Question "Top" or "bottom" in other languages?

Curious to know how "top" & "bottom" translate to in other languages

• ENGLISH/DUTCH: top & bottom, pitcher & catcher
• GREEK: energeticos & patheticos
• CHINESE: 攻 gōng & 受 shòu literally translate to "to attack & to be subjected to"
• JAPANESE: タチ tachi & ネコ neko literally translate to "long sword & wheelbarrow" seme & uke
• FINNISH: päällä & alla literally translate to "on top & under"
• SPANISH: soplanuca & muerdealmohadas literally translate to "neck blower & pillow biter"
• ARABIC: mojib & salib literally translate to "positive & negative" as in electric charges
• ARABIC: الاعلي & الاسفل
• EGYPTIAN: فوق & تحت

In Brazilian Portuguese is "ativo e passivo", literally translate to "active and passive"
But on the internet we also use "top/bottom" and "seme/uke"

I never thought about that at all in my language (malay). And now I'm curious to know haha,

I’m pretty sure that tops and bottoms in Japanese are Seme (攻め) to attack, and Uke (受け) to recieve. When people hear “neko” they usually don’t think of bottoms but more of cat, like cat ears, neko mimi.

 

Also to add for the Chinese category, 1 and 0 for top and bottom respectively. Pictograph at its finest.

It may have but I still haven't tried female x female

 

I was talking with a friend about who she prefers as a top and as a bottom in Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy pairings, and I didn't know what to use in french. She told me it's sub (submissive) and dom (dominant), which is a bit disappointing but it's common in french to steal english words for "internet age" concepts. Otherwise we use actif and passif.
