Honestly thought I think Abbington the knight already felt so dead inside that he didn't even bother to defend himself. So if his consequences requires him getting fired he will still carry the guilt of not being able to protecting Shuli. He just might as well feel like to be killed by Jeremy at that moment and not even beg any forgiveness. It's just indeed tragic.
Well my guess is jeremy would go on full revenge to ohara’s family, the church, anyone who is related to her being killed. But just my guess not a spoiler
Just my two cents but I think apart from what Jeremy will do following the news of Shuli's death, there might be a background plot/connection between Shuli and the former empress that will explain why the church is so hellbent on going after the Neuch-something family. The main reason why Shuli even married into the Neuch family hasn't even been revealed and her uncanny resemblance to the former empress who had mysterious ties to Johann, Nora's father, and even the current emperor is a big question still left unanswered at this point in the story. So adding that drama to what we could all agree to be rising tension between Jeremy's and Ohara's family could possibly start a civil war between nobles, royalty, and church.
Im disappointed I know Past life sin should nt be brought up in current one but to think that bitch Ohara became part of her Family in the end is I have objection ur honor That bitch does nt DESERVE to be part of her Family WHY??? First shes ONE OF the cause of shuli's death Second she has the guts to seduce, SEDUCE NORA F#@$@$M_@$#& Unforgivable UNFORGIVABLE NAHH AHH NEVER Be Gone Thot Be Gone
didn’t shuli tell him she wanted no guards or not many correct me if i’m wrong but while he didn’t do his job properly i believe it that’s the case he’s now just gonna constantly think he should’ve pushed for her protection. i kinda feel bad for the past slander we did in the thread because of the misunderstanding
Yeah She just only asked for two escorts and wanting to leave the house immediately. The only mistakes Abbington just didn't expect is him complaining of her departing to outsider of the household who he thought of as a friend. He was at least being responsible enough to take some initiative chasing Shuli in case his master arrived safely or not. But it was too late.
wasn't she didn't end up marry Jeremy after Shuli incident also all this hate toward Ohara feels like misplaced anger.
Yeah honestly I feel like "misplaced anger" is pretty common in reincarnation stories like this. Especially since you know, the Ohara we've seen in the 2nd Timeline is genuinely nice and it's unlikely she'll end up the same as the 1st one.
I saw that there are people that are confused as to why shuli's death lead to a civil war. I haven't read the novel but from what I understand from the spoilers it was because of the church betrayal. An ''organisation'' that supposedly serves God, but were found to be evil and doing such atrocities like killing a woman and mutilating her body + the church betraying the Imperial family. Tho it may be obvious for nobles and politicians. I don't this it was so for the people So the people saw the corruption and it led to tensions due to people using their religion and faith as means to an end Not to mention several times that the Empire had weakened a lot so I believe it caused a lot of tensions I hope I was clear enough.
Actually, the people who came to let the family know that Shuli was killed, implied that it was bandits from another nation. The war doesn't seem to be a civil war, but a war with an outside group. The church likely killed Shuli and used her death as an excuse to wage holy war (and using the holy war to grasp more power in the country). Just look at European history. Some of those holy wars were declared because the pope felt that the european leaders were disregarding them and not really "respecting" them. During a holy war, it becomes harder to turn against the church because then the church could question your faith to their god/gods.
The reason why it’s misplaced is because Ohara was portrayed a lot worse in the novel than in the manhwa. Her reasons were never explained in the novel so it made it seemed like she was simply jealous of Shuli. The manhwa fleshed her out a bit more and gave her that whole family background scenario. Also, in the second timeline, Ohara actually disliked and was rude to Shuli at first, but it seems like the manhwa is turning her into a nicer character.
i think u missing somewhere the late empresses is johnnanes's sister u can see Jeremy calling Theo his brother
No, according to previous spoilers, they're not siblings. The late empress was Johannes' first love (as well as Nora's father's first love before he married his current wife). Jeremy calling Theo brother is because they're childhood friends and Theo is like an older brother to Jeremy.
