Well the reason I am creating this thread is because of multiple reasons. First will it be possible for anyone to tell me what exactly was going on with Centinni Group. I am really curious. They picked a lot of the novels. Some of them were really good and I would hate if those chapters are lost in case the website is deleted. So if you all know the translators of the novels who worked for centinni then please ask them to contact me. I was thinking about giving them a push and recover all the lost content by making a new site or something. As I heard rumours that some of the people were not paid so that would make the translations be still owned by the translators and hence they can be posted by them or the other groups. The bad quality chapters can also be completely reedited by hiring editors if the translators give their permission. If possible then please forward to me the names of all the novels which they translated and I will try looking their translators and maybe we can work something out Please dont violate anyone privacy. Just share this post to the related people if possible and ask them to message me. I can even pay for all their translated work
I already read that lol. Its seems like the translators werent properly paid and they are stranded or something. Guess I will try head hunting for each one personally and see how many novels can be recovered.
Can't say i'm surprised, they seemed to come out of nowhere. Picked up eleventy one novels, pumped 5-10 chapters, and then dropped them.
This happened when a group tried to hog and "reserve" the translation of the novel that seems interesting. The translators are cool people, but if the ownerl/leader (or whatever you call it) of the group is not one of the translator, the group probably will be done for sooner or later.
This was also posted on their discord. https://imgur.com/a/2iW2hTb Good thing I made a Screenshot For anyone wondering, it was written at about 6 am CET.
From what I heard, some of the translators have moved to other groups. One of their translators, Lady Black, has moved her translations to Foxaholic. I don't know about the others though. I heard she's still in the process of moving her translations though...... She's translating a lot of novels.
As an outsider looking in you have about as much information as anyone I think. I "worked" for Centinni and even received my "final paycheck" from them a few days back, but I was as blindsided as anyone when the people in charge decided to take the site down. Most of the active translators (myself included) have since reuploaded their translations to other various places, but we've undoubtedly lost a lot of the content that was on Centinni and not being actively maintained. I don't think anyone had any sort of 'master list' that included every English chapter that passed through Centinni, so if whatever individual team was working on a project hasn't decided to upload that project to a new location by now, it's probably just gone - leaving nothing but a bunch of dead links behind.
Not really. My group is a few years hold and I only speak English. People underestimate how hard it is to run a group though
Maybe some of the dead links could be found in the Wayback Machine? Because some Gravity Tales link could still be read there. (Webnovel.com "kills" Gravity Tales)
