easily.'
'It's a test for me, Your Grace, what's the matter with you? This test is invalid!"
Erin jumped up from his seat, pointed at the desk as the Duke had done earlier and pushed him in the face.
"Do it again because it's invalid!"

The duke, who looked at her only by looking at her, seemed to be in trouble, but smiled mischievously.
"So I told you to do whatever you know. I would have done everything I could."
'I don't even want much. Give me a proper exam question again!"
'I didn't expect you to love studying so much.'
'How hard I studied! I was confident that I would do well."
The duke, who was looking up at her protesting diligently, glared at his aide and murmured.
"I want you to work with that tactless man..."
'Why are you doing this to your aide?'
'Are you taking his side in front of me?'
'Your Grace is not on my side, is he? How can you be so playful?"

The peacock, who snorted as if full of energy, stretched out his upper body and kissed her forehead unexpectedly.
"A joke, that's what you call a joke."

His lips touched her forehead so deeply that she could hear the sound of green jade. Erin wrapped her forehead and opened her mouth, and Regil ran out of the office screaming behind "Ugh-!"
Looking at the direction he went out, Erin, whose face turned red, looked back at the maneuver and shouted.
"You'll see! I'm going to get my revenge!"
'I'm looking forward to it. It's better if you pay me ten times as much."
The duke, who tapped my lips, showed his teeth, smiled and replied.
'Not that, I'm going to give you a test question!'
    'Okay, come on.'
The butler, who heard Lawrence scream, jumped in frightened. However, he alternately looked at the two quarreling and smiled, pretending not to know each other.

"You're so mean. You don't want to study because it's not worth it."
Erin grumbled as she pulled the book out of her arms.
Looking for mushrooms, the greenhouse was a great place to think alone and read books. The glass was everywhere, so it was open everywhere, but employees did not pass around here.
Enjoying the warm spring sunshine passing through the glass, Erin opened the book.
"I wish there was a clue to a fiery relationship."
Erin, who had been in a book for a long time, didn't even know that a black shadow hit her on her head.
    'Erin'
    'Aaaahhh!'
Surprised, Erin threw the book away without realizing it when the duke popped up behind him. Away from her hand, the book splits through the air and whispers, hitting him in the chest and falling to the floor.
    "Ugh."
The duke, who shook his body and groaned, grabbed his chest exaggeratedly and bent down. Erin is sure he's the one that he's hit on purpose even though he could avoid it. However, when the Duke did not stand up for a long time, she was terrified. Just in case she was worried, she bent over him.

    "Well, are you all right?"
"...I'm not," the Duke replied half-heartedly, reading a book opened at his feet with his chest on his chest.
    "Ahhhh!"
Erin, who had looked reflexively at his gaze, quickly picked up the book in fear. The place where the book was opened was a scene that was embarrassing to others.

    [Come here, baby deer]
[I don't want to, tough wolf]

"Is this an animal drawing?" asked the Duke, knowingly. Erin shook her head, hiding the book behind her back.
"Hey, this is just for a quick look when you're sleepy! Oh, it was in the closet!"
Erin, whose face turned red, hurriedly made excuses and beat herself up. In other words, she just took out the book that was in the closet, but she acted like she was guilty.

The duke pressed my face close to him with one eyebrow raised.
    "What do you even know?"
Instead of answering, Erin rolled her eyes and looked far away, and the Duke, who groaned, folded his arms and smiled crookedly.
"Well, I'm not in a position to water either. I also don't know much about dating because I learned it."
Erin, who was acting differently, looked back at him to the point where she could hear a sound.
"The books are not His Majesty," the Duke retorted without emotion, even though the facts were finally revealed.

"Oh, do you recognize me? I'm glad you cleared up the misunderstanding."
"How did you know that I like romance novels?"
"I was very convinced. But solving the misunderstanding doesn't mean you have another misunderstanding, right?"
"What do you mean another misunderstandings?"
"If I didn't learn from a book, how do I know about you? Perhaps he has met many women"

The Duke grinned as Erin opened his eyes wide after being stabbed to the point.
"I've never spoken to a woman other than you. It was my first time kissing."
"What do you mean a kiss? I only did it on my forehead!"

Erin, who was waving her hands, looked at his lips without realizing it, and quickly turned away. The Duke, who grinned after revealing his teeth, responded in a sneaky way.
"How dare you? Did I disappoint you?"
The Duke suddenly reached out and pulled her in. Erin, who opened her eyes wide, was surprised and hardened, and when she saw her face, she led her to the side of the sofa.

"Sorry to break your expectations, but I'm here to rest by your side."
    "Shh, what do you mean?"
When Erin sat on the sofa, the Duke sitting next to her shook his head.
"Because you're here just in time. It bothers me because other people nag me a lot."
    "What?"
"Before marriage, you and my wife. You know, aide nag. I want to be next to you enough to give up my job, so hide me."

    "Ahhh."
The Duke lay down on the sofa long before he could finish. It was a seat that was hidden from the outside, but the problem was that he lay down on Erin's thigh.
    "Don't think about anything strange,"

Erin, who dared not push his head away, opened her eyes with her trembling hands floating in the air.
"What do you mean, weird thoughts?"
'You can't help but do this because you don't have a pillow.'
'I think you can cut the book here.'
"What are you talking about? I'm an aristocrat from birth. I can't sleep on anything hard."

'You can't sleep on other people's legs?'
    'No one, you're a couple.'
    'Not married yet!'
    'Not yet?'
    'Not yet.'
I just put my hair on Erin's thigh. He wasn't heavy, but he felt very strange. His back head and hair only touched the skirt, but her legs seemed to heat up, tickle, and smell strongly.

    Now Erin begged him.
'Please can't you rest somewhere else?' 'Your arms are my haven.'
'Ugh, I'm sure you'll feel uncomfortable!'
'I heard your feathers are cozy.'
She tried, barely breathing hard, but the Duke, who turned his eyes slightly, closed his eyes.
Strangely, however, his cheesy last words were undercooked.

'It's okay, your feathers are warm!'
It was what the Duke said in his memory. Have you heard of it before?

The duke mumbled with his eyes closed as if he had felt her stinging eyes.
"Stop looking. I'm going to pierce my face." "I'm looking at my legs, all of me."

The duke with his arms crossed his chest more and bit his mouth. While she hesitated about what to do, he didn't budge as if he had fallen asleep. It seemed too late to push the duke away.

'This guy's just a big rock. A handsome stone is pressing down on my thigh.'
Given up, he made his own suggestions and Erin tried to ignore him. However, even when I opened the book, I couldn't see the letters, and I kept looking at the Duke.

Erin, who had been peeping, was looking at his face in plain sight. a mysterious color
The more I saw his hair, his beautiful appearance, and his manly figure, the more I could not deny what I liked.

'Did I fall in love with this look since I was a little boy and what about the handsome wolf? Enough to promise to protect?'

She rationalized that although it is true that she reveals her face, the Duke deserves to shake women's hearts just by looking at it objectively.
' Oh, but why do I feel so used to this?'

Erin, who was opening the Duke's face, felt a sense of foresight that this had happened before. I think I had seen him lying on her knees in the warm sunshine. I was worried that he would be uncomfortable, and I still felt that I wanted to be with him forever.
It couldn't be, but it was strange.

The hair of the mud in the sun shone silver. Silver slipped gently through Erin's fingers. It was like a very fine sand flowing down, and it was like collecting moonlight in your hand.

At one point, the Duke, who slowly opened his eyes, and her eyes met straight.
    "......Huh?"
Erin belatedly realized that she was caressing the Duke's silver hair as if she had been possessed, and froze.

He stroked it very awkwardly and intimately. However, the Duke did not move with his eyes met as if he were lost in thought rather than surprised.
After staring at her for a long time, she gently grabbed her frozen wrist in the air.
"This, this, this, um, I mean-"
the embarrassed Erin mumbled, but the half-up duke tilted his head and asked low.
    'How was it?'
    'What, what?'
    'The feeling of touching me.'
    'Your hair looks very nice-'
'Not like that. You used to it? Or was it awkward?"

Erin answered whatever came to mind when he looked at her without blinking and urged her to answer.
"I was strangely used to it. Have I ever done this before?"
The Duke, who let go of her wrist, stood up and breathed deeply, leaning against the sofa. And instead of answering, I brought up something else.

"You asked me. Is it okay if you are different from what I remember?"
I asked when I got lost in the market. In a daze, Erin nodded, and the duke faced him and asked in a heavy tone.
"Then I'll ask. Do you prefer the painful truth or the sweet forgetting?"
It was out of the blue, but the Duke's expression was as dark as it was in front of the stairs not long ago. Deng Daler Erin replied after serious consideration.

    "Sweet truth?"
"I hope so, too. But what if there's only two options?"
"Well, then I'll choose the painful truth. When questions begin to arise, no matter how sweet the situation may be, the heart will be not comfortable."

The increasingly serious look on the Duke's face scared her. What do you think I'm forgetting? It's so grand. Is there anything else I don't know besides my childhood work? What does the Duke really like about a woman other than me?

Actually, I'm the little sister the Duke lost? Oh, this is too much. Even the ridiculous story I saw in the book, the Duke slowly opened his mouth when he had all sorts of thoughts.

"Actually, my real hobby is separate from novels."
    "What is it?"
Erin asked along with her lowered voice, too. The Duke, who touched his eyebrows, replied.
    'Magic.'
    'Magic?'
'Yeah, actually I've been serious about magic for a long time."

I've said before that I believe in magic, but why is it here all of a sudden? I didn't get it at first glance, but in a short period of time, I imagined all sorts of things, so the magic, It sounded lame. Erin looked closely at the Duke's face, but she could not guess what he meant.

' Oh, but it's not the worst!'
In a series of dazed situations, Erin nodded silently, not relieved. Magic didn't go well with her, but surprisingly, it's better than romance novels.

The Duke made a meaningful expression and urged an answer.
    'Can you keep a secret?'
'Yes, I'll keep a secret. But, Your Grace, is that the truth of my life?'
    'For example.'
'You're not making fun of me, are you?'
"What a tease. I'm more patient than ever."
Erin looked at him half-confidently. His blue eyes, which he encountered at a close distance, twitched.

The following morning, there was a particularly prominent title between the commercial books delivered to her bedroom.

[Magic that even young children learn easily]

    *****

    Magic Circle and Magic.
I thought it was a fictitious story, but it was clear that the magical world was exchanged like commerce. Erin did not understand the book at all and confirmed once again that nothing was free in the world.
But when I was reading a book, Erin suddenly wondered.
Where am I? Who am I? Where the hell am I going?
Marriage, emerald commerce, mushrooms, magic. Things that had nothing to do with each other were well organized organically and shook her. In addition, I felt a sense of wit these days. I was familiar with the situation and place even though I had never experienced such a thing at all. It was mainly when he was with the Duke.

"Why the hell did I do that?'
I couldn't understand, especially when I thought about it in the greenhouse, where she was meticulously touching his hair. But what was even more strange was the Duke's words.
What does touching his head have to do with the painful truth? What happened to her when she was a child she couldn't remember her zero?
    "What's your problem, miss?"
Mary saw her blank and talked to her, letting go of the car. Erin grumbled, turning the book upside down so that the title was invisible.
    "I think it's a problem in itself."
    "Why?"
"You can just ignore it or ignore it, but when you see that I'm serious about it."
"Are you talking about the duke?"
    "..."
Erin, who unconsciously confessed his true feelings, hurriedly shut up, but it became positive in itself. Mary said thoughtfully, handing over the cut cookies with an experienced touch.

"Isn't it obvious? No matter how noble, rich, handsome, and nice you are, if you are someone who will live with you for the rest of your life, you must be careful and careful."

"I think I'm very greedy to hear about you so specifically."
"Never. It's your life. I hope you make your decision as you please."
"Thank you. Mary had a position, so it wouldn't have been easy to say."
Erin alternately looked at the books piled up on one side of the table when Mary left.

There were three kinds. Commercial, mushroom, magic. But she couldn't concentrate on anything.

Erin looked into my hand and remembered the soft touch of hair between her fingers, and became blank again. Then I jumped up from my seat. The beginning and the end of all these worries were only one. It was his marriage to the Duke.

'Maybe it's best to ask someone who's experienced this. Wouldn't it be better for someone who's done it before?'

As she got closer to the Duke, Erin felt a sense of incompatibility. There was a lot of strange things, and she was too well adapted to the duke, and even took his behavior for granted.

' It's even more so because you're too much for me. There are things I don't understand!'

That was the same dream that my mom came out not too long ago. I remembered the promise I had made when I was young, so I pushed her back to the fullest.

And at dawn, whenever she remembered the Duke's 'loneliness' she saw on the stairs, a corner of her heart throbbed. Erin decided to ask people who didn't know him at all, not the Duke.

    *****

The lady who promised to sell mushrooms turned out to be a couple in the market. Erin leaned over the stand and pecked with her eyes shining.
"Do you mean you've had a good feeling since you first saw your husband?"
"Then, there was a fire in my eye like I was hit in the back of the head."
    "Wow, that's fateful love!"

But unlike Erin's admiration with both hands, the woman who was packing seed mushrooms snorted,
"What's fate? I misunderstood that my ancestors gave me a honey chestnut to wake up."
    "What?"
"If I could go back to the past, I'd like to stop myself. Who would've thought a guy who was so cool and fresh outside would hang out like a withered pa when he got home?"

Just in time, a middle-aged man with a load of cabbage on his shoulder put down and kicked his tongue.
"What are you talking about, you were the one who followed me first. I mean, Chet. My eyes are sprained."

The grumbling lady whispered to Erin while he was putting down his luggage.
"My husband is diligent and well-earned. Give it to me and do a good night's work. More than anything, you just have to never do three things."

    "Three things? What are they?"
Erin clenched her ears and carefully engraved them in case she missed a single word.

"Gambling, injection, and wind. If a lover shows any signs of it, don't look back and run away before you get attached to it."
"What do you mean a lover? No!"
"No way. You're asking this because you have a lover?"
"Not a lover. Well, you're asking me to marry you, but, um, you're not a lover."
"You're not even a lover, but you're already in the process of thinking about getting married? Then you have to be more careful, okay?"
"Of course, who's wife is smart enough to know. I recognized her from the time she chose her husband well."

The rolled-up man secretly touched the back of the lady's hand, pretending to organize things on the stand.
" Speaking of the old days. Shall we do it like we did in a long time? Huh?"
"This one, in front of you!"
Pretending to hate it, the lady shed her eyes at her husband. Erin hurried out of the room with a box of mushrooms for the two of you.

Erin was lost in thought as she looked back at the vegetable shop owner couple, who put their heads together and talked affectionately.
I don't think you gamble, but I don't know because I haven't drunk with you.
The wind only heard his words about gentle purity, and I have never seen how other women treat themselves.

"Oh, I really don't know anything about the Duke."
As soon as Erin just left the entrance to the market alley, an article that popped up somewhere took a box of mushrooms from her hand. He was the youngest member of the group, tall and slender.
    'I'll hold this for you.'
'Thank you, but I can hold it.'
'I'll put it in the wagon, so finish your business, miss.'

The figure of the police officer, who politely greeted and disappeared, was straight and confident. I don't know, but at her age,
Being a member of the duke's Knights, it would take a lot of ability and effort.

    "Oh, that's so cool."
Oh, but. Erin paused the article with admiration. She suddenly realized that if she married the Duke, she would become a mistress of such a capable man.

"If I marry a duke, I will be a duchess!"
Erin became dizzy. I overlooked the fact that it was too natural to focus only on the Duke.

    Go, duchess!
I couldn't breathe and sigh more. Somehow, the more I thought about it, the more I increased. It was as if they were confined to a narrow cage by free-spirited ducks that kept their young endlessly. Her head became noisy, with her new worries increasing.

    ***

Lake Shayden, which shines the moon and stars like a mirror, was very beautiful. The air at night, which smelled like spring, was fresh and clear.
However, Erin, who was brought in half-forced, looked around with a sour look. After dinner, the Duke had brought her here in a carriage, saying he had a place to go.

[Magic to make your wish come true]

Along with the title of the book, the phrase of the book that he opened and pointed to was still vivid. Make a wish while looking at the full moon reflected in the lake or river.

The magic of making one-sided love by shouting the other's name with reverence. At first, I thought it was a joke, but his expression was so serious that I had no time to refute it.

Today is the full moon, and it is a sure sign of fate. Being misled by his words, Erin even sat side by side with him and calculated the number of cases where the full moon rose on the 17th.

"It would be perfect if it weren't for such a sudden strange part."

Erin gave up while secretly peeking at the duke with a sigh. Since this happened, we have decided to enjoy the scenery of the lake.
To put it bluntly, it was not a bad thing. My hobby is to think about magic, but isn't it much better than a messenger on the sea or a cold blood with a stone heart?

The statue of Obut and his wife slid over the calm surface of the water, drawing a round ripple. The duke rowed and passed a low horse to Erin.

"This is a special place for me, so I really wanted to come with you. Thank you for coming with me."
    "The scenery is beautiful."

As the duke smiled sweetly as if she had said something great, Erin put her hands together and emphasized once again.

"Are you just going to look at the moon instead of doing what's in the book? It's a little scary to breathe into the moon projected into the lake."
"Why is it scary? You said you didn't believe in magic."
"But, just in case, what if it comes true? I don't believe in curses, but I believe in ominous signs."
"I can't believe you're being mean, it's a gracious way to make one-sided love come true."
"That's true. I want to make love on my own, but I don't want to get it for free."

The Duke, who was rowing, paused. And one by one, one by one, said it.
'If your wish is for me, it's never right to say that what you've given me so far is free.'
'I didn't do anything for you.'
'You saved me from being trapped in a cage like a beast, and you promised to protect me from dying. You're the first person who has helped me for nothing except my parents."
"To be honest, it's close to what my mother has done."
"And it's showing up again to make my life very enjoyable. I was dying of dryness."

Erin recalled the first time she saw him on a ship. He was staring blankly, and he said, "I'm skinny and twisted."
The expression 'da' was appropriate, but no matter how much it may be, it is too much to receive such overflowing affection.

"And what's important is that your appearance is my taste"
    "What?"
Erin thought for a moment, and the Duke jokingly laughed. My appearance? I've heard that I'm pretty, but it's not enough to fall in love.
"If you hadn't told me that, I would have gone halfway. I also look in the mirror."

When Erin shook her head and replied, the Duke emphasized,
"It's my cup of tea. There's no reason for taste. Like you're trying to judge my face except for my great conditions."
    "......I don't think it's something, but I can't argue strangely."
"So. Now that I think about it, I don't know anything else, but I've never cursed at your appearance."
    "You swore at me?"
"That doesn't matter - well, it's all in the past."

I wanted to ask more about it, but on the other hand, I was scared to hear it. A duke would laugh sweetly and list her shortcomings without hesitation.

Erin turned her eyes and looked at the lake. The full moon reflected on the surface of the sculpture was round and coveted.
    "It's so pretty."

The two looked at the full moon projected silently. When the ripple caused by the sculpted boat stopped, the moon became clearer.
When the mirror-like light of the water was reflected, it was more dazzling than the real moon in the sky.

'It's strange. Why is my heart beating?'
Erin looked at the light and felt a corner of my heart slowly sinking. She muttered with her eyes on the moon.

"Why did you ask me to wish upon the moon reflected in the water? It's better to make a wish for the real thing. Somehow I'm sad.'
    'Sad?'
The Duke, who tilted his head, asked earnestly. Erin put a bitter feeling in her mouth.

"Yes, I don't know what it is, but I'm sad. I feel like it's a wish that can't be made to the moon, and it can't come true.
    "Yeah, that's possible."
"But yes, Your Grace. Do you really want magic to come true? If I fall under the spell and fall in love with you."

the Duke looked at her and smiled and touched her eyebrows.
"Sigh, sometimes I hit the nail on the head, but it hurts quite a bit."
    'The original song?'
'What do you think you are?"

Erin shook her head at once. When I got the question back, I wondered why I asked even though I knew it was ridiculous.
"I don't think so. Falling in love under the spell, you don't mean it. Doesn't that bother you, too."
    "…...Lung?"

    The Duke frowned and frowned.
Erin looked at him, but he said firmly.
'It doesn't seem like you have any respect for the other person's heart.'
'You'd be desperate to make a wish like this. Either the other person doesn't want to listen at all, or he doesn't have any other options.`
The Duke added in a deep voice. Erin shook her head though.
"No matter how much I like and can be nice to you, even if I'm in pain if I don't have any feelings for you, I should give up for you."

"Maybe you loved your opponent so much that you couldn't give up? Besides, what if there's only one person's love to depend on? Think of yourself as a prisoner in another country, and you have only one place to give your heart."
    "What? Prisoner?"
Erin nodded as she heard him grow longer. It was weird. The example was too specific.

It was a long time ago. Besides, his voice was getting louder - she asked suspiciously while looking at the duke.

She asked questionably while looking at the maneuver.
'I think you're mad at me.'
'How could I be mad at you?'
'Well, no. Your Highness is frowning very much."
The Duke, who touched my forehead, washed his face roughly dry. Erin carefully continued the question.

'Is the prisoner you're talking about real?' 'There is. You're not supposed to say that.' 'Who is he?'

Instead of answering, the duke with his hand closed his mouth and stared at her. Erin touched a corner of his chest on his gaze. Well, I feel bad and strangely excited. "Sorry if I said something rude."

"Excuse me, I used to do that."
When she apologized, the Duke, who was staring into space, replied as if he were talking to himself.
    "Before?"
'No, I mean. Sigh, I thought it was stupid, but - no, of course I think it could be."
The duke rumbled wildly out of place.
Then he grumbled, "What am I doing?" Looking at him like that, Erin asked. "Are you really going to make a wish?"
I asked him with a little nervousness, but fortunately, the Duke cut it.
    'Never.'
    'Really?'
'Yeah, I don't like this way either. It's no use if you don't mean anything."

The duke, who glanced at the moon with a strange frown, reached forward and held her one hand. He looked much relieved with a long sigh as if he were taking a deep breath.
"Then I will make a wish to you, not the moon."
The duke's hand entangled her fingers and knitted them tightly. Erin looked at him as he got closer and listened to him in silence.
    "Erin, I just need you."
    "..."
"I want to be happy with you forever."
    "..."
"I have a daughter who looks like me and a son who looks like you."
Why does it sound so desperate? In a way, even though it was an ordinary word, Erin felt stiff on one side of her chest as if she had heard a great confession.

"And I want to grow old together in my house."
The Duke's voice gradually lowered and died down at the end like he was resting.
Why? Why does it hurt so much?

She couldn't understand my greatly agitated mind. Erin looked at the full moon above the water, avoiding the Duke's direct gaze.
But it was strange. I felt a sense of courtesy. She seemed to have made a wish when she saw the moon reflected in the lake. Very desperately and sadly in vain.

    ["Roan Alexei Perka."]

Someone whispered mournfully in my head. It was definitely Erin's own voice. Did I even know his middle name? Surprised, she looked around in embarrassment, and the shiny, mirror-like moonlight pierced her eyes brilliantly.

As the moon projected through the water seemed to grow bigger and bigger, Erin was very busy doubting her eyes.

It was then. A strong wind blew out of nowhere. The wind, which blew like a witch's sinister breath, shook the small boat mercilessly.

    "Huh? It's dangerous!"
The current has risen high in the lake, which has been calm so far. The Duke, who had risen in a hurry, reached for her.
In an instant, the ship turned upside down. In a blink of an eye, she fell out of her stomach like a puke.

    "Ahhhhhhaha!"
    "Erin!'
    Swordsman-

Erin floundering and sank underwater. Ice-cold water engulfed her, and a blinding darkness blocked her from view. The Duke's shouting at her penetrated sharply in her ear. It was a short time ago that the lake, which was as beautiful as a dream, became a nightmare.

    "Erin!"
A steeple and a duke jumped into the lake and caused a big splash.
    Shoot me.

When Erin, who had sunk into the water, rose above the water, the duke hurriedly swam toward her. With her head down to the surface, she shouted urgently at the Duke.
"Your Highness, are you all right?!"

Trying to grab her shoulder in a hurry, he asked surprisedly.
'Sue, do you know how to swim?'
'Yes, I've lived on the beach for a while. Fortunately, your highness is good, too."

You even stuttered, so you must have been very surprised to see what happened to me. Erin looked around him in the dark to reassure him when she saw his face, which was clearly white.
Soon after, he kicked the sagging skirt and skillfully swerved and swam to the boat. The current calmed down again as if it had never been fierce.
    "I'll pull you up."
The Duke came in a hurry and tried to get on the ship first. But Erin waved her hand and shouted.
"It's so cold. It's faster to just swim out."

Shaking in the cold air, she began to swim through the icy lake without even having to hear his answer.
As Erin reached the water's edge, the Duke, who arrived first, grabbed her arm and sat on a dry grass. The breathless duke asked with a voice full of concern.

    'Are you all right?'
'Yes, I'm all right except for the cold.'
His face was pale and stiff as he looked over Erin, as if to make sure she was safe, even though he saw her swim well.
'Ahh!' the undressed duke suddenly picked her up.
While surprised by the sudden increase in vision, he strode with Erin in his arms.
'I'm fine, I can walk,' she struggled in embarrassment, but the tightly-held duke cut off the horse.

"This is faster," Erin, who had been clapping for a while, leaned her face in his arms. Even though it was wet, the body temperature was warm, which was transferred to a thin cloth.
His smell of water on the tip of his nose was so strong that he even. The Duke was very surprised. I thought she was the only one who was fine.

His steps grew faster and faster, and before he knew it, the Duke was half-running when he reached the sight of the carriage.

'Your Highness!' shouted the horseman and knights who were waiting for them in front of the carriage. But the Duke, who did not even see them, hurriedly sat Erin on a chair in the carriage and closed the door. Sitting next to him even though the water was dripping equally, he was busy wrapping her around with a blanket and shaking off the water without caring about his body.

Erin, who was leaving herself to his touch, gradually felt a strange sensation. I think I've seen a peacock soaked in water like this. The gap between worrying about her and getting angry and wiping her body with rough touches was too clear.

'Your Grace is very sweet, why do you feel this way?'

I've never felt as if it were yesterday, and it's happening right now.
It was also the same. In addition, some emotions began to overwhelm her mind. It was warm enough to be hot and dense enough to look murky.

What is this feeling? I was heartbroken and excited because of the strange and clear feelings that I could catch. As if possessed by something, Erin looked at the Duke.

This emotion was definitely directed at him. It was a pity to see the duke whitened because of her concern. You care and care about me from the bottom of your heart.

The feeling overwhelmed by unfamiliar feelings fluctuated greatly by him. Erin tries to suppress her mixed feelings and talks to him.

"Your Highness, I'm fine now. Your Highness needs to be wiped."
"You're still shivering from the cold."
    "Your highness, I'm fine."
As Erin repeatedly emphasized, the Duke's hand, which touched her hair, paused. She took the blanket from his hand and put it on his shoulder. Empty hands.
The Duke, who was looking down, covered his face with both hands and murmured slowly.
"I was surprised. I knew what was going on with you."
Erin hesitated, putting her hand gently on his shoulder.
'I should have told you in advance that I'm a good swimmer.'
    'I did nothing.'
'It's not your fault. Who knew the wind would suddenly blow so hard? No matter how great your highness is, you can't help the weather."

The clumsy pat-down held her hand tightly, the peacock spewing yarn. His hands were still cold and wet. I was convinced that I shouldn't leave him like this.

Oh, I don't know. Erin closed his eyes tightly and hugged him with both arms. The Duke groaned briefly as if he were surprised.
"Hey, I thought I'd do this for you."

Erin muttered like an excuse with her face burning. She was trapped in her slender arms, breathing hard.
The duke slowly hugged her back. Erin heard my heart beating fast.

I heard my heart beat starting to beat fast. But it was weird. While hugging each other tightly, Erin felt like she didn't know who was comforting whom.

Her mind, which had fluctuated with unfamiliar feelings, gradually subsided and began to warm as if it were warm.

    'Erin.'
'Yes,' the Duke called her for no reason several times. But Erin didn't even ask me why I called her. A long time later, the Duke said in a smirky voice.
    "It's good that you're a good swimmer."
    "I like myself, too."
Until the carriage arrived at the castle, the two remained in each other's arms, sharing body temperature without loosening their arms.

    *****

"It's like 'why' is getting bigger and bigger."
Erin muttered as she looked into the book. I opened the book, but I couldn't see the letters at all.
The deeper I thought about things I couldn't understand, the more complicated my brain, which I usually didn't have to write.
Above all, I kept thinking that she was falling into the water, but I kept thinking about the Duke's expression. And the way she was hugging him.
'What happened to me when I saw him and it broke my heart?'
The feelings I felt holding him in the lake were still clearly in her.
Why does the sense of wit become clearer and feels like her memory?
I couldn't have gone through it, but I felt so heavy when I was young.
What on earth is this undercooked feeling towards him?
Erin was even embarrassed because she had never felt anything unfamiliar to anyone about the Duke.

On the other hand, the Duke's attitude has changed since that day. We eat dinner together every day, and have tea time from time to time, but we have no chance to suddenly visit her with all sorts of excuses. More caring and attentive than before.

I treated her and didn't do anything mischievous. He, who spoke less frequently, gave a subtle smile and soft eyes and only said what he needed.

After having tea time with Erin after breakfast, the Duke smiled affectionately and asked.
'What are you going to do today?'
    'I'm going to study.''
"Yes, don't overdo it,' he turned around, glancing at her after finishing his speech.

    'Your Highness?'
Erin called carefully, and the Duke turned back as if he had waited.
'Well, at the lake,' he raised his chin slightly, as if to continue instead of answering. Erin tried to say what she felt, but somehow she couldn't bring up the horse's rush.

I think I've desperately called his full name on the moon reflected in the water, and I saw him wet.
It didn't add up to say that I felt one mind.
"No, I just wanted to show you how you are.'
' Why? Do I look sick?'
'No, not really. You looked a little different," the Duke glanced at her.
Then, he turned his head for a while and stared into the air, and then the bottom replied.

"To be honest, it's embarrassing. It hurt my pride as a man to drown my lover."
    "I'm very fine."
I heard a tremendous word about my lover, but I couldn't refute his serious attitude.

When Erin, who opened her eyes wide, hit his hand with her hand, the duke touched her forehead with his fingertips and smiled. "I'm glad you're okay. Otherwise, my pride would have been impossible to recover. Please wait a little while until my drowning self-esteem dries up."
When Erin nodded in a flash, the duke, who was staring at her, returned.
She shook her head as she tried to enter the bedroom door. Pride? I don't think that's the problem.

A few days later, the Duke looked very similar to when he was sitting alone on the steps of dawn. Is this also the original character of the duke?
'But you look more manly now that you're quiet.'
I thought a friendly guy was your type. No, that's not it. Wake up! That's not what matters right now!

Erin, who blushed alone, hurriedly closed the door and fanned his hands.
While studying in the bedroom, she moved to the library in the afternoon, but the duke did not come as suddenly as before.

    *****

    "Chet, what am I doing?"
Erin grumbled and took the book from the bookcase and repeatedly put it in. Today, she came to the library from the morning, but the Duke didn't come until the afternoon.

'You must be very busy. You didn't even tell me to go get some tea.'
Not studying at all, she found herself staring at the door.
Erin, who was wandering around in the library, suddenly remembered her previous dream when she saw wooden ladders everywhere.

It was a dream that the Duke forced her to climb the ladder, fearing high places. Now that I think about it, it was very detailed. Like a memory.
'It's weird. I'm good at climbing trees.'

As a test, Erin repeated climbing up and jumping down the ladders in the library one after another. It was the moment when she was about to walk down the skirt and jump up the top stairs of the inner ladder.

Dulkull, there was a door opening. Why did you. Erin hurriedly lowered his skirt and cleared her clothes, and the Duke's voice was heard.
    "Erin?"

As soon as she tried to answer, she hurriedly lowered the skirt, and the ribbon on the decorative was stuck on the edge of the ladder and did not fall out. Erin was embarrassed and missed the chance to answer as she pulled her skirt up to her knees holding her knees.

    Mary's voice was also heard.
"You're definitely here. If you're in your room, should I bring you here?"
    "That's enough. I think I'm gone for a while, so I'll wait."

Show this, Erin, who barely lowered her skirt while lowering herself, looked out again, and the Duke was left alone. He looked around, found her open book on the desk, and was turning over the pages.

As soon as Erin tried to call, the duke murmured low.
"Clean as a new book. Have you seen it?" Erin's face, which was pretending to be popular, quickly heated up. I felt wronged for a moment ago. The book I've read is in my room and it's just started.

When I heard that, I didn't want to be caught playing on the ladder. I rushed to look back to find Pinkett Street, but her bookshelf had nothing to do with commerce.

[How to raise my child as a sodmaster.]

No, why is there such a book in the library?
Surprised, there were only books on child care in front of her. I got in trouble because I had nothing more to say when I got caught.

The duke, who was turning the book over, sat half-hanging on the desk, tilted his head at an angle and stared at the chair where Erin sat. And I stammered slowly on the desk.
Thinking about what he was doing, he stretched his head out and looked closely, and he was stroking her things, including books, pencils, and paper, one after the other with his fingertips.

The duke, who had been searching for her traces for a long time, gave a long sigh as he swept his head dry.

'What are you thinking so deeply?'
I wanted to ask why he looked nervous somewhere, but I didn't think he should be caught for some reason. Sitting on the huddle ladder, Erin looked at him with breath.

Slowly rising from his seat, the Duke walked around the library. Then he gradually began to move in the exact direction she was in. Did you get caught? While Erin was restless and faltering, he turned his head and looked up exactly as he came to her ladder.

    "Erin."
When his eyes met in the air and Erin stood up, the Duke, who squinted his eyes, gestured as if not to move.
